Chapter 5 - The magical entry into the Oscar academy

Everyone stood close-mouthed, the stagnant breezes ravaging their faces as everyone lingered in tension about what would happen.

The Dean is here, he's the sole one who could assert openly the fate of the human girl.

"I can explain," Princeton cracks the silence and all eyes curled toward him.

"You don't have to," Dean Macdonald said for the first he had arrived, his voice reverberating thick and gruffly.

His eyes never left Sapphire's, and Princeton knew he was magically skimming her mind but Sapphire didn't have a glint about it.

"She's human, she should leave the academy premises on my mercy. Lady Daphne see her out," Dean Macdonald decreed.

"Yes, dean Macdonald!" The young woman replied, and she bowed at him.

"Hold on, ain't we gonna wipe her memory as traditional? What if she fishes us out to the world out there," The older man said warily, his hands bridging across his manly chest.

"She won't, I have analyzed her soul," Dean Macdonald divulged.

Naomi smirked, she stylishly leaned closer to Sapphire who stood beside her. "I told you before, right? You will never be tolerated to stay in here,"

Sapphire scoffed as she curved her head at her, her expression held a mischievous smile as she whispers back to Naomi. "Not like I wanna stay here, fish. In fact, I'd rather stand in the scorching sun all-day than dwell in this place,"

Naomi glowered at her words as she looked away in resentment, she just can't wait for the human to be kicked out already.

"She won't leave!" Princeton firmly disputed, and Naomi groaned in annoyance.

His opposition induced quite a stir as everyone could be seen murmuring and whispering, Sapphire shot him an incoherent glimpse.

"I don't wanna stay here, don't you get it?" She sullen at him but he gave her no glance.

"I'm doing it for your good, I knew you were in danger last night and that's why you found your path in the dark woods," he muttered to her, as he turned to stare at her beautiful jungle green eyes.

"Whatever, it shouldn't be a concern to you. It's my headache anyway and not yours. I own my existence and I have a say over it and not you!" She half-growled.

She was exceptionally infuriated and needed to let him know her grievance, she was once manipulated by the ones who were meant to love her, and that has made her become a vulnerable loner and now, she won't let that happen to her ever again.

"I don't care, you are staying, and that's final," Princeton affirmed.

His words resonated possessively, and Sapphire began to see him as the loggerhead he prevail to be too.

Why would he sound so dominating over her as he knew her before? And how he spoke so firmly as if he owned her baffled her a lot.

"Princeton, you are a significant student here and an alpha but that doesn't mean you have a say over the ancient law shielding the academy," The older man said.

"Master Morton, I'm withholding my words and not backing out of it. She may be a human but she will stay in here with us," Princeton stated as a matter of fact.

"Lady Daphne, you know what to do," Dean Macdonald asseverates after a few moments of gawking at the disruption blathering in front of him.

He spun to leave, and the students bowed as they watched him depart from the sight.

Princeton paced to Lady Daphne and leaned forward to her. "Don't let her go, I'd be right back!"

He lowly murmured to her face and then, he jogged towards the exact direction Dean Macdonald put up with.

"What's wrong with that kid?" Lady Daphne snapped incredulously as she watched him run like a hare.

"He's an alpha, what do you expect?" Master Morton conveyed an enigmatic smile.

"But he's still behaving like a pup," she told.

Momentarily, the crowds began to disperse into the various paths —Naomi's two best friends jostled toward her, and shortly, Naomi left the spot with her comrades right after she had hauled a sneering scoff at Sapphire.

Sapphire signed mindlessly, she continuously stared across the spectacular golden academy as if she has never seen anything like it before. Everything here appears extensively sophisticated and delicate.

"Ma'am Sapphire?!"

A startling gasp erupted, prompting Sapphire to snap her head to the west viewpoint and she beheld the caller —Henrietta!

"Henrietta?!" She gasped unbelievably, and her eyes dilated in shock.

It was as if she's beheld a ghost for the first time, Sapphire was finding it difficult to believe she was the one when she caught her sight.

In a flash, they both sprinted toward each other and were engulfed in a tight hug.

"I can't believe it is you, I c-can't believe it, Henrietta. What are you doing here?!" Sapphire solicited curiously, her eyelashes bashing at her.

"That witch knows the human?" Lady Macbeth asked rhetorically as she gawked at the two girls.

"Weird isn't it? Perhaps, they ran into each other when she journeyed to the otherworld," Master Morton conjectured with an insignificant shrug.

"This is my home," Henrietta giggled, she was incredibly joyous to see Sapphire at that moment.

"Home?" Sapphire asked mystifyingly.

"Yes, home. All the supernatural acknowledges the oscar's academy as their home which was only right because we are the descendants," Henrietta explained.

"Okay, this is complicating, are you a supernatural?"

"Yes!"

"What?! How come I never knew?"

"You never asked," Henrietta wavered her has sideways.

"Woah! And how will I know? I never noticed you are unnatural, and I don't even know magic existed either," Sapphire said.

"But now you know. Don't worry, I will explain a lot to you. Come on, let's go to my habitat," Henrietta beckons, she attempts to drag her along with her. However, Sapphire drawled back.

"No, I don't belong here, Henrietta," Sapphire said, nervously nipping her bottom lip.

"And why will you say such? You belong here Sapphire and this is where you fit in," Henrietta utters.

"I have to leave, I don't wanna stay here. And besides, even if I want to, the school dean kicked me out already," Sapphire elucidated as she straightened up.

"Kicked you out?! Dean Macdonald?" Henrietta gaped, her eyes bulging as she spoke.

Sapphire nods briefly in a form of response to her words, she signed deeply as she lowered her eyes to the rough grounds.

"No! It can't be, you don't have to leave the academy. You have to stay!" Henrietta expressed frantically.

Promptly, she positioned her hands on Sapphire's shoulders who lifted her eyelashes to her. Henrietta leaned her head closer to her face.

"You have to stay here, do not leave, okay? I'd be right back," she instructed and then, she jogged away before Sapphire could thwart her.

"Henrietta!"

The dean's office comes across to be richly grand and somewhat distinguished with a blend of gold and silver complexions on the walls.

A catalog of bookshelves neatly jammed with ancient books could be seen, and an expensive-looking chandelier at the elevated void ceiling illuminated the spacious scenery with its golden glimmers.

Dean MacDonald crouched on his swiveling black coated chair, his left leg crossed over the other and his right elbow rested on the handle.

His eyes narrowed at Princeton like a predator surveying its victim, he strangely let out a chuckle as he motioned him to seat at the swiveling chair opposite his.

"I will stand, Dean Macdonald," Princeton muttered.

"Fine, if that suits you," Dean Macdonald nods briefly.

"I will likely to say something to you," Princeton told on as he kept on his concrete face.

"Then speak your peace," Dean Macdonald makes a signal with his hand.

"You can't let the human girl go," Princeton said, his eyelashes hugged together.

"I wish I can let her in, but you know the academy law,"

"But it is your academy, you can change the law if needed,"

"I know but still... I wouldn't want to set an awful example for myself because of a mere human. Lawmakers don't bite on their words back because the law is affecting erroneously,"

"Thank goodness you said erroneously, why don't you break down that erroneous law into a better way, huh?" he said and Dean Macdonald sighed.

"Dean Macdonald..." Princeton called, he leans his sturdy hands on the black texture of the table in front of him.

"That girl, that human... I feel a kind of unusual connection with her, I don't know what it is but..."

"She's your mate?" Dean Macdonald asked almost immediately, he arched a brow at him.

"I don't know, I can't tell either," Princeton replied, lowly. He carefully shook his head afterward as he lowered his gaze.

Dean Macdonald inhaled and exhale, he consciously drove his eyes around his office as if exploring for something imperceptible for the eye to behold.

"I can sense your strong cologne, witch. Come in already," he ordered and the knob rattled outside the door.

The door opens after a few seconds and Henrietta paces inside, she stood gallantry beside Princeton, and then, she bows.

"I know why you're here, I'm just inquisitive as to why both of my noteworthy students seem concerned by that human girl," Dean Macdonald said, clamping his palms as he gently massaged his knuckles.

"I know Sapphire more than anyone else, please don't let her leave the academy. It would be a great loss to us," she said.

"You know Sapphire?" Princeton quickly asked Henrietta, he comes out to be incredibly surprised to hear Sapphire's name from the witch.

"Yes I do, she's Sapphire Liam Armstrong, eldest..."

"Did you say... Liam Armstrong?!" Dean Macdonald gasped, his thick voice vibrating throbbingly as he stood from his swivel chair.

Princeton and Henrietta gazed confusingly at each other, they were baffled as to why he sounded as if he's heard a formidable name.

Shakily, Dean Macdonald suddenly fell over his chair overwhelmingly. His manly hand gripping his hair violently, as he was breathing heavily.

"Dean Macdonald!!" Princeton and Henrietta called alarmingly in unison.
