"You are not as innocent as I thought you were," he laughed at the crazy assumption that led to him missing out on such a feast.
"Innocent? I never said I was that" she replied.
"Aren't you scared? The prince might kill you for calling him a monster that could lead to his death?" he asked as he found her very daring.
"No, I am not scared, why would I be?" she asked. "I think you believe me now. But I must say that it is a secret you will have to guide with your life when you get to the capital."
"How about going to the capital with me?" he asked.
"You are not serious, right?"
"I am serious. Your brother had to deal with discovering that about him and I think you will know more about it than I do," he replied.
"My brother got caught before he had the chance to know what he was. If you knew, there was no way he would have gone out when a hunter was in the town," she replied solemnly.
"How would you know a hunter?" he asked. If he came across a hunter, there was no way he would be able to avoid them.
"They are wizards tasked by the royal family to hunt down all the were-men and monsters in the kingdom. People are evolving as the mark black magic left would never get wiped out completely so they find those evolving before they grow stronger.
"How do monsters evolve from humans?" That sounded absurd. They said apes evolved into humans but this time, it was reversed.
"It could be that they have always had it but it laid dormant in them or they got exposed to a residue of black magic. They begin to change. Some could change totally in a split second and will never get the chance to be human again.
"Were-beasts never get the chance to be human again. In my brother's case, he was turned into his monster form by the hunters before getting executed. You can change and yet return to your original form.
"That is a unique ability many that have died wished they had. They would have hidden away among humans and run away from hunters when they see one. I don't think you will have any problem until you get to the capital.
"Hunters work for the royal family as they were trained to but there are many wizards and witches with the ability to sense a monster. When you get to live among them, it will be difficult to hide."
Liam smiled and shook his head. "No, it won't. I will kill anyone who discovers," he announced.
She pulled away from him and their hands parted. "You are not serious, right?"
"I am serious but I know you won't tell on me since your brother died that same way. Or at least, for now, you will try to save your neck," he answered sincerely. "What is the sister of a monster? She is a monster too.
"If your brother turned, perhaps you could turn too. Perhaps, yours is lying low and the presence of a hunter could mean the death of you. I am sure you are scared that you might get caught which is why you moved into the forest."
She shook her head and continued walking with her head bowed solemnly.
He caught up to her and held her hand. "So, do you want to go to the capital with me?"
"I will think about that later but for now, do you want to see the inn I got to stay in?"
He smiled and nodded following the way as she led the way through the crowd in the night market. Who would not want to see the room of such a beautiful lady?
A world once dominated by technology was forced to go a few centuries backward as magic dominated the lands that could be saved but Liam was a prince unlucky to be void of the magic that sustains this world.
He was made even unluckier by being one of those monsters hunted by the royal family he was supposed to be a part of. At this point, he had no idea what he would encounter but first things first. He was finally going to have some fun. It has been a while and it felt like forever.

The young lady paused at the door of her room and looked at him. Liam could feel a raging molten magma in his heart as he felt like she wanted to give up.
He looked around at the women who kept sending him flirtatious gazes and made up his mind to follow them into their room if she gives up. He was already on his mark and set to go.
She swallowed and took in a deep breath. "My name is Alessia," she suddenly said avoiding his gaze as he tried to find the rejection in them so he could leave.
She pushed the door open and pulled him into the room.
With the door closed, Liam pulled her to his body and raised his hand to her pink soft inviting lips. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers.
They were even warmer and softer than he expected and she did not hesitate to give him access to that warm wetness. He had to give her a thumbs up for her kissing skill.
She was the girl he was scared to touch yet she seemed to be a boss in this aspect as she did not hesitate to touch his body.
She moaned as he kissed her so hard she could feel his needs and desire with every stroke his tongue made in her mouth. She moaned loudly when he nibbled on her lower lips.
"You are so sexy," he commented as he took a step back when she pulled off her single-piece gown. He looked at her bosom she looked just as sexy as they looked that night with water on their fullness.
He swallowed as the temperature increased. He cocked his eyebrows and met her gaze daringly as he pulled off his shirt. She looked away shyly when he met her gaze.
She smiled, not shyly this time but as an announcement that she accepted his dare and she was going to prove herself to him.
He chuckled when she pushed him onto the bed and he had to thank his luck that the bed was soft. She knelt over his waist and rubbed against the bulge in his pants before leaning forward against his chest to kiss him.
Their pants filled the room as she let her hands slide over his toned abdomen. They sailed up unrestrained before gliding down to his waist.
