Rainn just stared flatly when the man in front of him started to grip the collar of his jacket. He didn't feel afraid. But unfortunately, now there was a more important matter that he had to solve.
Systema ordered him to go here for some reason. There could be another murder related to the previous one and if he didn't hurry, he might be too late.
"I don't have time for this shit," Rainn mumbled. But from such a close distance, his voice could be heard clearly by man.
"What?"
Rainn prepares to activate his skill. If he has to make a fuss here, then so be it. Rainn hated bullies so much that he didn't care about anything anymore.
"Niko!"
A female voice called from a distance. Rainn and the man looked up at the same time.
There was a girl dressed all in black running towards them. Her eyes stared at Rainn with a look that was hard for him to decipher. It was as if the girl had known Rainn before. But Rainn had never seen her
"Tia, don't bother me just yet," Niko spoke in an almost growling voice.
Rainn also realized that everyone in the Mall was looking at them. Soon the Mall guards or even officers from the Federal Bureau of Royal should come and keep the commotion in check.
"Come on, I want to get home soon," said the girl.
Niko looked at her in disbelief.
"I have to settle things first with this brat!" Niko replied.
"No!" Tia shook her head while giving Niko a pleading look.
After a few minutes of staring at each other, Niko threw Rainn's body away from him. Rainn still looked back at Niko flatly while fixing the crumpled collar of his jacket.
"Don't let me see you again," Niko pointed at Rainn's face. "If I see you again, you'll be dead!"
'Let's see who will die when we meet again,' Rainn thought.
He didn't say it out loud knowing it would only make everything worse. And he has already lost precious time dealing with this punk.
What caught Rainn's attention was the gaze of the girl named Tia who looked at him as if she was afraid.
Rain frowned. He had a strange feeling about the girl.
[ Skill activated: ultimate instinct (Lv.2) ]
Then Rainn could see the girl's form changing before his eyes.
The girl's hair turned red. Likewise, his eyes turned reddish and had elongated animal pupils. The girl had long nails on both hands.
Rain's eyes widened. She was definitely a supernatural creature!
Rainn deactivated his skill. But his eyes still wide looking at the girl Tia.
Tia release what happened instantly. Rainn's expression changed as if realizing something was a bad sign for her.
She immediately took Niko's hand away from him as quickly as possible.
Rainn is still trying to grasp reality. He had just met another supernatural posing as a human in the city. What should he do now? Should he follow them or continue his investigation at this mall?
[ Quest update: Follow the Vampire ]
'What?! Vampires?!'
Rainn watched Tia and Niko leave. Tia was a Vampire. But, is Niko also a Vampire? Wasn't the Vampire race annihilated when the great war ended? Or just Rainn who didn't follow the history lesson correctly?
Anyway, Rainn started walking. He shouldn't be too suspicious when following them.
Tia and Niko walked toward the parking lot. Rainn followed from afar. They will not notice because they are busy arguing. Most likely related to Rainn.
They got into a sedan. Then leave the parking lot quickly. Rainn exhaled in frustration.
Now he won't be able to keep up. The only thing he could do now was to remember their car number plates.
[ Fourth clue discovered: plate number ]
This investigation proceeded very quickly. Rainn thought that Systema already knew who the killer was. Systema only directed him so it looks like him investigating.
But for what? Why not just point out who did it and make his life so much easier?
Rainn decides to call for Tut, 'You know what I'm thinking?'
'Yes,' Tut answered simply.
'Then answer.'
'There is no answer. You just have to do it.'
Rainn sighed, 'It feels like I'm just a slave.'
'Slave? Systema gave you the power and make you significantly stronger, though.'
Rainn then realizes that it is not a slave-master relationship. Instead, it is more like a roommate relationship.
'Anyway, I'm kinda lost on how to follow them now. What should I do?'
Tut was silent for a moment. Rainn was a little surprised because Tut usually responded quickly to whatever he asked.
But that worry didn't last long. Tut answered a few seconds later.
'Do you want to try The World Dungeon? There is nothing you can do to follow them right now.'
Rainn frowned, 'What's that?'
'The World Dungeon is a place in another dimension where you can find many things. Supernatural creatures, monsters, items, skill scrolls, etc.' Tut explained.
As soon as he heard it, Rainn's eyes widened. 'Whoa! Why did you just say that there was such a thing now?!'
'Because The World Dungeon can only be entered with your current states. Or you'll just die in there.'
'Oh, I see. Then now I'm ready. Take me there.' Said Rainn.
'Okay. I will open a portal for you. Go to a quiet place.'
'Right,' Rainn immediately walked to find a quiet place around the Mall.
But he didn't find it. In the end, Rainn had to get out and wander around for a bit. Until finally he found a suitable place. That is an alley next to the Arkan mall building.
'I'll open the portal now.'
After that Rainn suddenly felt a wind pressure from in front of him.
The wind blew away pieces of newspaper and plastic trash scattered around it. Rainn raised his hands in front of his face to block the wind that was blowing toward him.
Something like a red and black electric wave appeared in front of Rainn. The electricity came from a red and black sphere that suddenly appeared in front of him.
The red-and-black sphere also expanded into a sphere with a diameter almost equal to Rainn's height.
The red-and-black sphere looks sinister and seems dangerous. Rainn grimaced while looking at it.
'Step forward,' said Tut.
'Uhh, are you sure?'
'Yes. of course.'
Rainn feels hesitant for a moment. But he got a boost from within himself when he remembered what he could get from there. Before entering the red-and-black sphere, Rainn checked his stats window once more.

[ 9 unused skill points ]
Rainn remembered that he still hadn't used the skill points he got from leveling up twice yesterday except for the skill called Thunder Step. That skill alone is still at level 1.
Rainn uses 3 skill points for Thunder Step. Because this skill is very useful for escaping or moving quickly.
Then he uses 1 skill point for Ultimate Instinct.
Rainn still didn't dare to use another skill point to choose a new skill. Because choosing a new skill requires a long consideration. Rainn thought, he shouldn't choose a skill just because the name sounds cool.
[ Skills: Ultimate Instinct (Lv.3), Pyrokinesis (Lv.3), Thunder step (Lv.4) ]
Rainn nodded, for now, he thought that was enough. He can add skills when he knows how the conditions in the World Dungeon are.
"Okay, I'm ready."
Rainn stepped into the red-black sphere.
