"My princess, right this way, I have prepared a hot bath for you" said the maid as she smiled as Wura walked into her room shivering as she chattered her teeth.
"Oh thank you" said Wura as she shivered, she was so cold, so very cold, she would not be surprised if she did catch a cold in the end.
"Shall I help you my princess?" asked the maid as she smiled.
"Ahh no, no, I will be fine, I can do it myself" said Wura as she smiled.
"Alright my princess" said the maid as she smiled.
"Shall I prepare some hot tea to warm you up?" asked the maid.
"Ahh yes, please do that" said Wura as she smiled.
"As you wish my princess" said the maid as she smiled and she bowed her head and she walked out of Wura's room, leaving her all alone.
…
"Ahhh" said Wura as she groaned as she felt the hot water engulf her, it just felt so good on her cold skin, she felt like she could stay in the bath forever, but that would be impossible the water was bound to turn cold sooner or later.
Wura sighed as she smiled, she could not believe that she just had a snowball fight, it was her first one ever, and it was very fun, if only she did not have to end up so cold, but overall everything was just so wonderful, and the lovely children had decided to generously help her, they were all so sweet, they had even made her a flower crown, she would make sure to keep it and remember it, and wear it when she could.
Wura just played with the water in her hands, it felt so warm, she decided to wash her hair as well as she dipped her hair into the bath water, she knew that she would regret doing so when she tried to dry her hair, but she was in the moment and well the hot water was too good to pass up.
…
"Your tea my princess" said the maid as she walked into the study where Wura was sitting and looking out the window, she was in a new warm dress and she felt so much more better, her was still damp, but what could she have done about that?
"Oh thank you" said Wura as she smiled and the maid smiled and she placed the tray on the little table as she poured Wura a cup of hot tea.
"You are welcome my princess" said the maid as she smiled and she bowed her head as she walked away and Wura drank her tea.
"May I join you?" came Liam's voice as he walked into the study and Wura turned to look at him.
"Well of course you may your highness" said Wura as she smiled and Liam smiled as he sat down across her, he had also changed his clothes, Wura figured that he might have also taken a bath, maybe he actually did feel cold after all.
"Thank you" said Liam as he smiled and he poured himself a cup of tea, he glanced at Wura, she was just so happy and cheerful, and he liked that she was.
"Your highness, I have a question" said Wura as she looked at Liam and she smiled.
"Ask away" said Liam as he smiled and he placed the teacup on its saucer on the table.
"Why did your throw a snowball at me?" asked Wura as she laughed, she could not think of a reasonable reason why he would do such, it made no sense to her.
"Well you did say that you never had a snowball fight before so…" said Liam as he smiled as he looked at Wura.
"He remembered" said Wura to herself as she smiled, he was so sweet.
"So I decided to make up for your lost snow fights" said Liam as he laughed and Wura laughed as well.
"Thank you your highness…" said Wura as she smiled at him, he was always so nice to her and Liam just smiled at her.
"So how was your first snowball fight?" asked Liam as he smiled and he drank his tea.
"Cold… very cold" said Wura as she laughed and she replied.
"Had I known that we were going to have one, I would have worn gloves" said Wura as the hot tea was warming her fingers, the snow was so cold.
"Ahh I see, well next time you will" said Liam as he laughed and Wura smiled, he already had a next time in mind.
"Well next time, I shall be the one to hit you first, and not you" said Wura as she laughed.
"Oh we shall see about that" said Liam as he laughed.
"The children were just all so sweet, they even defended me" said Wura as she drank her tea and she smiled.
"Well I found that unfair, no one was on my side" said Liam as he laughed.
"Well because you were the bad man" said Wura as she laughed.
"I beg to differ, I am your husband, I cannot possibly be the bad man" said Liam as he laughed.
"Oh well you are your highness" said Wura as she laughed.
"You caught me off guard, I did not expect a snowball to suddenly hit my head, it felt so cold" said Wura as she laughed.
"You were just… just so childish your highness" said Wura as she laughed.
"I would not mind being childish as long as I am with you" said Liam as he smiled.
"*Ahem*" said Wura as she cleared her throat and she looked away from him as her eyes darted around the room and a particular landscape painting caught her eye.
"That painting is rather nice, do you not think so your highness?" asked Wura as she smiled and she turned to look at Liam as he looked at the painting.
"Well yes it is, this painting was made of Cornwalk, back when Cornwalk was nothing but a small village" said Liam as he smiled, the painting had many little houses painted in it, and the sun was setting down on the houses as the sky was orange.
"It is very detailed" said Wura as she smiled and she admired the painting.
"Yes it is" said Liam as he smiled.
"My mother just loved paintings, even though she could not paint herself" said Liam as he turned to look at Wura and he smiled at her.
"Who can blame her, paintings are just so detailed, so intricate, every line and stoke of the brush creates something on the canvas" said Wura as she looked at Liam.
"You seem to like paintings as well" said Liam as he smiled.
"Well yes your highness… I do" said Wura as she smiled.
"I just adore them; they are just a moment captured in time forever" said Wura as she smiled.
"I do just love to paint" said Wura as she smiled.
"Oh really now? Is that so?" asked Liam as he was surprised, this was something he had never known about Wura.
"Yes your highness" said Wura as she smiled.
"Have you painted many things before?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Yes your highness, I have… although some of them may not be that good" said Wura as she laughed.
"I would like to see them" said Liam as he smiled.
"Well your highness, my very best ones are hung up in the house of my parents" said Wura as she smiled.
"Then we must just have to go see them once we return" said Liam as he smiled, he wanted to see her work, he did not know that this wife of his was very skilled.
"Alright your highness" said Wura as she laughed.
"Your mother… she sounds like a very lovely woman" said Wura as she smiled.
"Oh she was, my father always told me of how she was, in fact, he says I look just like her" said Liam as he laughed and Wura laughed she would not know, she had only seen a painting of her once.
"I miss her every day, I wonder what it would have felt like to have her here by my side, to grow old just like my father has" said Liam as he smiled sadly.
"Your highness…" said Wura as she did not know what to say.
"Your highness… we can always wish… but it is best that we sometimes focus on what is in front of us now" said Wura as she smiled, that was all she could see, she could see that Liam was hurting.
"You are right" said Liam as he smiled and he looked at Wura as she smiled at him.
Suddenly in that moment, Wura began to hear the sound of horses neighing, it was as if a carriage had stopped in front of the Castle.
"What is that?" asked Wura as she looked at Liam.
"Why do you not go and check?" asked Liam as he smiled and Wura looked at him with suspicion, he did not seem to be bothered at all, so she did not trust him at all.
