Right before dawn I suddenly awoke to the horrid smell of spoiled meat, particularly bear meat.
"Well, I guess that's what I get for not cooking the meat right away. Oh, how I miss refrigerators!" I said while staring down at the corpses.
I then proceeded to drag the bear outside of the small cave and far away into the wilderness. "Can't have my little safe spot crawling with bugs or have the meat attract beasts."
Then I made my way back towards my cave as the sun completely rose into the sky. Here, I began my hypothesis, or rather theory.
'Is it possible to gain Stat points through normal training?' I thought while getting into a push-up position, and unlike last time when I had poor stats, I can now do ten pushups very easily.
Although considering my physical and now mental age, it's not that impressive. Though what is, is that I can reach thirty clean pushups in no time flat.
It wasn't until I reached fifty pushups that I felt a bit of fatigue, and once I reached a hundred I felt a lot more strain. Then at 129, I saw the very notification I had been wishing for.
[You've received +1 in the strength stat!]
[Strength: 15]
"Yesss!" I said as I dropped right onto the ground, while no longer carrying about completing the pushup.
'Alright now that I know this, I should try to increase at least one stat by one point each day. Though I might have to settle for just a week along with the occasional free stat point I'll get from my kills.'
'Now, I'll rest for a while and then set off to find some fresh water. Plus even if it has some impurities, I'm sure that my body can handle it, I mean I eat raw meat and brains almost twenty-four seven.' I thought before getting back on my feet.
"Yeah, I might need a little bit of rest time." Then after around ten minutes of waiting, I set back off into the wild.
'Wait, what's this?' I said while noticing a new envelope icon emerging in front of me. It had one red number three attached to its top right corner, well that was until I touched it.
Then suddenly a large widescreen appeared, and it read…
[You've created two personal skills called Survive at all costs, and Dodge, due to your life-staking battle!

You've completed the Survival Quest; 'Survive the night'!
Reward: ???
Please choose the following.
Choice A - Beast Jewel, or Choice B - Seven Skill Points.]
"I-I've struck gold, gold I tell you!" I yelled while being overcome by a breeze from the forest.
"Not only do I get two Personal Skills which act as passive skills, but I also get two choose between two amazing rewards!" I shouted again and then bailed when I heard a slight rustle from the bushes in front of me. It's safe to say I still haven't recovered from last night.
When I finally calmed down, I began debating over the rewards.
'If I choose choice B, then I'll be able to buy full transformation and probably some other skills. Although if I choose choice A then I might be able to receive a magical affinity or whatever it's called, though, that's still a gamble.'
…
'I've decided, I'll go with the safest option available, and I choose choice B!'
'Ding!'
[You've received eight skill points! One point extra due to a lucky first-time bonus!]
[Skill points: 12!]
'Now, is it the right time to purchase Full Transformation? I could always wait a bit longer, still what if I have another run-in with stronger beasts and can't outrun them, what then?'
'Just die? No, I need a final card or rather an ace right up my sleeve for any encounter, and if It turns out it wasn't worth it, well then I'm screwed.'
'Plain and simple just like my life, well maybe before the whole lab and system thing.'

"Holy mother of pearls!"
"Wait a minute, I can't buy all of these! At most I can only really purchase two for now." I spoke aloud once the realization hit me.
"Well, I guess I'll take, Complete Transformation, and Upgraded Skill Browser. This upgrade better be worth all of my skill points."

"I've finally got it!"

"Only if I knew this skill information beforehand then I definitely would have changed my choice System!"
"I demand a refund!"

"Of course, anyway this new skill is pretty good. It's actually what you would expect from a thing that sells Skills, I finally won't have to buy things and test them out blindly or solely just because they sound cool."
"In other words, today's a good day."
…
Unexpectedly I began to hear running from all around me. It was like there was a hoard of beasts coming my way.
"Me and my big mouth," I said before activating both partial transformation and air walking.
And then I got the heck out of there and returned to my cave.
Though I can still hear running from outside of the cave, just what idiot would go out and look?
Yep, as any normal person would, I stayed right inside of my cave.
That was until…
