Isaac sat down next to Druak's body and began to tell stories about their lives and what he had regretted most.
Isaac had yet to notice the dark mana which came out from Druak's body.
*Budum*Budum*Budum.
A voice echoed in Druak's, sending shivers down his spine. [My control is growing]
While Isaac was busy laughing at one of his stories he noticed something off about Druaks body, it seemed to be moving.
Isacc froze in place, but before long he realised he still had a chance, a chance to save Druak.
Isacc began to rush around to find anything that could help, he grabbed his bag and started to rummage through it.
He knew there probably wouldn't be anything but he needed to try, this was his best friend he wasn't just going to do nothing.
As he panicked and looked all over for something that might save his friend, Isacc heard something from Druak's direction, stopping him from doing anything else.
*Cough*Cough"What are you doing idiot I'm alive stop panicking." Druak seemed to still be out of breath but it was slowly getting better.
"Wait you, you're alive. Haha, you're alive." Tears began to flow down Isaccs face as he rushed to hug Druak.
"Oww, I'm still recovering, be careful." "Sorry, I'm just really glad you're alive, even if you can be a bit annoying." Isacc still had tears on his face but he seemed to have whipped most away.
"So how did you survive, I could have sworn you died." Isacc began to inspect Druaks body to see what could have caused it.
"Hey get your hands off me and I'll tell you."Druak grabs hold of a rock and use it to help him sit up. He thought for a moment but decided it would be more hassle to hide how he came back so he just told part of the truth.
"So from what I can tell one of my skills had a hidden revive skill that seemed to have saved me."*Huff* Druak took a short breath before continuing. "However it seems like it was a one time use and has had quite the effect on my stats so I might be a bit weaker for a few days."
"No worries I was the one that dealt with everything anyways." Isacc responded with a smile.
"Ok really, I seem to remember someone getting burned by a tree that wasn't even moving, haha." "Yeah sorry about that."
After understanding what had happened Isacc walked away with a slumped back and began to set up a temporary camp whilst Druak tried to recuperate as best as possible.
As Druak lay there he decided to check on the state of his body to see what was affected during the use of the skill and if anything had improved during their travels.
'Well I don't know if I should be happy or not, my physique has definitely gotten better after this journey which is good. but I didn't realise how low my stamina and mana would be. I guess I'll have to be more careful with how I use skills and spells from now on.'
Druak needed time to recover from the poison so both he and Isacc ended up camping out for the night.
While laying down Druak began to go back into a deep sleep, however this time was a bit different.
Druak opened his eyes and before him was a void-like room.
'Where am I, this is definitely different from last time.'
Suddenly a blinding light engulfed the entire room and the void seemed to completely change.
Druak was now inside of what seemed like a completely white room, but this time he wasn't alone.
Unlike in the void room there seemed to be someone else in this room or more specifically something else, a black skeleton which seemed to feel as if it could devour Druak at any moment.
[..KING AND YO... BE MY... VE.....]
'What is it trying to say.' Druak couldn't quite make out what the skeletal creature was trying to say, although it seemed as though it was talking about some kind of king.
The creature's hand began to approach Druak as a black mist began to escape from its hand.
Druak didn't know what mist was but he had no plans to find out. He spun his body around and began to sprint away from this figure without bothering to look back.
He felt that if this mist touched him something terrible could happen.
'It has been hours, doesn't this creature get tired.'
*Huff*Huff Druak was beginning to get out of breath and didn't know how much longer he could keep running, the creature just kept getting closer and closer.
Then just as the creature was only a few feet away from him the entire room suddenly went dark again.
"Hey, Druak you awake mate. You've been in a cold sweat for a while now, I was getting worried."
Druak opened his eyes to see the face of Isacc before him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Druak said as he began to stand up.
He could still feel the drain of the debuff his skill had implemented on his body, it seemed not to have gone away.
'Looks like it will be a while before I can get rid of this debuff.'
After looking at the duration left Druak went straight over to his equipment and put all of it on.
"You sure you're in a good enough condition to keep moving."
"Yeah I'll be fine, don't worry so much, Isaac." Druak said while patting Isacc on the shoulder.
"Well let's get packed up and moving then."
Once they grabbed all of their camp equipment they then began to continue their journey.
After all the delays they were beginning to get rather low on supplies so they decided they would need to pick up the pace.
While rushing around Druak was looking throughout the forest trying to find anything interesting that could pique his interest.
As he was looking around he noticed a cave that seemed to lead somewhere.
"Hey, Isacc I think I've found what we're looking for, come over here."
"On my way." Isacc said as he stumbled over a few branches.
Druak was watching Isacc struggling to get through the terrain and began to laugh.
"What are you laughing at, there's a lot of branches in the way."
"Yeah, but you made it look so difficult to get here." Druak just continued to laugh.
*Wack*Isacc smacked Druak on the back and said."Can we just get a move on."
Whipping a tear from his cheek Druak replied."Yeah, yeah, on my way."
In the distance not far from where Druak and Isacc were, a lot of noise could be heard and it seemed to be approaching them...
