"No, we will not step down, or otherwise, the deal is gone, and everyone here dies."
"...We cannot do that. We can't prepare-"
"You are gonna see hell." A male voice interrupted Eirene Queen, and with that, the radio call ended abruptly.
The detective sitting on the chair in the control tower removed his headphones and shook his head. People around him, including other police officers, airport workers, higher-up firefighters, and reporters, sighed.
Just outside the tower were a group of firefighters, a SWAT team and two ambulances for the people who got injured by the stray bullet shot by the cabin attendant before the takeoff.
After a short silence, two airport workers approached the detective, who tried to make a negotiation.
One of the women with her blonde hair in a bun asked, "Was that conversation recorded?"
The fifty-year-old detective answered, "Yes."
Then the other woman with long brown hair tied at the back of her head. "By any chance, can we have a listen?"
Wordlessly, the detective nodded and signalled his subordinate to repeat the conversation. This time, everyone could clearly hear what the millions-worth actress was speaking on behalf of the hijackers.
"Did you find anything?" Asked the detective to the two women, who seemed deep in thought after listening to the whole conversation. He nor the others knew what the women were thinking but hoped that it was to help them.
The blonde tilted her head once more before she asked, "Can I listen again?"
"Sure."
"But only the last parts." Added the brunette.
With a frown, the detective replayed it, not only once but thrice.
"Thank you..." Although the blonde said that, she did not seem happy with what she and her friend had confirmed.
The detective asked once again, "Is there something you might want to share with us? We could really use your help."
The two women looked at each other anxiously before the brunette decided to speak. "I have only worked here for just over six months, but I'm confident in what I heard. The first pilot I have ever talked to after getting this job was captain Benjamin Puccino. He comforted me, and I'll never forget his voice..." She paused before she took a big breath. "That voice is his, captain Benjamin Puccino's."
----
"Useless piece of sh*t!"
Eirene was struck on the head by the female hijacker as soon as the call ended when she was unable to make the deal.
The actress wanted to grunt and protect her head, but her hands were at the back, and the piece of clothing was already stuffed back into her mouth right after, as if she could scream and somehow make them arrested by talking.
Eirene was then thrown onto the ground by the cabin attendant. Her face was just metres away from another shot person who was barely breathing. From the clothing, she knew he had to be the second pilot.
Blood was slowly staining his crustless shirt from the right shoulder, left side of the stomach, and the middle of the right thigh, which darkened the already navy blue pair of trousers.
With her hands and legs bound, she wiggled and got close to the young pilot. She checked his pulse, and once she confirmed that it was just slightly weaker, she shifted her attention towards the hijacker couple.
The pilot, now identified as Benjamin, irritatedly puffed out cigarette smoke behind the yoke. The b*tch, Karen, hurried and inhaled as if not to miss a single molecule of flavoured cancer, and she, too, smoked out, satisfied.
"SH*T!" The man cursed. The action caused the ashes to fall on his shirt, distracting him momentarily.
Both of the couple's attention was on the ash. And knowingly, the ash was very stubborn and ignited a little fire on the shirt.
"Ahh, Sh*t!" Benjamin cursed again. After one more look at the cloudy sky, he fully shifted his focus on his shirt along with his lover.
As expected, the plane's balance shifted. It began swinging to the left.
Because she was not kept in place, the actress rolled and hit her head once more. But the pain did not take over her as soon the scene outside the window distracted her.
"MMM!! MHMMM!" Eirene did her best to warn the two hijackers, but they did not even spare a glance at her.
The object was approaching the aeroplane like a bullet. There was no time to spare or to come up with a better solution. So she prepared herself and did what was considered suicide.
With a thud and a scream, the cabin attendant fell ungracefully. "UH!" But before Karen could beat the crap out of the actress for kicking her leg, Eirene desperately gestured to the window.
Karen faced the direction and sprung up, "BEN! BEN!"
"HUH?!" The pilot finally brought his eyes back into the sky. And when he spotted the incoming fighter jet, he immediately pulled the yoke and shifted it to the right. "He!"
Silence and muffled screams from the passengers behind the door filled the cockpit, engulfed in silence.
Benjamin shouted after a moment, "I TOLD YOU TO LOOK OUT THE WINDSCREEEN!"
Karen retorted, "You told me to leave it to you! What the heck!" Her reply made her lover simply shut up with frustration.
The cabin attendant took a deep breath after delivering the line but seemed to remember what Eirene did to her precious ankle in a matter of seconds.
Without hesitation, she took a step towards the actress and kicked the exposed and unprotected parts of her body using the foe box and the heel of the shoes. The face, neck, stomach, breasts, leg... Counting up to ten times.
Just like before, Eirene hid her pain behind a mask. Even if she couldn't protect her body using arms or legs, she could at least control her facial expression.
The last and the harshest kick landed on Eirene's pelvic area. But for this one, she couldn't help but coupe up the pain with a slow blink.
The female hijackers breathing was heavy. "Serves you right! You little piece of sh*t! You're lucky you're in the cockpit or otherwise, I would have strangled you to death."
They say not to stand out or act provocatively when hijacked. But it was a little too late for the actress. From what she knew, the hijackers most probably knew she was on the plane. And from how she was kept separate from all the others, keeping her isolated was simply unnecessary and an extra job.
Karen stood up and collected her rifle, "Damn it. I'm out of bullets..." She then opened the cockpit door and exited. In replacement, the male cabin got in. From behind him, the actress heard, "Take her back. She is no use."
Wordlessly, the young man glanced at the captain and at the laying actress before he approached her and gently carried her back to where she was previously.
This time, the young man wasn't agitated and instead, treated her injuries. Of course, she was still tied up.
While on the bed, she stared at him in an attempt of getting his attention. After a while, he noticed. She moved her mouth and moved her mouth.
Initially, he was hesitant, but in the end, he trusted her and removed the cloth from her mouth.
"Ca-can I get a glass of water?" Asked Eirene in a raspy voice.
The man provided her and helped her drink it.
"Thank you."
The male cabin attendant didn't reply.
"I'm Eirene. Can I call you Issac?"
Shock was written all over his face. In fact, his hands treating the wounds halted their movement as he froze. His scared blue eyes stared into those of Eirene.
Issac finally nodded tinily after contemplating for a long time.
"Nice to meet you." She greeted, but she didn't continue further. She knew she had a long way, especially in a situation like this. And from what she'd seen and experienced, she didn't know what could flip the violence switch in the young man and cause him to rampage.
Not only her life would be in danger, but everyone on board would be harmed if not careful.
"Thank you," said Eirene when the cabin attendant finished. It didn't hurt her when he didn't reply. He was packing the kit away when she told him, "The young pilot in the cockpit... He will die if he continues to lose blood. Please treat him."
"...Mm..." Issac nodded and came back to her to stuff the clothing back into her mouth. He walked out silently after that, leaving her in the dark and cold cabin.
From the looks of it, he was most probably going o do what the actress had asked for.
Lying on her side, Eirene got into a foetus position and tried to soothe the stabbing pain in the pelvic region since her hands could do nothing. But this was only to ease the pain, and she couldn't care less about the organs inside. It wasn't as if the system was working and she could conceive a child again...
----
Eirene woke up in the dark from the dull ache in her throat from dehydration. She was about to get a glass of water, likely provided by Issac, when she realised she wasn't alone.
From the furthest place in the room, she could hear faint but steady breathing, and when her eyes gradually got used to the dark, she saw a man in white lying on the bed. She tried to gain more information on who it was when she felt a sudden pain in her head as if her skull was being pierced in multiple places.
Soon, her head was pressed against the not-so-comfortable bed as if being stepped on by an elephant. Right in front of her eyes was a rifle. Stomach-churning breath could be heard and approached her uncovered ear.
Just by breathing, she knew it was the hijacker captain of the plane.
Benjamin sniffed in the scent on her neck like a vacuum cleaner and exhaled satisfied on her neck, filling the air with the smell of his breath and nicotine.
Eirene attempted to shake him off, but his grip on her head and neck was like an iron. On top of that, he was lying on top of her.
"Finally," an abnormally deep and rusty voice said.
He then bent over her ear again and open his mouth to nib on her earlobe and the whole ear. At the same time, he ground his erect front on her bottom.
Tears began forming on the edges of Eirene's eyes. She wanted to scream. She wanted to push him and kill him there, but she had no strength.
She lost track of time when she was flipped.
Benjamin held her tied legs up, her body forming a ninety-degree angle. His hips were still against her private regions. This time, she could feel and make out the shape.
"I told you I'll show you the f*cking game."
Her clothes were torn and became rugs.
She tried and tried and tried, even after his member had entered her forcefully and blood tickled out as her insides were ripped and drilled.
Eirene screamed her heart out and fought with her soul, but the knight in shining armour was something only a princess could get.
