Avyanna's Pov
My lovely sunset convinced me to attend Roshan's party.
I noticed there were 25 people present as soon as I stepped onto the field. I am familiar with two of them.
I guess she truly is that determined to seize this body.
Just thinking about it causes a smirk to appear on my face.
I must do this even though it might hurt my sunset.
"Lady Brooke."
I turned my gaze to Roshan, who called me. He's riding on the horse.
"Have you two gotten together?"
I wasn't shocked by his question. He is aware of Yena and me, I knew that.
I retorted, "How about you and the Duke?" without responding to his remark.
He laughed a little bit.
He replied with a smile, "Nearly."
I said walking straight ahead, "I'm really interested about your relationship, I wanted to hear about it. Would you like to talk to me occasionally?"
"After this. I might." He answered.
I murmured, "Hmm. If you were to know me, then let's please have a conversation." He might have been confused, but I really wanted to be friends with him.
"I know you, of course." He said.
"Monster ahead!" A knight announced.
We assembled, Roshan took out the bow and aimed.
When a group of goblins attacks us, I let the knights handle the killing since they are weak and quick to kill.
The individuals I kept observing simply followed us. It's best to let people pursue their desires.
I was feeling woozy from the static ringing in my head. To focus on fighting this would be extremely difficult. They never stopped.
Thunderclaps could be heard off in the distance. The sky was growing darker as well. Monster hunting will be challenging if it rains.
So far, there are only goblins and some wild animals, such as tigers, wild boar, deers.
They took their hunts on a moving carriage that we brought along.
"Ogres ahead!"
Three ogres were waiting, and they launched a coordinated attack. As Roshan mounted his horse and began to shoot, the knights subdued them.
His initial attempt was unsuccessful, which further enraged the ogres and sent them on a rampage.
Some of the knights in our group were hurt because they were pushed back.
Now, I can't just remain motionless.
3rd Person's Pov
Avyanna is floating in the air while her blue orbs are shining. One of the ogres is the target of her outstretched hand.
"Everyone stand back!" She shouted.
A red-colored magic circle formed in front of her palm.
"Fire bomb."
As soon as she uttered those words, an ogre caught fire, and everyone fled. After the ogre explodes, raindrops begin to fall.
Avyanna crouched down and scowled as she examined the palm of her hand.
'It felt weak.' She thought, which is not wrong.
The monster was still standing there as the rain fell and the fire was out.
Roshan commanded, "Fire has no effect. Everyone leave!"
Avyanna was alerted when the person hidden on the tree started to move.
"Everyone move quickly!" she commanded.
Avyanna stated while holding the horse, "Roshan, let me borrow your horse."
"The rain is growing heavier, shouldn't you be retreating too," he said.
"There are three ogres; if it were just one, it would be manageable. The knights we brought are not many. Lead them back," Avyanna said calmly. "I'm a mage, right? I'll lure them away, so keep the people in safety."
Roshan got off the horse and said, "Okay. Come back, okay."
Avyanna nodded and mounted the horse, saying, "Of course."
She successfully distracts the ogres by attacking them with air swords. She headed the horse away from where they had come from.
She felt familiar with this incident, and she could hear the ogre roars in her thoughts. She shakes her head, but the feeling of being lightheaded returns.
She lost the ogres, but now she is surrounded by individuals in black.
"So, this is where it leads, huh?" She smirked and flew in the air.
Attacks from wind blades come from all sides. But it's not enough to stop these men.
Two individuals start attacking one another. They are the members of Aster's guild.
They outran the remaining assassins thanks to their agility and dagger strikes.
Avyanna's body gave out, and there was still static inside her head.
"Not now." She said in a low voice as she slowly descended.
Despite assassins attacking her, the physical preparation she had done before discovering her magic had paid her. She took the sword from the horse and swung it as the enemy drew near, but it was stopped.
"Too slow," the killer said.
She grins, "And I'm not alone."
The assassin recognized his mistake, he attacked without minding his back. The dagger's jagged edges pierced his chest and killed him.
"Ahhhh!!!"
Avyanna became distracted by the camp's screams and shrieks.
Fire is igniting from the direction they came from in the middle of the downpour. Her heartbeat increased in volume and speed, as if it were the only sound she could hear.
What is going on over there?
Avyanna said as she took off sprinting, "Run back!"
The two companions went after her. Her body is growing fatigued, and her heart is beating; if this keeps up, she might pass out.
She used her magic to fly through the air and hasten her return to the camp. As soon as she arrived, she saw everyone start to panic.
She had no idea who was who.
Unconsciously, she yelled out, "Yena... Diane."
The camp was assaulted by hordes of monsters. Avyanna was searching with her eyes for two individuals but was unsuccessful.
She took off a little more before hearing a yell.
"THERE! THAT'S THE DEMON!"
Hearing such words causes her ears to quiver. She scowled at the yelling woman.
Her fiery eyes met those of the other woman. The assembled knights are being addressed by Rhis.
She yelled, "That woman was the one who ordered the monsters to attack the camp."
Some nobility and the knights were scared into whispering to one another.
Even as people are dying, they still plan to gossip.
'I can't ruin Avyanna's reputation.' She thought.
Avyanna yelled out angrily, "A person who was revived from the dead shouldn't be announcing someone to be a demon! You're the one who brought them here."
Rhis yelled out, "You have no proof! I'm a saintess from the temple."
"There is no saintess in this world because you never mentioned one, so I'm not sure if you're just stupid or bad at planning."
People began to become perplexed.
In order to prevent monsters from entering, Avyanna put out the flames from the burning tents and surrounded the area with earth.
"What are you...."
"Everyone is aware that saintess are born with purple eyes rather than red eyes," according to Avyanna.
"T-that's correct."
"There are no saintesses with crimson eyes."
"And it was claimed that she lacked any holy abilities."
Avyanna stated coolly, "You're the one who doesn't hold any evidence."
"Y-you led the demons here, and Y-you plan to kill the Marquis Roshan," someone exclaimed.
Avyanna screamed indignantly, "You..."
That woman wants to make Roshan the sacrifice for her desires! This is not only a fictional universe. She didn't just invent this world. Here, people are going about their daily lives with freedom to do as they like.
Avyanna extends her hand as Rhis soars through the air and grabs her. She tightens her grip as soon as she catches her by the neck.
Avyanna questioned, "Even so, you think I can't murder you here?"
Rhis laughed.
"And you believe that I am foolish for having no backup plan?"
The woman frowns.
"If you kill me, I'm taking your lovely villainess and your maid with me."
"You dare!" Avyanna threatens.
"A-Avy...."
