Before I met up with my uncle inside of my room, I suddenly remembered something.
'I totally forgot to find out more about that girl, what was her name again, Nora it was, or at least I think so. And that there are so many more things that this system can do, seeing as I'm only sixty-two Ki points away from my next level up, I should be able to spare at least five points to explore this Wild Arts Video.'
As I bought the video, five points of Ki that I had obtained through daily tasks were used to pay for the video. Which brought my required Ki Needed amounts back up to sixty-seven. Although I had already expected this result to come out of this now, I just hope I get something good out of this.
Once playing the video, I could immediately notice that there was no sound. Only me standing inside of a cave with only boxers used to cover me up, the rest of my body was bare. And I had countless scars on my back and chest.
Then I began to move in a strange pattern, right foot forward and left foot backwards. Then I would open up my hands and it looked as though I was ready to claw someone's eyes out. I then began to use the only skill that I had obtained up until this point, Lingering Fury.
Once my hands began to move rapidly, my feet would follow, one heavy kick would be unleashed along with the skill, and even sometimes the me inside of the video would bite at the air. The video then transitioned to me in the cave surrounded by men, or rather mercenaries, they had the appearance of them at least.
Dressed in black clothes, carrying around daggers, and keeping their faces low. Me number two would, rather than fight them one at a time, like I had done to the Golden members from before, he fought them all at once.
Using the movements he had shown me from before, he was able to make quick work of the men and would even eat at their body while during the fight, he fought like a true beast, whereas my style right now could be considered more orthodox where his is unorthodox.
If I was forced to say which one was cooler and more efficient rather than sloppy but trying to be precise, then I would say his is coller where mine's currently is the latter. However, with this video, I should be able to fight just like him.
Now, it's time I go and see what uncle Ka'dar has to say.
Upon entering the room, like a few times throughout this month, Ka'dar tried to attack me out of the blue.
Although I was rather prepared for this and was even somewhat egar after watching that video. But as usual, Ka'dar still managed to beat me, however I wasn't using my new skill, and this had been the first time that I didn't completely rely on past experience and instincts to win, but a loss is still a loss.
And I despise losing, so I'll just have to come up with a far stricter training schedule.
Once Ka'dar finally removed his foot from my back and let me get off the ground, I began to analyze my fight. Although there were only a few things that I could have done better, and I still don't believe that they would have changed the outcome of the battle.
"I need more battle experience." I said to Ka'dar as I took a seat on the couch with him.
"That's not all you need, you need to learn how to produce Ki, and more than just a few sets of the basic punches. Although, today I'm here regarding your request, I'm going to show you a place where many use to gain and train their combat experiences."
"We call it the Center Spawn, it's a place where only Grade One or Grade Two magical beasts appear. Many of the higher-ups think that the more intelligent beasts of the Beast Lord's command are using this area as a training spot. They believe that the beasts think of it as a weak spot in our formation that they can exploit, however we've also been using it as a training ground of our own."
"So youre saying that I'll be able to travel to the Center Spawn and battle with beasts around my level to further increase my skills!"
"Well yes and no. For one you won't be going alone, I'll have one of the Rank Two guards accompany you. And I'm only allowed to share the location of the Center Spawn with you if you agree to give back fifty percent of your total share of killed beasts."
"So I really am only going for the experience but the skills I earn aren't totally all mine. Does it matter the state in which the beasts are brought back?"
"Yes, and not really, as long as you bring back the corpse of the beast. Now as for the second thing I wanted to tell you, is that I'll be teaching you how to imbue your life force into your stored world energy, well once you arrive back."
"Great, well there are two things I want to ask you. One, am I going with a team or just myself and another Rank two guard?"
"Funny, you think you're going to be off the hook that easily, the answer is a team and a Rank two guard from the Golden. You'll need them just in case you spot either a few Rank two beasts or a Rank three beast."
'Ok I kind of predicted that he was still a bit mad, but holding it against me for over a month is kinda petty, just saying.'
"Alright then, well, my last question is, who is Nora and what connection did we share."
'If he doesn't answer this question then somethings got to be off, man I wish I had the power to hear heart beats or tell if he's telling the truth or not.'
'Do I have trust issues or what, what's taking him so long to answer?'
"Well, I guess she was your friend or better yet we would always say she was your girlfriend. That's all I know, plus she was like eight or nine, and you would always go over her house, how could I know more."
"So she was a friend, well If she was a good friend of mine, then why did she stop coming to see me? And what did she look like, have I seen her outside before?"
Just then something I had never seen before appeared on my uncle's face, irritation. He seemed like an entirely different person, once he stood up and began shouting about how he couldn't possibly know anymore. Although that wasn't the most interesting thing that had happened, he began crying while walking out the door.
Before he left, he said a few words before I could hear him close the door and fall to his knees crying and shouting.
"At dawn tomorrow, be ready."
These didn't seem like the actions of a man who didn't know more, but could he endure the pain if I continued to press on?
'I mean, just how far am I willing to go to retrieve lost memories?
To the ends of Earth, or until I reach the sun, maybe until I take my last breath.
Who could blame me, I just want to know what all happened back then, and why it happened…'
"No use in continuously thinking about it, it's time to get some rest, I don't feel like training anymore." And just like that my entire mood turned sour.
