Every nerve in Kaia screamed at her to RUN.
No one casually gave out that much money for 'just a night', and it wasn't even the main price. He was either a really wealthy man whose pockets won't dent with how much he just took away from it or a sex trafficker who would get a million fold of that money after luring Kaia into his trap.
Kaia believed that with her luck, it'll be the latter.
Yet, she didn't move, it seemed like his grey eyes pinned her to her seat, rendering her powerless as she grew more curious about him.
"W-Who are you?" Kaia asked, not finding it in her to be appalled at how shaky her voice sounded. Of course, when you receive more than you earn in just a single minute, with the possibility of making more, your composure is bound to fail you, even if it's by a little.
"That doesn't matter." Luca said and Kaia found herself getting infuriated at how dismissive he was being at her valid questions.
It 'doesn't matter'? She was just deposisted with her annual earnings by a strange, ridiculously attractive man who, by the way, she doesn't even know how he got her bank details. That alone was a big, fat red flag and Kaia didn't know what she was still doing here. The whole thing seemed very sketchy and she wasn't going to let herself be another statistics addition to sex trafficking or whatever ploy Mr. Wealthy had up his sleeve.
"I... I have no idea who you are and what you want-"
"A night." Luca cut in, infuriating Kaia even more. She had to take a concealed deep breath to continue.
"What you really want, sir."
"Call me Luca."
Kaia squinted at him, oh now he wants to start revealing information about himself. She would be as annoying as he was to her.
"I'm sorry, sir." She continued, revelling in the twitch of Luca's lips. It was the most expression she'd seen on him since their interaction began. "I'm not sure by what you mean by a night, and I appreciate the very generous-" Understatement. "-offer but I don't sell my body that way."
She figured it would be why he would be willing to pay such a high amount for this 'night'. Of course he wanted sex and Kaia was equally amazed and terrified on the possibility that she'd gained that much of a reputation to have men like this seeking her out. Amazed if he was a genuinely wealthy man, terrified if he was a sex trafficker.
"I didn't ask to fornicate." Luca said so easily Kaia actually drew back incredulously at his choice of words. Fornicate? Who uses that word?
"Um, okay... um..." Kaia can count on one hand how many times she'd been rendered speechless, and twice out of that handful had occured in this room with Luca. She saw a tiny smirk appear on the side of his lips at her reaction and Heavens! that was enough to increase her repressed desire to actually fornicate with him. And for free, mind you.
Luca studied her even more intensely, that tiny smirk still on his lips. He could smell the arousal off her and took pride in the fact that she reacted that way to him.
"There's an icecream shop a few streets down." Luca smiled, Kaia's heart skipped two beats at the stark difference. "You can let someone accompany us if you feel unsafe alone with me."
Kaia blinked. That was it? An icecream date? Never in her life would she have imagined that someone that looked as stiff as Luca would casually suggest they go to an icecream shop. However, when he smiled, his whole demeanor changed and she could see the playfulness underneath all that seriousness. He looked like a whole different person and that change was enough to make her relax. Even though it lasted for two seconds before the smile was gone.
"Why are you so interested in me? To this extent." Kaia asked, genuinely curious at this point. Her nerves may have relaxed a bit around him but she was still so wary. And oh so aroused she found it a miracle that she'd kept herself from jumping on him for so long, even if they were technically strangers.
"You're a special one, Kaia." Luca said, holding her gaze. Kaia could literally taste the sexual tension in the air as they sat staring across at each other, not breaking their gaze. Just when she was about to lose her mind, something suddenly beeped, coming from Luca's suit jacket.
He broke eye contact, breaking the spell as well as Kaia adjusted in her seat, reflecting on how stupid she was about to act if not for that interruption.
She occupied herself with fixing her hair as she watched Luca bring out his phone, frown at it then put it back where he got it from. There was a barely noticeable sigh from him.
"I'll have to cut this night short." He said, making Kaia tense up, awaiting his next words. What was he going to do now they didn't finish their business. Was this a tactic? Was she going to have to pay back the money then realize it wasn't real money but a hack. Then she would be sold to—
Kaia cut her thoughts short before they got anymore ridiculous. "Okay..."
Luca stood up and trying to to feel looked down on, Kaia stood with him. He still topped her with several inches and she raised her head high to make up for the intimidation.
"We'll meet each other again, Kaia." Luca said, extending his hand to lightly graze her chin. Out of reflex, Kaia jerked back. Luca withdrew.
"How'd you know my real name?" Kaia asked. She went by K. Sapphire on stage and not even her co-workers knew her real name except Paula. Yet she didn't feel as creeped out as she'd like to be, her lust for this man blinding her common sense.
Luca didn't answer, offering a small smile before walking out of the room, taking a piece of Kaia's unsatisfied curiosity with him.
