In the morning of the next day, everyone had breakfast at the table except Karen, because Lauren had insisted that she stayed in bed.
Jane had no classes that day, so she had to stay indoors. Well, until...
A Mercedes Benz parked in front of the Wilson's mansion and Charlotte got off from it.
She went to the gate and pressed the bell that was on the wall. She waited for a few seconds and a voice startled her.
"Who is it please?" The voice came from a small speaker that was attached to the gate, which she hadn't noticed.
She placed her hand on her chest as she recovered from being startled. "Jon... is that you?" She asked instead.
"Yes... Who is this?" Asked Jon from the other side, pretending not to recognize Charlotte's voice.
"Oh c'mon. Are you saying you don't recognize my voice?" She asked, but she got no reply. "Okay, fine. It's me, Charlotte." She added from frustration.
"Move close to the camera, please. I would like to make sure."
"Really? Wow, Jane didn't tell me this was what it takes to get into her house. This place doesn't even look like a place where burglars would be. They would never want to toy with their lives." She mumbled to herself and went to stand before the camera. "Satisfied now?" She asked in annoyance.
Jon laughed at her. "Yeah I'm."
Hearing him laugh at her like that, she showed him her middle finger through the camera and mouthed 'Fuck you' which only made him laugh harder.
"Give me a sec, I'll be right there." After that, there was only silence until the sound of the opening gate was heard.
When the gate was opened half way, Charlotte stomped angrily into the compound, but her anger dissipated when her eyes were fed with the beauty of the house.
"Goodness... I've fallen in love." She hugged herself in awe.
"With me?" Jon jokingly asked.
Charlotte glanced back at him with a frown. "Not a chance." His face reminded her of her anger and she walked away.
Jon chuckled and said to himself. "That was fun."
He turned around to see someone looking at him with squinted eyes and that person was none other than Kai. "What is it now?" Asked Jon.
Kai raised both of his hands in the air. "I didn't say anything." He smirked and came closer "How do know her?"
"She's the best friend to the youngest miss." He looked away from Kai and closed the gate.
"I know that. She's the rich brat that I told you about the other day." Commented Kai.
"She's not a brat." Jon defended Charlotte.
"And how would you know that, huh?" Kai playfully winked at him.
"I've met her twice since I drive Miss Jane to school most times. No, I think it was only three times or was it four?" He sounded so confused that Kai had to excuse himself.
....
"Hello! Mr Stan! Boss!" Those were the words Stan was hearing in his sleep. He rolled over on the bed, but he still didn't open his eyes.
"If he hadn't roll over just now, I would have thought he was dead. He doesn't even sleep like this back at home. Do you think he really likes it here?" Said Kevin to Ian
"I don't know man. Let's just yell his name at the same time, one... two... go"
"Mr Stan!" They both shouted, but Stan was still unmoving.
"That does it! Give me a nugget." Said Ian as he stretched his palm to Kevin who was holding a basket containing food.
Kevin looked at him with squinted eyes. "What are you gonna do with it?" He asked and hid the basket behind him.
"Give it to me." Ian held Kelvin and struggled to get a nugget from the basket.
Ian suddenly gasped loudly "Oh my God! What's that?!" He pointed to something behind Kevin.
"What?" Kevin curiously looked back and Ian swiftly took a nugget.
"Gotcha." Ian laughed at him.
Ian leaned against the gate and with his hand inside one of the square holes of the gate, he aimed for Stan's face.
Kevin gasped this time. "You wouldn't dare." He challengingly looked at Ian.
Ian smirked. "Watch me." He threw it at Stan's face and Stan finally woke up. "I'm so sorry, boss. My hand slipped." He quickly said as he tried to hide his smile.
Stan picked up the nugget before glancing up at them and they could see the cut on his lips.
"You've hurt him. You fool!" Kevin hit Ian hard on his head.
Ian trembled slightly in fear. "No, it couldn't have been the nugget. The nuggets are boneless... Please tell me it wasn't the nugget."
Stan stood up while glaring at them and he squeezed the nugget that was in his hand, which made both of them gulp, especially Ian.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to. You see, we've been trying to get you to wake up, but nothing worked, so I foolishly tried this." Ian pleaded as he got on his knees.
"Yes boss. 'He' foolishly tried this, not me." Kevin didn't care about Ian and tried to save his own butt.
Stan suddenly laughed, surprising them. "If only you two could have seen your faces. How I wish I had my phone to capture this moment."
"You are not mad at me?" Ian asked with a bit of both relief and surprise.
"Of course I'm mad at the both of you... for waking me up!" He slammed his fist on the gate, making them move backwards.
"So the chicken nugget didn't hurt you?" Asked Kevin.
Stan shook his head.
"Who then would dare do this to you? Tell me boss. Is it a cop? I'll go rip his or her head off their body. I don't care if I would have to spend the rest of my life in jail." Kevin spat out nonsense.
Stan chuckled. "The cops don't have a reason to hit me on the face, dummy."
Kevin and Ian looked at each other with confused expressions on their faces.
"Then who did?.. Wait, did you hurt yourself on purpose?" Ian asked and he looked like he wouldn't be surprised if Stan's answer would be a 'yes'.
"It was Hen." Stan lazily said and sat on the bed while kevin and Ian's mouth opened in surprise.
....
Charlotte walked into the house and the grumpy look on her face immediately disappeared. "I feel so dizzy from this awesome beauty." She said to herself as she looked around the big house.
The interior designs, the beautiful paintings that was hung on the wall, the eye-catching roses and so much more. She just couldn't stop herself from examining them, until a voice made her halt.
"Eh ehm... Who are you supposed to be and what's your deal here?" Lauren asked as she looked at Charlotte from her head to her little toes, but she actually didn't see her toes since Charlotte had her shoes on.
"Good morning Mrs Wilson. I'm Charlotte Harper, your daughter's friend and course mate." She quickly answered.
Lauren moved closer to her. "Are you the friend that influences my daughter to sneak out for parties and stuff?" She asked with a scrutinized gaze.
Charlotte gulped and took few retreating steps. "No no no, I-I wouldn't do that. I'm a very good student, I don't miss classes and I try as much as possible to come top in the exams."
"Oh Charlotte, you are here." Said Jane as she came down the stairs. "I see you already met my mom."
"Yes, she is very welcoming." Charlotte said and quickly went to stand beside Jane.
"You are grounded, Jane. What makes you think you can make your friends come over?" Lauren frowned.
Jane feigned ignorance. "You didn't tell I couldn't call my friends to come over and Charlotte's house is like a thousand miles from here, so please don't chase her out... She's also someone's child." She stressed her last two words.
"Fine. I guess I can allow it slide just this once." Lauren forced her words out.
"Thank you Mrs Wilson. You are so kind." Charlotte bowed her head a little.
Jane held Charlotte's hand and she led the way up the stairs while Lauren was looking at them with squinted eyes.
When they got to Jane's room, Charlotte heaved a sigh. "My gosh! Your mom is really scary."
"She is?" Asked Jane looking amused.
"Yeah she is. She is way scarier than you are." She looked around in alert just incase Lauren was nearby. "For some reasons unknown to me, your mom hates me." She voiced out.
Jane gave Charlotte a glass of juice and smirked. "Oh I think I know why."
Charlotte took the glass and looked at her curiously. "Why?"
"Because I told her how you've been bugging me about losing my virginity and how glorious a manhood feels." Said Jane with a straight face.
"What!" Charlotte trembled in fear and accidentally dropped the glass.
