Kaia kicked the man right in the center of his face and hoped that caused enough damage to raise questions.
The fat, balding man who'd just groped her very inappropriately fell to the ground, clutching his face with trickles of blood escaping between his thick fingers.
Feeling appeased, Kaia walked towards the back as security aggressively led the man away. He would be banned forever, but it was all his fault.
The #1 rule of the Sapphire Sisters was simple and clear enough: no unsolicited groping or touching of the dancers.
If you wanted a little something more, you could pay for a private dance. That still didn't give you a right to make the dancer uncomfortable. If you did, they had every right to walk out on you with no refund.
Kaia grabbed a towel robe on her way into the emptying dressing room and wrapped it round her body. She was done for the night.
There had been a lot of private dance requests for her but Kaia turned them all down. She used to be really picky with who she gave private dances. If it wasn't up to 5 grands, she didn't see why she should risk being alone with a potential creep.
However, considering her last and only experience giving a private session that made her determined to never take requests anymore, her caution was justified.
Whenever Kaia thought back, the 85% of $4600 she cashed out from an hour's work was not worth the hassle that followed; a move, draining court cases and a creep put behind bars.
Kaia didn't think she would ever take a private dance request again.
"I've been looking for you everywhere." Paula. the manager of The Sapphire Sisters walked into the dressing room just as Kaia slipped on the last of her clothes.
"I was on stage, anything?" Kaia asked, ready to hear her out.
Paula was a good person, to Kaia, she was.
When that creep episode happnened and Kaia was really going through it with the stalking an break ins, Paula had offered her place. Even going as far as also accepting her Chanel and her unresponsive dad. It was at Paula's that she stayed at for the entirety of the trial and the process of house hunting.
When Kaia thought of people she was always grateful for, which isn't a lot, Paula would always be on that list.
"Yeah, there's a request for you." Paula kept her voice cautious and Kaia silently gazed at her as she tied her hair up. Paula never brought anyone a private session request, especially not someone wary about one.
Kaia sighed. "Paula, you know-"
"Believe me, I do, more than anyone else." Paula softly held her shoulders. "But he is really determined to see you."
"Old story." Kaia said, matter of fact. She knew she was beautiful and generously endowed, there was no use playing that down. A lot of people sort her out and the fact she didn't take private session requests increased the obsession as everyone hoped to be the lucky one they said yes to.
So tough luck for the one really determined to see her .
Kaia was ready to leave when Paula spoke up again.
"He's offering a hundred thousand dollars as a starting price." Kaia stopped in her tracks and Paula took it as an invitation to continue. "He says he wants just a night with you."
Kaia stared silently at the manager, searching her face for any trace of bullshit. There was none, Paula was serious.
"There's... there's no way someone..." Kaia took a seat, taking a deep breath.
A hundred thousand dollars would take off a reasonable chunk off her inherited debts, and it was just a starting price! She would be an idiot to reject this offer without seeing if it was real first. Even though this seemed very shady, Kaia was actually turning it over in her mind.
And if whoever proposed it was full of shit, Paula wouldn't have given them a second look. However, seeking Kaia out to tell her meant it was real.
And her next words confirmed it. "He promised to aid in the renovation and expansion of Sapphire Sisters if you say yes. And I got wired fifty grands as if to prove his point."
"Who the hell..." Kaia shook her head in disbelief, not knowing whether to believe if this was real life or not. The fact someone was willing to spend and probably that much just for a night with her.
And as someone drowning in a pile of debts her dad left them, she was blinded by that much money.
Something she'd make in a year if she worked hard enough was being offered in a night.
"Kaia, if you don't-" Paula started but Kaia shook her head, taking her hair out the hair and and letting the soft waves fall across her shoulders.
"No. Take me to him."
___________
Luca sat in the VVIP private lounge that wasn't actually a lot to look at.
Paula McGowan started this club with her sister, Vicky, over 9 years ago and it thrived the first few years but recently, it's been bad for them after a squandered fraud investment over two years ago.
When Kaia started working here a year ago, things improved, as her mystery and allure got more people patronising just to catch a glimpse of her twice week.
Luca's wolf growled possessively at that thought, and Luca found himself gripped with the same possessiveness.
He hated Kaia being a spectacle of disgusting, leering eyes that thought all sorts of things when they saw her dance.
Luca gripped the hand of the sofa tightly before relaxing when he heard footsteps. It was her.
Her jasmine perfume and the underlying clean smell of her had already gotten to him. She hesitated by the door, then pushed in, green eyes meeting his immediately.
Kaia felt something stir in her at the sight of the attractive, suited man staring at her silently without breaking gaze. She almost stumbled but kept her head up, ready to find out just what exactly he wanted.
She wasn't going to accept this blindly, no matter how much she needed the money.
Paula and a security guard were just outside the door incase this turned out badly. Kaia was praying with everything in her that it didn't.
Slipping into the seat an a appropriate distance away on the crescent shaped couch, she regarded him silently.
Wealthy.
He was definitely wealthy. His outfit, from his suit to his watch and his shoes screamed money. And Kaia was sure that glittering stud in his right ear was real diamond.
She may not have ever grew up in a rich family, but this line of business required evaluating to know who can afford your time or not. And she'd gotten a lot of tips from her co-workers.
How to spot the poor, the fake tryhards, the new money rich and the wealthy.
This was the first wealthy person Kaia was seeing if her evaluation was right, the way he carried himself alone spoke volumes.
"Paula relayed your message and I'm here to discuss and draw some terms-"
"I just want a night with you. Nothing attached." Luca said, holding his gaze. Kaia was beginning to feel nervous, and she wasn't someone who felt nervous a lot.
"And you're willing to pay a hundred thousand dollars for a night?" Kaia asked, more because she wanted to hear that from his mouth and assure herself that this was real.
Luca leaned forward, as if to share a secret. "That was to get your attention. Like Paula may have relayed to you, a starting price."
Kaia's phone pinged and she didn't break her gaze with Luca's, her heart pounding against her chest in a mixture of arousal she was trying hard to keep in check and intrigue.
Once she took her gaze from him to check her phone, she found out the exact amount they talked about was wired to her account.
Kaia was a hundred thousand dollars richer.
"Now, you can state your price." Luca said, leaning back in his seat and taking in the priceless look on Kaia's face.
