Charlotte drove straight to madison's house and she parked the car.
There were also other cars that were parked there, probably owned by some of the rich girls that came over.
It was barely a minute that they arrived that a cab also stopped in front of the house and out of it came Stephanie.
Jane saw her and smirked. "I think we came at the right time."
"What do you plan on doing?" Charlotte asked with a devious smile.
"It will be as my spirit leads." Jane answered and got out from the car.
"Hey Steph." Jane blocked her way.
Stephanie was a little startled and became dumbfounded when she realized it was Jane that was standing before her, wearing a girly purple pajama. "Jane! Is this really you?"
Jane responded to her question by grabbing her pajama by the collar pulling her and that choked her.
"Yeah, it's you." said stephanie as she tried to make Jane loosen her grip. "At least do me the favor of telling me what I did this time."
"No. You are the one who's gonna tell me what you did." Jane tightened her grip.
"Help!" Stephanie opted to scream.
"Not on my watch." said Charlotte as she covered stephanie's mouth with her palm.
Stephanie was surprised and tried to speak, but ended up making muffling sounds.
"Why am I helping her instead of saving you?... Well, the answer is simple. My life, my choice. Now if you value your life, you will tell her what you think you did wrong."
Stephanie bit Charlotte's hand. "Ah! Jane. She bit me." She complained to Jane.
"Please let me go. I don't know what I'm supposed to be confessing to. Help!" Stephanie pleaded.
Charlotte had gone to her car to get a scarf and she tied it over Stephanie's mouth then Jane forcefully pulled Stephanie to the garden.
There was a seat there, so they sat her down.
Jane spotted a rope on the floor. "Seems like the heavens are in favour of me punishing you." She looked at Charlotte. "Get the rope."
Charlotte got the rope and with Jane pinning Stephanie on the chair, she easily tied Stephanie to the chair.
"I'll be back for you whenever I feel like it and if you don't say what I want to hear you say, your punishment would be doubled." Jane threatened and they left the struggling Stephanie in the garden.
The front door was slightly opened, so Jane and Charlotte didn't bother knocking. They entered the house and they could hear the girls already chatting and laughing. A mouth watering aroma also filled the house.
"I'm in love with whoever is in the kitchen right now." Said Charlotte to Jane. She then faked feeling dizzy. "The aroma has got me weak in the knees."
The girl's who were already present could hear footsteps and voices from the sitting room, so they all came to the corridor to see who else had arrived.
The smiles on all the girls faces went down when they saw Jane there. "Jane?!" Exclaimed one of the girls.
"Jane looking like a girl! Am I dreaming?"
"No, not you again!" Complained another.
Madison, the host who was in the kitchen came to see what was going on. "What is it? I was hearing your murmurs from the kitchen." But when she saw Jane, she didn't need anyone to tell her the reason as she already knew.
She faked a small smile. "Jane, what a wonderful surprise. It's an honor having you in my house."
"Mn." Replied Jane.
"But I would like to know how you got to know about my sleep over party. Not that I don't want you here or didn't invite you on purpose, but I'm just a little curious."
Jane put her arm around Charlotte's shoulders. "It was all this chic right here." Then she made her way into the sitting room while all the girls faced Charlotte with frowns on their faces and were shooting daggers at her with their eyes.
Charlotte gulped. "Uhm, I'm coming Jane!" She quickly escaped and went to join Jane in the sitting room.
The girls slowly trooped in after her, still not looking pleased.
Jane noticed the tension in the air and without looking at them, she sighed. "You guys don't have to worry about my being here. I'm not interested in anything you guys are gonna be doing. I'm going to stay out of your hairs. It would be like I'm not even here."
"Really?!" Asked Madison.
"That would be great." Said another girl.
"Yeah, all I need is just a bottle of soda and a pic with you guys." Replied Jane to Madison.
The girls threw confused glances at each other. "A picture with us?" Asked one of the girls.
"Yeah, you heard me." Jane took out her phone. "Gather round everyone." She gave one of the girls her phone. "Take up to three pictures."
The pictures were successfully taken. "Now that that's done, where's my drink?" Asked Jane.
"Coming right up!" Madison ran to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of wine and a cup. "Here, enjoy." She happily said.
Jane thanked her, collected them and went to sit at a corner. She poured a drink for herself and after gulping it down, she picked up her phone and texted the pictures to her mom. She also wrote 'see mom, I didn't go clubbing' and then she smiled to herself when she clicked the send button.
....
"Dinner is ready!" Said Georgia as she took the food to the dinning table.
Harry abandoned Hendrick in the living room and ran to the dinning room. "Spaghetti and meatballs! Oh I love you, grandma."
"Shut up and set the table." Georgia ordered.
"You never tell me you love me back." Harry pouted.
"Is that necessary?" She asked as she set the table herself, putting the plates and cutleries where they were supposed to be.
Hendrick came over to the dinning room and there was a smile on his face because of Harry and Georgia's cat and rat relationship. "It's been years since the last time I ate a meal cooked by you. I'm sure it would taste as good as the aroma."
"You would only be a hundred percent sure if you taste it. So go on, have a seat. Taste it and tell me what you think." She pulled out a seat for him and he sat.
He looked up at her and smiled. "I love you, grandma."
She bent down and kissed his cheek. "I love you a million times more, my dear."
"Grandma! I thought it wasn't necessary." Harry folded his arms around his chest.
"Not when my munchkin is the one involved." She replied and took a seat.
"Sometimes I doubt if you are actually my grandma." He made a sad face.
"Aww! don't be sad. Grandma loves you too, so much, she's obviously just teasing." Said Hendrick.
"I don't want her to tease me, I want her to say it. I can't remember the last time someone told me those words." Harry sulked like a child.
"Quit your whining and let Hendrick have his dinner before it gets cold." Goeorgia warned him and helped Hendrick dish out some spaghetti and meatballs to his plate.
Harry raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, madam." He ridiculed and when he looked at Hendrik's direction, he saw him silently move his lips as if saying something. He was able to make out the words and they were the words 'I love you'.
Harry couldn't hide his smile as he looked away from Hendrick to serve himself some spaghetti and meatballs.
....
"Dinner is ready!" Said Madison as she brought a small stainless buffet which contained the food she cooked.
"Oh my! Chilli chicken soup!" Exclaimed Charlotte.
"Boneless chilli chicken." Madison proudly said.
"You are wonderful." Complemented Charlotte and the others joined in.
"You are the best."
"The sight is glorious."
"I wanna gobble it down selfishly."
The complements were coming nonstop and she had to stop them. "That's enough already. I'm flattered." She put the buffet on the floor and went to get plates and spoons with the some of the girls that followed her to lend a helping hand.
They returned with the plates and spoons. "Help yourselves, girls." Said Madison.
One of the girls was the first to try and scoop some for herself, but she was stopped by Madison. "Wait!"
"What now? I'm hungry." Complained the girl.
"I feel like there's something amiss... but I can't quite put my finger on it." She stroked her chin as she looked around and at faces of all the girls present. "Aha! I've gotten it. Stephanie isn't here yet."
"Yeah, that's right."
"Maybe she has something more fun to do and decided to bail. I can't believe you stopped me because of her, let's eat. Who's with me?" Said the same girl who had tried to help herself to some chilli chicken soup. All the girls raised their hands in the approval. "See? They all agree with me."
Madison stood in the way that no one could get to the buffet. "Okay, why don't I call her cellphone once? And if she doesn't pick up then we proceed without her."
The girls gave her thumb downs, but she ignored it and said "I knew you guys would understand." Then she dialed Stephanie's number.
First, second and third ring and there was no response from Stephanie. "That's weird, she always answers my calls."
The girls had given up on having a taste of the soup, as they knew Madison wouldn't stop calling until she got a response, so they started a conversation amongst themselves instead.
"Shhh... guys, I think I hear something." said one of the girls.
"You think?"
"Yeah, shut up, I hear it too." said Madison as she focused on the sound, trying to trace it's source. "It sounds like it's coming from the garden... That's... That sounds likes Stephanie's ringtone, I'm sure of it."
"What would she be doing in the garden?" Asked Charlotte, acting ignorant.
"Same thing I'm thinking." Replied Madison. "Let's go see." She hurriedly left and the girls followed suit. Everyone except Jane.
They met Stephanie in the garden and she had toppled over while still tied to the chair. When she saw them, her joy was expressed through her eyes and her increased muffled sounds
"Holy nuts! Who did this to you?" Madison and three other girls ran to her.
The scarf that was tied tightly over her mouth was removed. "Where's Jane?! I'm going to end her!... And that Charlotte too!" She screamed and tried to free herself aggressively.
"Calm down, you are making it hard for us to untie you." Complained one of the girl's who was getting impatient.
She stayed still and was let loose from the chair. She spotted Charlotte and ran to her like someone possessed. "I'll kill you!" She shouted and when her hands were about to touch Charlotte, she let out a Yelp. "Argh! Cramp!" She bent and held her thigh.
Charlotte burst into laughter. "How unlucky you must be. Even the heavens aren't in support of your retaliation." She mocked and stick out her tongue.
"So you admit to doing this?" Asked Madison.
Charlotte shrugged. "Totally."
"I can't walk. Please help me." Stephanie pleaded while still holding her thigh.
Madison and one other girl assisted her in getting into the house.
"I love that you and Jane taught her a lesson." One of the girls laughed.
"No, not cool. We were made to starve because of you and Jane."
"Yeah, not cool, dude." Most of the famished girls were against them.
"I didn't do it alone, now did I? So why don't we go in and then you can all pour your hearts out to both Jane and me?" Charlotte shut them up at the mention of Jane's name. Only the stubborn ones were still mumbling.
They went inside and saw Jane holding Madison's baseball bat. She seemed to be practicing how to play baseball.
Who were they kidding? Jane was obviously preparing herself to beat the shit out of Stephanie and any other girl who was brave enough to stand in her way.
Stephanie quickly hid herself behind the girls. "Please, save me from her."
Madison gave Jane a disappointed look. "What's this Jane? You promised you wouldnt disrupt this gathering."
"Promises are meant to be broken, but don't worry, I won't break mine if she complies." Jane stated her condition.
Stephanie finally decided to stop proving stubborn. "Okay, fine. I'm sorry for lying about you online. I promise to delete all my posts about you once I get my hands on my phone."
"That's what all these is all about?" Madison sighed. "I'm done with you two for the night. Let's go eat some chilli chicken girls!"
"Yey!" They screamed in excitement and left Jane with Stephanie. Everyone, including Charlotte.
"What are you waiting for? Delete the posts already!" Jane ordered.
"Yes... right away." She took out her phone and quickly went to her social media accounts, deleting the posts one after the other. "See? It's all done."
Jane nodded. "Yeah, I see it, but I'm still not satisfied."
