She was an ally although he did not trust her he did not mind making sure she could get to the capital which he hoped will be more welcoming rather than letting a beautiful woman like her remain in the woods.
Knock knock!
Liam pulled away lazily and walked to the door after dressing up under her heated gaze. She smiled when he met her gaze as he tried to inquire who the person at the door was.
He winked at her before opening the door and walking out. "Have my breakfast ready, I will be at the inn soon," Liam ordered the knight who had found him last night around midnight and Liam told him to return in the morning.
He went back to the sleeping woman on the bed. She snuggled into his embrace. He had looked at her face before shaking his head.
He returned to that same woman but this time, she was awake. It was time to leave and she looked like she was aware.
"I must return to the inn. I hope we will meet in the next town."
"I am coming with you to the capital but I cannot travel with you, right?" she asked softly with a slight pout. "You have changed," she murmured under her breath her anger hidden behind a smile.
He nodded before waving and leaving immediately. He looked at the closed door wondering what was in her mind when she said that.
"You will give me an answer when next we meet," he told her firmly before leaving in a hurry.
She swallowed and sighed in relief when she got away with telling the prince those words. She hoped to use his expressions to slowly pick out each piece of the puzzle and place them right.

"You must have had a wonderful night, your highness," his knight commented subtly as though he did not want Liam to hear.
"Oh, that?" Liam asked smiling as he turned to look at the young knight who he estimated to be probably in his late twenties.
"You did," the knight said as he mounted his horse.
Liam narrowed his eyes, was that jealousy or anger in his knight voice? This was the first time he heard him speaking that way. "You should find a woman in the next town. It is not good for a man to be alone," Liam advised his guard as he mounted his horse.
He did not hesitate to use the opportunity to tease the man who seemed to be taking every single opportunity to tease him.
"I . . . I am married," Liam heard the man murmur just before he rode off like the wind, no more like he was trying to get away from Liam.
Liam did not hesitate to follow the man. At this point, he felt he would have become the best polo player with the intensity he has experienced during the past weeks.
He had gotten used to their method of transportation but he wondered how many more things he will have to get used to in this world.
"Is your woman that strong angry woman who is strict?" Liam asked as he approached the man. He had to shout and he wanted to ask him, 'Is she one of those wives we only see in anime?' but he certainly must not say mention anything he was yet to see in this world.
They don't even have phones or computers. He wondered where they threw them all because he was certain they had technology in the past. With his estimate . . . wait no more estimate.
"What year are we in?" he asked the guard when he was close enough that he did not need to shout.
"We are in the year 2850 and you got married in the year 2848," the guard replied Liam almost choked on what he was not eating.
He wore a constipated look as he gripped the reins of his horse tightly until it felt like it would crumble in his grip. So, was he the one with the anime type of wife? This does not feel right.
NO!!!
"Your wife is the daughter of the head of the school of wizardry, he trains the future leaders," the knight added fuel to the fire burning in his heart.
Why did he feel that sudden pain in his heart? Was that guilt? He was not ready to feel like a cheating husband. This whole thing sucks.
He slowed down as he could not ease the feeling of weakness, he felt in the knees even when he was riding a horse. Who is that witch that tired a hot-blooded twenty-year-old with a woman?
"What is my wife like? Is she beautiful?" he asked as he wanted to know how bad it would be. If she was not pretty then it will be harder.
"I have no right to speak of the appearance of your wife," the guard replied in a manner Liam found boring. He wanted to know for goodness' sake.
He could only groan and look up at the morning sun. He wore a distorted expression as the sun felt too bright for his eyes. He groaned again when he remembered the beautiful woman who let him devour her last night.
She was mysterious yet he had a strong feeling that she was not an enemy. He wondered why she seduced him even when she knew he was married because he was certain that she knew for some reason.
It took a lot for him to finally relax and when he did, he still felt that strong desire never to return to the palace. Could he fake his death? You would not be able to fake a death without a body, right?
It sucks so much. ARGH!
"You are a devil. You should have told me right from the beginning. You should have told me when I asked you to get me a girl. I told you I lost my memory, for goodness' sake."
"Please accept my sincere apology, highness," that sounded everything different from what he said. Sincere?
That was pure falsehood. He sounded like he was now enjoying the show everything different from his earlier jealousy.
"I must be allowed to have a second wife or a mistress, right?"
Even if this was the future, it was as good as the past so he felt he should be allowed to have another woman, well that if he was a prince in an Asian kingdom. These words were his sincere prayer requests.
