Chapter 20 - Dungeon Level 1 Cleared

His stamina must have run out. He was no longer able to run. While the giant scorpion continued to advance in his direction.

But now Rainn knew its weakness. The giant scorpion was weak against lightning. So Rainn immediately added the remaining skill points to the skill he just got.

[ Skill: Lightning Bolt (Lv.4) ]

[ 2 unused skill points. ]

If only Rainn upgraded his Ultimate Instinct skill, maybe he would be able to know the element of the weakness of the monster.

Ultimate Instinct Level 3 could only make Rainn see weak points on its body and see the monster's movements faster. That's why he was still able to continue to dodge the scorpion's attacks that had not stopped at all.

[ Skill activated: Lightning Bolt (Lv.4) ]

Rainn stretched out his hand and a lightning bolt came out of his hand. He aimed it at the head of the giant scorpion. But the scorpion immediately moved its claws. As a result, the lighting bolt just hit the claw.

Rainn gritted his teeth in disappointment. But he felt a little relieved when he saw a smoking hole on the surface of the giant scorpion's claws.

The attack was successful.

But Rainn had an even bigger problem. His MP is running low. So he had to end this fight as soon as possible before his MP ran out. Otherwise, this situation could be very dire for him. Moreover, Rainn had to continuously use Ultimate Instinct to avoid the giant scorpion's attacks.

Seeing the wound on its claws made the giant scorpion even angrier. He moved his six legs even faster. The monster attacked Rainn indiscriminately, destroying the walls and floor.

Rainn could still see its attack using Ultimate Instinct, but his untrained physical condition still couldn't keep up with the attack speed. Even when he can see it coming.

As a result, the monster's claws hit his left leg. Then the giant scorpion threw Rainn until he hit the wall and floor.

"Blaghh!"

Rainn vomited blood. His back and legs hurt. When he looked down at his left leg, Rainn realized that his left leg had been torn off and nearly severed. Leaving the bones that still survive to connect his legs.

'Shit, Tut,' Rainn finally called Tut for help.

'Don't worry. Your leg will heal and return to normal. With Systema's power, your healing process will be much faster than other humans' replied Tut.

'What if I die?' asked Rain.

'You will be revived again with a new body. But you'll lose half of the progress you've made,' explained Tut.

'Half progress? Shit!' The price was too high to pay. Especially if Rainn is already at a fairly high level.

Did he have to give himself up to die now and get revived with half of his progress lost? Or keep fighting with all his might? Although in this situation, his might maybe not be much.

But amid this desperate situation, Rainn didn't know what to do anymore.

[ MP: (12) ]

His MP only has a few points left. His whole body was in pain. The giant scorpion drew near and raised its pointed tail.

'No! I will not die here!' Rainn stared at the giant scorpion with angry eyes. Then he will use the skills as his last hope. After using these skills, Rainn didn't know how many of his MP would still be left.

[ Skill activated: Ultimate Instinct (Lv.4) ]

Rainn saw the giant scorpion lunge its tail in his direction. Since he couldn't move anymore, Rainn used a Shield to keep the tail from piercing his chest.

[ Skill activated: Shield (Lv.4) ]

Rainn stretched his one hand then a blue energy shield appeared in front of him. The tail hit the shield with blue sparks that spread out in all directions.

With Ultimate Instinct, Rainn can also see the scorpion's weak point, which is on its head. The distance that was now so close made Rainn able to see the monster's head clearly.

[ Skill activated: Lightning Bolt (Lv.4) ]

Rainn used his one free hand to throw the Lightning Bolt at the scorpion's head. Rainn used up all of his remaining MP.

The elongated blue lightning energy pierced the giant scorpion's head. A black liquid oozed out and sprayed onto Rainn's face.

No deafening screams came out, the giant scorpion fell helplessly in front of Rainn with smoke billowing from the hole in its burned head.

Rainn breathed heavily. He remained in that position for quite a long time. But he didn't know how much time had passed because he was more busy processing the situation.

"Tut," called Rainn.

'Yes?' said Tut.

"How do I get out of here?"

'You can go out through the door where the scorpion came out,' replied Tut.

Rainn glanced languidly at the door. The distance is still about ten meters from his place.

Rainn cursed. But then, he crawled to the door.

[ Congratulations! You have defeated Dungeon Level 1 Boss, The Giant Black Scorpion. ]

Rainn saw the message as he continued to crawl. He felt that the door was so far away from his reach.

[ Reward for completing The World Dungeon for the first time is sent to the inventory. ]

[ Reward: 1 Skill Scroll, Elemental Gem Shortbow (rare), Scorpion Armor (Uncommon), 1 vial of The Giant Scorpion's Blood (Common). ]

The message appears one after another in Rainn's vision. However, he couldn't feel happy because he was suffering. The wounds on his legs and body hurt so badly that Rainn felt like he might pass out at any moment as he also crawled towards the door.

'A lie more,' Rainn thought as he continued to crawl.

[ Reward: 250 Exp ]

[ Exp: 65/200 ]

[ Congratulations! You leveled up! (2 levels) ]

[ You got 12 skill points ]

'250 experience?' Rainn asked inside his head.

'Yes. All experience from the monsters you have faced since entering the Dungeon will accumulate once you defeat the Dungeon Boss.' Tut's words answered the question of why he was able to gain so much Exp.

Rainn kept crawling. Until finally after a few painful minutes, Rainn finally arrived at the door. He pushed it hard. Behind that door was endless darkness.

"Do I have to go into the dark to get out of here?" Rain asked.

'Do you want to continue to Level 2 or exit the World Dungeon?'

"I think the answer is obvious. I want to get out of here," Rainn replied in a weakened voice.

'Then keep moving forward.' Hearing the answer from Tut Rainn continued to crawl into the darkness in front of him.

A moment later Rainn was out and back in his place. In the real world, the day has entered twilight.

The thing that worried Rainn was the wounds that had not healed. Especially now that he was in the middle of a deserted alley.

Rainn felt his consciousness was starting to fade. He must have lost a lot of blood. If he dies, his progress will be lost by half. All the previously hard work will just disappear.

"Hei! Are you okay?!"

Suddenly, someone's voice was heard. Rainn looked up and saw someone in a white cloak running towards him.

But his vision was too blurry to know who it was. When the person in the white cloak arrived, Rainn lost consciousness.
