Chereads / My enemy from hell / Chapter 15 - First time

Chapter 15 - First time

Kevin and Ian were sitting on the floor, listening to Stan's story about his injured lip.

According to Stan, Hendrick had come like a ravened mad beast and he was surprised thinking his baby brother was worried about him. Stan had gone closer to the gate which gave Hendrick a better chance of hitting him.

It was a very powerful hit and Stan was dizzy for about five seconds or so and when he had regained his composure he heard Hendrick say something like "I didn't say anything the first time you snuck out with Karen, neither did I today, because I was yet to figure you out, but you hurting Jane, that's extreme and very disappointing. She might try to prove that she is strong and better than men, but she is still a young lady who just turned nineteen eighteen. No matter what your reasons might be, you don't have the right to hurt her... Take this as a warning" And just like that, he had left Stan who was confused.

After Stan was done with his story, the first thing Ian could think of saying was "Wow! That was amazing."

Stan frowned "Amazing?"

"Yeah, it's been so long since he fought back. He always ignored you no matter how hard you taunted him. He would always say 'Stan, I'm warning you', then he would leave your presence." Kevin commented.

"It would have been amazing to me if he had hit me because I taunted him until he lost his cool, but I did nothing of such." Stan was done eating and stretched out his hand that was holding his plate from the cell. "Give me some more Mac and cheese." He licked his lips.

"Maybe he actually hit you because of Karen, but decided to make up an excuse or at the same time, that Jane girl might have told him about the call." Kevin said as he dished out Mac and cheese for Stan from the basket.

"Yeah, she might have figured out that you were the brain behind the phone call." Ian said in realization.

"She might be emotionally dumb, but she is also smart... Oops, maybe she got hurt in the dojo." Kevin looked at Ian "I guess this is your fault cuz you were the one who sent her there."

"Hey! Don't try to make me look bad. When I made the call, you both were impressed with it and didn't complain." Ian defended himself.

"Yeah, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's all your fault... Don't worry boss, I'll punch his face on your behalf." He tried to hit Ian, but Ian quickly stood up.

"There's no way I'm letting you do that without a fight." Ian glared at Kevin who also stood up.

"It's the boss's order. Give me your face." He tried to hit him, but Ian dodged it.

"How could I forget that your aim is nothing close to a 'not bad'?" Ian chuckled and wanted to retaliate.

"I want you both out of her before my eyes are open." Said Stan with his eyes closed.

"See what you did, you made him angry." Ian blamed Kevin.

"I'm sorry boss. We'll leave, but please eat first. I already dished it out. Remember you said it was your favorite?" Kevin spoke sweetly as if trying to soothe a child.

Stan opened his eyes in disgust. "Ew! I can't even count the number of times I saw your salivas go into the food... My eyes are closed again, don't make me open them." He warned.

They quickly put the plate and cup back into the basket and ran away.

....

"What did I do to make you hate me? You actually brought me here to end my life." Charlotte cried in fear.

Jane laughed. "Don't worry, you wouldn't be dying in my mother's hands today, but you would if you tell me about sex next time." She threatened.

"So you didn't tell her yet?" Charlotte asked with hope.

Jane patted her shoulder "You wouldn't be standing here if I did."

"You are really crazy. You scared the shit out of me." Charlotte pouted "Don't make me regret coming here." She looked at the broken glass and the juice that was now on the floor. "And I'm not cleaning that up."

"No one ased you to... So tell me, what's going on tonight?" Asked Jane.

"A girls sleep over at Madison's house. I'm sure you are not interested in.."

Jane cut her off. "That's perfect, I'm tagging along."

Charlotte laughed. "I don't think you heard me right... I said girls night, not guys night."

"I heard you the first time."

Charlotte sighed. "What would you do there? There would be talks about hot guys, we would watch R- rated movies and scream when we see an hot guy on TV and so on. As your best friend, I know non of the things I mentioned are to your liking."

"No worries, I'll just close my ears or have a drink by myself at a corner. At least I'll be away from home and that's more than enough."

"If you say so, but you do remember that you are grounded, right?" Charlotte looked at her questioningly.

"Of course I do, but I won't be grounded for much longer." Jane smirked.

Charlotte giggled excitedly at the thought of Jane having a plan. "The baddest chic has a plan. Tell me what you plan on doing."

"I'm going to use a mother's love against a mother. I'm sure she wouldn't be able to resist."

A knock on the door was heard. "Girls, I brought you cookies." Lauren's voice sounded from outside.

"Come in!"

Lauren entered the room with a plate of cookies. "I made enough for everyone."

"Thank you so much Mrs Wilson. I'm really jealous of my friend right here. She has a mother who's so caring. My mom never goes into the kitchen." Charlotte praised Mrs Wilson.

"I'm sure she must have her reasons." Lauren said and smiled at her.

Charlotte took a cookie and tasted it. "Oh my God! You are so good." She continued to praise her while munching.

"Yeah mom, I don't think anyone could beat this at a cooking contest... Not even Mr Evans." Jane also joined Charlotte as soon as she tasted it.

"Oh you flatterers. You are making me feel special." Lauren laughed.

"Well, that's because you are special." Jane commented once more, then she gave Charlotte a look and nudged her a bit.

It took a long time for Charlotte to understand the message Jane wanted to pass across and when she finally got it, she quickly put it into action.

"Oh, Jane, I just remembered that Madison is having a girls night at her place. Are you coming?" Charlotte winked at Jane, because Lauren couldn't see her face.

"I can't. I'm grounded, remember?" Jane faked a sad face and sighed.

"Sorry, I forgot you were grounded. Don't worry, I'm sure they would understand that a nineteen year old girl and not just any girl but you, the youngest daughter of the Wilson's family couldn't make it because you were grounded." She was intentionally stressing her words so they'd sink into someone's head.

"Yeah, I guess they would understand." Jane sighed again.

"Okay girls. I've something to do so I'll leave you two alone now." Lauren said and quickly wanted to leave.

"Wait!" Jane called out and Lauren stopped and when Jane wanted to move closer she accidentally stepped on the pieces from the broken glass. "Ah!" Jane hissed from the sharp pain.

Lauren quickly turned around in worry and went to Jane. "What happened darling?" Her eyes trailed down and she saw the glass. "What is a broken glass doing on the floor?"

Jane smiled instead of answering Lauren's question. "I... I love you, mom." She had to force those words out even when she knew deep down that it was the truth.

Lauren's eyes widened a little at the unexpected confession. "What did you say?"

"I love you. I just wanted you to know that." Jane replied with a smile.

"I can't remember the last time you said that to me." Lauren mumbled.

She wasn't surprised that Jane loved her, but she knew her daughter wasn't the type to express her feelings and hearing Jane say this to her really warned her heart.

Lauren snapped out of her thoughts. "I love you more, but let's see your leg. Is it bleeding?" She made Jane sit on the bed and raised her foot.

There was just a little cut but it wasn't deep, hence, there was no blood.

"You have to careful next time, okay? Who broke the glass in the first place?" Lauren looked at the girls questioningly.

Jane and Charlotte pointed an accusing finger at each other.

"Why are you pointing your finger at me?" Jane glared.

"Because it wasn't me and it had to be one of us." Retorted Charlotte.

"Enough you guys. I'll just call Sarah to clean it up." Said Lauren and she made her way to the door.

"It didn't work." Charlotte whispered to Jane.

"When are you going to back home?" Lauren suddenly asked.

Jane excitedly stood up. "From Madison's house?" She asked.

Lauren nodded.

"I guess since it's a 'girls night', it means I'll have to spend the night."

"You must be back before 8am. Failure to do so, you will be double grounded." Lauren sternly said.

"So she can come? Did you hear that, Jane? She just said you could come." Charlotte excitedly shook Jane.

"Yeah, my ears work perfectly." She got Charlotte hands off from herself and looked at Lauren. "Thank you mom. I might even be here by 7 if there aren't any traffic."

"And not just that. You must also text me a pic that proves that you are hanging out with girls in this Madison's house... Don't think you call fool me with a fake photo. I wasn't born yesterday." Lauren warned.

"Don't worry mom, I won't toy with getting double grounded." She assured her.

"Then you may go." Lauren smiled at her and left her room.

Charlotte twirled. "Oh my God, it actually worked. You are a genius."

Jane felt proud of herself "Tell me something I don't know."

"You don't know that your girlfriend is going to be there."

Jane face palmed herself. "Girl! That was just an expression. I didn't mean for you to actually tell me something I didn't know... So, which girlfriend are you talking about?"

"You think I'm gonna tell you after you just made me look dumb?... But whatever, I'll tell you. She's the most special amongst your friends." Charlotte grinned.

"I'm not proud to admit it, but you are actually the most special." Jane said as she looked away from her.

"Aww! That's so sweet, but then I'm just your best friend. I can't be compared to your lover."

Jane raised her brows. "Okay, just take the bull by the horns already. Who are you talking about?"

"Stephanie of course. When i saw you both dancing back at the hotel, I knew it wasn't gonna end there. Stephanie has been posting pics of you, calling you her boo and sharing the beautiful story of how you asked her out. I'm rooting for you guys. I'm your biggest fan."

"What!" Jane shouted. "Please tell me you are joking."

"Joking about which part? About Stephanie's posts or about I being your biggest fan?" Charlotte asked with confusion.

"All of it."

Charlotte's confused expression turned into a smile. "Oh, I see what's going on here. You don't want your relationship to be publicized yet, not knowing that your girlfriend couldn't contain her happiness and had already shared it... I see a couple's fight coming up tonight, it would be, what's the word again? Yeah, cuteness overload." Charlotte laughed.

"It wouldn't be cute. It would be murderous." Jane spoke with clenched fists.

Charlotte ignored her and continued talking. "The only thing that makes me wanna pity you is that you wouldn't get to enjoy what I enjoyed with my ex-boyfriends." She saw Jane frown harder and she decided to stop talking about boys. "But you don't have to worry, you can still enjoy yourself with Stephanie. You could buy toys and you get to do stuffs to her and she does same to you."

"Ew! Stop saying that." Jane expressed her disgust.

"What do you mean ew? What else are you two expected to do? Only kissing?" Charlotte shot back, slightly annoyed at Jane's disgust in everything.

Jane bent down to take a baseball bat that was under her bed and chased Charlotte.
