After around ten minutes had passed, I made my way towards the green light in the sky. Also to both ease my curiosity and make sure I reached the zone within the time frame, I tested out my new skill, Partial Transformation.
At first I was surprised because once I focused the skill on my right arm, It took the same length and shape as the Wendigo's. Then that's when I remembered that, when I first received my system it was called the Wendigo System.
So once my arm transformed into a longer and skinnier version of itself, I decided on just what kind of fighter I wanted my stat points to revolve around. Which has honestly been something I've been pondering over the last few months. Just being a balanced fighter felt weird, the same with constantly heavily relying on strength.
So I've finally decided what I'm going to do, seeing as I've always had stamina problems, the best I can do is use in and out tactics. So I'll use my speed to get in close and strength to deal heavy damage and then back off and repeat. While prioritizing strength and speed, I'll also keep my endurace close by just in case I take a few hits.
Then lastly I'll try and keep my stamina at least five or seven points behind.
Now back on topic, my new skill allows me to alter and control two parts of my body at once. And depending on what is altered I get an added stat point to either strength, speed, stamina or endurance.
With this basic knowledge of my skill, I altered both of my legs and made a sprint towards what I call, the escape zone.
[Agility: 9(2)]
After arriving at the escape zone with only ten minutes left, well, I was utterly exhausted, I had never run for so long in those two months than I had today.
Then as I was catching my breath, a few screens appeared before me, and then I was enveloped in a flash of white light. Thus bringing me back out of wherever I was and back in the Center Spawn.
{Scenario 1 (Difficulty Easy) Complete!}
[Scenario 1 Rewards: No Penalty, and + 25 Ki.]
[Ki Needed: 60!]
"That sure was eventful. I should hurry up and clean up here and then make my way back to the city." I said to myself before rushing to collect the bodies of my part time comrades.
As they were all stored away inside of my inventory, I began making my way back home. Although this time I used my still altered legs to jump high into the air and activated my trusty air walking spell.
After around thirty minutes, I was back inside of my hometown, so before entering I of course canceled my Partial Transformation skill. And unlike last time there was no smell of beast flooding my nose, just the sweet scent of Humans.
Now, my trip home took a bit longer than it should have, seeing as I didn't have anyone to bring me straight back but like before after asking around I made it back home.
'I should really start mapping out the area around my house or else, I just may never make it back.' I thought while actively sighing.
CRASH!
[-2 Life Force]
A wooden chair was launched out of the window from my house, and yeah it was heading straight for me. I tried sidestepping to avoid the chair but I somehow ended up bumping into someone. This unfortunately caused the chair to hit both me and them.
Then the sounds of thrashing could be heard coming from inside the house along with crying. After helping the person below me up, I recognize the man as Darrell, one of the many house guards.
"Sorry Darrell but perhaps do you have any clue about what's going on inside?" I said while facing Darrell but without having my back completely face the house's front.
"Not a clue but you stay here while I go check it out." He said before entering the building.
Then around twenty more people including my uncle approached the house, it was clear by the looks on their faces that they didn't know what was going on inside. So I joined Darrell and went inside, only to find Darrell on the ground begging for forgiveness and a lady trashing the house while throwing items at Darrell.
Which he would just narrowly avoid before they hit him.
Then once I got a clean look at the woman's face I was able to instantly match her to the woman who helped me get home once before. Although I still remember why I made sure to keep her in my mind, because she was the one who knew almost every route to take to arrive at this very house.
'Paranoia? I think not.'
Unlike Darrell I shared almost no connection to this woman thus I didn't hold back in restraining her, which didn't take nearly as long as it should have. She was weak I mean really weak, almost like even a stick could break her bones.
Anyways I pinned her to the ground after making my way towards her while dodging objects of all kinds that were thrown my way. Then after grabbing a cover from the couch I restrained her hands and set her down on the shredded up couch.
This was all done to the displeasure of Darrell, one could simply tell this by the look on his face while the events unfolded. Then once she was calmed down after a fit of thrashing around on the couch, almost everyone from outside came into the house.
They were led inside by Ka'dar, who was actively brought to tears once he saw the woman on the couch and the house. Many of the guards too were saden as well, but not to the point of crying like Ka'dar thus they went with Darrell's approach and asked forgiveness, all while I was still left in the dark.
'Although I think some of them like me are most sad about the house. Not everyday you get to live in a place as nice as this one, but still just who is this woman?' I thought to myself while standing beside the newly nicknamed crazy-lady.
"Would some please tell me what's going on here!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Which snapped both the woman on the couch into a moment of recognition and Ka'dar's into his waterworks.
"You saved him but not my daughter! Where is she? Tell me where she Is!" The woman yelled at Ka'dar who took a seat on the floor in front of her.
"Marcel, this here is Nora's mother, and at one point in time she was also my lover." Ka'dar spoke slowly with faint traces of sadness lace with almost every word.
"So it's just a crazy ex-girlfriend situation like in shows?" I asked clearly without processing both my words and what the situation meant into account.
"Not at all, you see I dropped both you and her daughter off at the lab to be passed on to your father and mother, your brother was also there."
"You mean the same day where everyone but me died." I said in realization.
…
"So she hates you because you had somewhat of a hand involved with killing her child. Which is also why you got so defensive and emotional when I brought up Nora."
"You killed my baby, and you didn't even say sorry! You left me to wallow in sadness and even grive her alone, and you weren't even there at her funeral!" The crazy-lady shouted while staring directly at Ka'dar.
"I'm sorry but you have to understand that I was also grieving. I lost both my brother, Nephew and sister-in-law."
"I even thought I had lost both of my nephews but luckily… one surrived, yes I know this was the same night where you held Nora's funeral."
"Don't ever speak my baby's name again, or so help me I will find a way to break free and even…
She trailed off because of what I did next although I knew it was wrong and that she needed to vent her feelings.
Although I couldn't put up with her state any longer, she needs food badly. So I took the easiest approach and knocked her out and then brought her to a chair in the kitchen.
I mean even I have a heart.
Then I shouted a mouthful of words about how she gravely needed food and fell to the floor because of what some people would mistake as a headache or maybe even a migraine but not me, for I knew that it was another vision of the past.
But before I collapsed I had but one thought, 'I wonder if seeing Nora's mother made another vision want to occur?'
