Chapter 32 - Gone away!

" I have made the correct choice, angel. Don't stress me too much now." Sophia muttered confidently as she boasted herself off. While introspecting her thoughts, her fists thumped on her thighs, leaving a joyous expression on her face. To her ignorance, a shadow appeared from nowhere beside her.

" What are you doing." Someone whispered audibly at a distance from her body, making her body jump to her seat. Her face turned back and revealed a shocking expression. The door to her left was opened wide, and Frank was peeking through it, his body bent low with crossed arms. Sophia deliberately positioned herself straight on the seat, caressing her hair with her palms.

" Lady, with whom were you talking?" Joe asked sarcastically moving his gazes to every corner, inside that car. " With no one." Blushed Sophia. " Oh, so you were getting bored, that's why you started chatting with the air." Saying so, Frank pushed himself to the seat of the car, crouching casually. " Now we are seated. We will leave this place immediately." Frank snapped his finger, alarming the two bodyguards to settle inside the car and drive it.

Slowly, with the wink of an eye, Sophia saw them drive off that area. Sophia tilted her body to her left and continued to gaze through the windows, at the beautiful scenery of the mountains as she leaned her opened palms against the car window. " Now Sophia, tell me your story." Joe leaned against Sophia, whispering calmly to her ear.

" Okay." smiled Sophia, straightening her spine. " I know you have questions about how I reached here, how I happened to be in that palace and how I managed to be away from my home for so long. I will explain it in a sequence." Sophia grabbed a bisleri bottle from the holder, gulping large sips of water. From her manners, Frank could easily make out how lengthy and breathtaking her incident was, demanding energy for her chat box to explain to her beloved.

She tightened the bottle lead and placed it back on the holder. She began with her story sincerely" You know about me already and about my family too. When you dropped me at college, I was still standing outside, waiting for my cousins. My cousins figured out that something was wrong. They were so clever that they discovered that I was not at college and was out for a fete.

They told my aunt about this. At first, I thought that I would be beaten or reprimanded. But all of a sudden, my aunt turned nice toward me and allowed me to go on a trip with my cousins.

I didn't know it was a plot to wipe me off. My cousins forced me to enter the palace alone so that they can leave the place and make me suffer. they had thrown my pendant over the palace.

I entered the palace, searching for it. I found Edward and so was I there for three days. " Saying so Sophia sniffed.

" Don't cry, dear. Forget the past when you have a promising present. Live your present to the fullest." Saying so, he clasped hands Sophia's hands and lifted them over the seat. Then placing it downwards, he grinned at Sophia.

Suddenly, they heard the barking of a stray dog. Sophia leaned her head against the window and found a dog, with ribs visible through his skin. Every one of its bodily features was raven black, except its paws coated with white snow. It threw an unwinking innocent look at Sophia, making her heart warm up.

Her orbs shifted to Frank who was checking his smartphone. " Frank," Sophia pronounced gently. " What, dear?" He switched his gaze to Sophia, while still keeping his head glued to the phone. " Can we feed this dog? It's starving." She spoke in an emotional tone and with low intensity, pointing at a stray dog.

Frank peeked through the window. He was looking at a stray dog whose fur was half-covered with snow. His bulging eyes were pitiful and pain-stricken. His tongue was jutting out and he was breathing rapidly.

Frank turned his countenance to a snarled expression and tilted it away. " No Sophia, we won't feed him." He spoke in a neutral assertive tone. As he lifted his orbs at his milady's face, he noticed her tear-filled eyes. She was shivering with clasped hands. She was about to let out a sob when Frank covered her lips with his palms.

" Dear, you. Okay, we will feed him, but no more than just two pieces of bread or he will follow us throughout the journey. " Frank spoke in a gentle tone, consoling his innocent sweetheart. He knew her heart melts looking at a miserable creature. She would go off track and do something to make others happy.

In such a situation, Frank had no choice but to submit to Sophia's choice. He dropped two bread pieces from the open window and the dog, without looking up, would munch as fastly as he could to feed his empty stomach. The dog wiped its muzzle, scratched his back and paced slowly to throw an innocent charm on Sophia. " Aww, so cute. Isn't he, Frank?"

Frank crossed his arms in a stressed manner and said," No, it wasn't. But we will indeed get late if we waste our time feeding stray dogs. Let's go." Pronouncing it so loudly that both the fellows jerked in their seats. They knew their master's aggressive nature and habit of firing employees, with the snap of a finger.

While they were driving past several buildings and shops, Sophia's stomach growled, making her cheeks flush. Immediately she bent low and wrapped her arms around her belly. " What's happening to you, lady?" Frank tilted his face, his brows creased as he sensed her unusual behaviour.

Suddenly her stomach growled the second time. It was louder than the previous one, and so Frank heard it too. " Oh, so you are hungry. You should have told me, dear. We will stop at a departmental store and my guards will shop for food. Now it's okay." Frank spoke in a light quick tone with variable rhythm.

" Master, there's a store on the left. Should we stop there?" One of the guards turned his neck to wait for Frank's response.
