Chapter 8 - THE UNUSUAL

In a flicker, the whole class had spiraled into an uproar, and disorderly voices shrieked in buzzers as everyone scampered out of the class.

"A descendant is dead? That's unusual and...Weird," Evergreen griped to the girls as they hurried alongside the other students towards the cafeteria.

"And why do I feel like Naomi could be the unfortunate victim this time. Oh, goodness! I truly wish so," Henrietta hoped.

"Naomi?" Sapphire arched her brows at her.

"Hold on a second, why do I have this strange feeling that you knew a hint about this tragic occurrence, Henrietta?" Evergreen muttered, her brows knitting as they enhanced their paces.

"Huh? Me?! No, not at all. I don't know anything about it, I swear!" Henrietta coughed nervously, tucking her hair behind her ear as they finally joined the populace of students in the cafeteria.

"F*ck!" Sapphire gasp disgustingly at the horrendous spectacle of the dead female student, who spread ghostly on the floor in the pool of her blood.

"Geez, this is so disgusting," Henrietta repulsively groaned.

Hushing whispers and sickening murmuring could be heard among the students, while Master Morton step into the cafeteria. He moved closer and crouched beside the dead student, as he seeks to inspect the lifeless body.

"Hell! what could have killed her?"Peter asks rhetorically.

He scrunched his snout in nausea and Sapphire glanced instantly at him, she let out a scoff.

"Pot calling kettle black," she inwardly uttered. "Who knows, he might be the killer," she speculated.

"No one can tell, and it's not outlawed," Tremblay said out through a deep sigh.

"Could it be a serial killer or something?" Evergreen pondered and all eyes snapped at her.

"What?!' She asked startlingly.

"Mind your words, sister!" Princeton cautioned, his hands tucked inside his pocket pant and Evergreen slapped her lips.

Princeton bestow a glimpse at Sapphire, and he silently chuckled on discerning how extremely frightening she appeared—he immediately sobber up before anyone would notice his face.

"Annabelle!" A redhead screamed shockingly the very moment she raced into the cafeteria.

"Do you know her?" Henrietta asked and the redhead began to weep profusely.

"Yes, she's my roomie and also a newbie in the academy. She's a shapeshifter and also a water fairy." The redhead told.

"Oh!" A few students mouthed, peeking at one another at the redhead statements.

"Annabelle complained about how extremely hungry she was, and we both came here to the cafeteria to get some grubs. But then, I left a few minutes ago with my beta mate who came to see me, and now I'm back, I'm beholding this!" The redhead explained, sobbing endlessly as a few girls moved closer to console her.

"This is bad," Sapphire muttered, her eyes darkening.

"...and touching," Evergreen added, sadly.

"I KNOW WHO DID THIS!" A feminine voice raucously declared, and everyone rubberneck to stare at Naomi.

She beamed, sauntering bitchily towards them while her friends smiled maliciously behind her.

"What do you mean?" Tremblay asked her, while Naomi got to Princeton's standpoint who held an expressionless face at her.

"Yes, I knew who it was. I mean...The killer," she whispered sweetly at Princeton while tugging her lip into a sly smirk.

"W-who is it?" Master Morton shuttered, his eyes lashes fluttering curiously up at her.

"Well, Master Morton, it was the human girl!" Naomi growled, her index finger pointing at Sapphire.

Hence, all eyes broadened shockingly at her sole divulge which was accompanied by an unruly gasp.

"What?!" Sapphire gasped, astonishingly at her declaration.

"Are you crazy?" Henrietta lashed at Naomi.

"Stay out of this Henrietta or I will electrocute you with my powers!" Naomi snapped back warningly at her and Master Morton sighed shakily.

"Keep shut, Naomi. Everyone is a suspect here," Peter told.

"I will love to tell you this, Naomi. Take your words back!" Evergreen snarled as she made to attack her. However, Peter quickly grabbed her back.

Princeton sighed, he gently ruffled his hair as he merely stayed silent while watching the scenario in front of him.

Henrietta glanced at Peter, her eyes trailing down to his manly hands which were strongly wrapped around Evergreen, and Instantly, she wished she was the one he had gripped protectively like that.

"Okay, that's enough!! All the students will have to go back to their dorms, and please don't panic. I will report to Dean Macdonald and we will unravel this terrifying situation as soon as possible," Master Morton asserted and the students began to murmur as they recede to their rooms.

"I'm outta here!" Sapphire grumbled as she turned to leave, storming back to her dorm, and her friends quickly fled towards her.

"How could you stoop so low?" Princeton suddenly asked Naomi as he swivels to her whose face instantly flushed in embarrassment.

"What do you mean?" She nervously soliciated.

"How could you fabricate such a lie?" Princeton demanded in reply.

"Because I hate her!" She blatantly yelled, frowning hugely as she stomped her feet twice on the floor.

"You are dumb!" Tremblay cussed and she glared over at him.

Princeton ruffled his hair again frustratingly as he left the spot, and his friends promptly followed behind him.

"Seriously, buddy. I truly can't believe Princeton took sides with the human girl," Charlotte muttered, nastily.

"I'm dumbfounded too," Selena confessed forthwith. "Or could the alpha be falling in love with her?" She added.

"Never!" Naomi growled, she twirls to face her friends with tightened fists.

"Princeton can never fall in love with such a weakling like her, she's a mere human. You are simply speculating nonsense, Selena." She hissed.

"I wish," Selena chuckled, and Naomie rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, she smirked as she seethed out of the cafeteria.

"I know that smirk, pure evil," Selena said with a grin, referring to Naomi who had just left.

"Hm, and why do I feel like the human girl isn't just an ordinary being?" Charlotte said, fluttering her dark green hair.

Selena abruptly frowned at the words as she asked. "What do you mean?"

"I don't know," Charlotte shrugged. "Although I previously tried reading her mind. However, I couldn't and that has never happened before with anyone except Princeton." She elucidated.

"What?" Selena widened her eyes, curiosity flashing through her countenance as she took a step further. "Are you saying the human girl is supernatural? Or more like a descendant?" She asked with a tilted head.

"I don't know, Selena. I'm merely a witch, and not a soothsayer," Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"But witches can know about anything they wish to know," Selena posted.

"Only the most powerful witches can foresee the future or know whatever they wish to know, Selena," Master Morton groaned.

He has been lurking behind and listening to their conversion without their notice, instantaneously the girls cringed when they heard his croaking voice.

"M-master Morton!" Charlotte sharply called, her green hair glowing colorfully before chilling out in relaxation.

"I can see you are having problems with the human girl, huh?" He mischievously grinned.

"No, no, not at all, Master Morton," Selena trembled at her words as she quickly dragged Charlotte and they both fled out of the cafeteria.

Hence, Master Morton awaits Lady Daphne and Dean Macdonald. He crossed his hands behind his back, watching the girls leave the spot as he drew his eyes towards the sunny sky.

"Hmm, why I'm I breathing in this dark deadly aura around the academy, huh? I can sense an eerie danger coming and it's gonna be extremely, dreadful," he murmured, icily.
