Alex watched the unexpected scene before him with an awkward gaze. He didn't need anyone to spell out to him exactly what had happened, because he knew this scene all too well.
From the confine of his car he could see the distress look on Vanessa as she draped her coat around the girl who undoubtedly must be her sister, the resemblance was far too uncanny. He watched as she led the girl to the side where the tricklets of rain wouldn't touch her, not that it was any better from where she had been standing before, but she did it anyway. She moved the luggages closer and used her body to shield the girl who was firmly holding the coat against herself to fight off the cold while her body shuddered.
His gaze remained fixed on Vanessa even as she whipped out her phone and frantically dialed a number with an angry look in her eyes.
