"Your highness, did you send for the coachman to come to the Castle?" asked Wura as she looked at Liam with suspicion.
"Well no, we have nowhere to go today" replied Liam as he smiled.
"But you seem to know something, because I do not trust you" said Wura as she scoffed at him, was he trying to be mysterious or what??
"And why do you not trust me?" asked Liam as he raised an eyebrow at Wura as he smiled cheekily at her.
"Well because… you cannot be trusted, you can say one thing and you can something else" said Wura.
"Well the only way for you to see if you can trust me or not, is for you to go and see what is happening outside for yourself" said Liam as he smiled.
"You know what your highness, I will" said Wura as she scoffed and she stood up as she placed her teacup on the saucer on the table and she stormed out of the study, she did not know what Liam was playing at and it annoyed her.
"Well it was nice while it lasted" said Liam as he laughed and he stood up as he followed after Wura, the way she could just easily change her feelings was funny, one moment she was all smiles and the next she was doubting him.
"Just who does he think he is?? He is so annoying, so very annoying, why does he always have to ruin a nice moment??" asked Wura as she ranted to herself as she walked through the halls, she was just so annoyed, why would he just not tell her what he had planned, why did she have to find out everything with him the hard way??
Wura made a right at the corner and she walked out the Castle doors as she saw the Carriage and the coachman removing some bags from the carriage and she turned to look at who had just arrived and who she saw shocked her.
"Father??" asked Wura in utter shock as she rubbed her eyes and she tried to see if she was just seeing things, could she have been mistaken?? She had only seen the broad back of the man and his white hair, but she knew her father from a long distance away.
"My dear" said Lawrence as he turned to look at Wura and he smiled.
"Father, Father… oh father" said Wura as she felt tears drop from her eyes as she rushed to hug her father like a little girl and she did not even care at all.
"Oh Wura, my dear" said Lawrence as he hugged Wura back.
"I missed you father, oh I missed you" said Wura as she sniffed and she hugged her father tightly.
"Oh I missed you too my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled and Wura broke their hug.
"Oh mother" said Wura as she turned and she noticed her mother as she hugged her.
"Wura" said Ireti as she hugged Wura back and she smiled as Wura broke their hug.
"But what are you both doing here?" asked Wura as she looked at both of them in surprise, she still could not believe that she was actually seeing them right now, it felt like she was in a dream and she was about to wake up, but before Lawrence could say anything Liam suddenly appeared with a smile on his face.
"Ahh Good noon Duke and Duchess Scot" said Liam as he smiled and he walked to where Wura was talking with her parents.
"Good Noon your highness" said Ireti as she smiled.
"Good Noon your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Thank you once more for inviting us here" said Lawrence as he smiled at Liam with happiness.
"You do not have to thank me, we are family after all" said Liam as he smiled.
"You invited them?" asked Wura in surprise as she turned to look at Liam.
"Yes, I did" said Liam as he replied with a smile.
"Oh thank you, thank you your highness, thank you so much" said Wura as she suddenly hugged Liam without warning which caught him off guard, she had never hugged him before, but what he did just made her so happy, how did he know that she was longing to see her parents, it had been quite a while.
"You do not need to thank me at all… I knew that you would have wanted to see them" said Liam as he smiled and he hugged Wura back, Cornwalk was closer to the plains so he had decided to invite them here while they were still going to be In Cornwalk.
"Thank you your highness, thank you" said Wura as she smiled and she gave him a kiss on the cheek which surprised Liam a lot, he really did not expect that at all.
Lawrence smiled, he was happy that his daughter and the Prince were getting along well, because well if not, that would be another matter entirely, but he would be happy as long as his father was happy.
"Father, mother, please come in, let us go in" said Wura as she smiled.
"Alright my dear, let us" said Lawrence as he smiled and Ireti followed after him as Wura smiled and they all walked into the Castle, while Liam just stood there as he touched the side of his cheek, Wura kissed him, and not only did she kiss him, but she hugged him out of her own accord as well, it felt nice… he felt warm, he never knew that he could feel like this before… Wura was making him feel different, and he liked it, it was a good kind of different.
…
At dinner time.
"Oh father mother, I am so glad that you are both here, I missed you both so much" said Wura as she smiled, she sounded like a little girl, but she did not care, her parents were here.
"And we missed you as well dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Well his highness sent us a letter, and we decided to honour his invitation" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Although we will only be spending two days" said Ireti as she chimed in.
"Aww why mother??" asked Wura as she looked at Ireti, she wanted them to stay longer, only two days just too short.
"Well my dear, please understand we have some duties in the plains" said Lawrence as he explained.
"Oh well alright Father" said Wura as she smiled sadly, she knew that she was no longer a little girl, her parents had things to do.
"So how have you been enjoying Cornwalk?" asked Liam as he smiled and he tried to lighten the mood, he knew that Wura was not happy at all.
"Well Cornwalk has always been such a wonderful place" said Ireti as she smiled.
"Yes that is true your highness, Cornwalk is a very beautiful place, in all seasons" said Lawrence as he smiled and the others had a light conversation while Wura ate her food in silence as she just listened.
…
"Come in" said Wura as she heard a knock on her door as she was about to climb into bed.
"My dear" said Lawrence as he smiled and he walked into Wura's room.
"Oh Father, come in, come in, sit please" said Wura as she sat down on the couch and Lawrence came to sit down right next to her.
"Thank you my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"What brings you here father?" asked Wura as she smiled.
"Well I am here to talk to you my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Oh, and why is that Father?" asked Wura as she smiled.
"How are you doing my dear?" asked Lawrence as he smiled.
"Oh father" said Wura as she sighed and she rested her head on his shoulder, it was something she liked to do.
"I am fine, I really am fine" said Wura as she sighed.
"And his highness?" asked Lawrence as he smiled.
"How does he treat you?" asked Lawrence as he smiled.
"Father he treats me very well" said Wura as she looked at her father and she smiled.
"He always makes an effort to make me happy… and I really appreciate that" said Wura as she smiled, Lawrence could see a twinkle in her eye when she spoke about Liam.
"I am glad that he does my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Do you like him my dear?" asked Lawrence as he smiled, because it was obvious that Wura did not love him when she married him.
"Well of course I do father, he is a great Prince, a kind man, and most of all he has a good heart, so why would I not like him?" asked Wura as she smiled.
"You think highly of him my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Of course I do father, he has never made me have any reason to doubt him" said Wura as she smiled, she could tell her father anything and feel safe in his arms, he was her rock, if she was failing, she would run to him, and she really felt like she needed to talk to him for all this while.
"In the end my dear, all I want is your absolute happiness" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Yes… I know father" said Wura as she smiled.
"Well I must take my leave now my dear… your mother would be waiting for me" said Lawrence as Wura stopped resting on his shoulder.
"I understand father" said Wura as she laughed, she could not blame her mother, after all her mother always spoke of how close she and her father were.
"Goodnight my dear" said Lawrence as he gave Wura a kiss on her forehead.
"Goodnight Father" said Wura as she smiled.
"And tell mother I say Goodnight as well" said Wura as she smiled.
"I will my dear, sleep well" said Lawrence as he stood up and he smiled as he walked out of their room.
Wura smiled as she stood up from the couch and she climbed into bed, she was so happy, Liam had made her entire day today.
