All three of them remained quiet as Alex drove the car. Each with their own thought about Alex's visitor.
Alex didn't like that Genny was becoming clingy in a way. He could tell that she was trying not to let it be obvious, but he was smart enough to notice all the signs of her possessiveness.
Even though he agreed that he had been wrong, and he should have called back or sent a text to inform her that he couldn't make it, showing up in his house in this manner was unacceptable. She could have at least tried reaching him once again that morning before choosing to come to his place.
And what right did she think she had to question him about the lady in his car? Even though he had nothing to do with Vanessa, he didn't like that Genny thought she had a right to know who the lady was.
He was going to have to pull away from her or end things with her before she did something that would complicate or, worse, ruin their friendship.
