"The Lady and the Man of the house have returned" said a maid as she announced the news to Wura, Tessa and Richard.
"That was quick" said Tessa as she laughed and she stood up, while Wura felt relieved that her parents had returned and now she did not have to worry, Wura felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders.
"I told you my dear, so do not worry" said Tessa as she smiled at Wura, and Wura smiled back, her Aunt was right.
"Let us go meet those two lovebirds" said Tessa as she laughed and Wura laughed too as she followed behind her Aunt, while Richard who did not laugh at all followed behind them, he was back to his usually quiet self.
"Reti!!!" said Tessa as she squaealed in excitement as she came out from the Dining room and she saw Ireti and Lawrence taking off their coats, she did not even wait till they were settled in before she went to greet them.
"Tessa" said Ireti as she smiled and looked up at her energetic sister in law, she could not say that she did not miss her, but she was happy that she got to rest for a while.
"Reti, I missed you" said Tessa as she smiled and she hugged Ireti.
"And so did I" said Ireti as she smiled and she returned the hug.
"How are you Tessa?" asked Ireti as she broke the hug.
"And how is the child?" she asked.
"I am good Reti" said Tessa.
"And the baby is kicking" said Tessa Joyfully.
"I am glad" said Ireti as she smiled.
"And how are you Reti?" asked Tessa
"I am well" replied Ireti.
"And how was your stay in the plains?" asked Tessa as she winked, she was insinuating something.
"It was as good as good can be" said Ireti as she did not say anything compromising, she knew her sister in law well enough to know that she could be as nosy as nosy could be and hence why she had learnt how to counter her words over the years.
"Ahhh I see, nothing else better than good?" asked Tessa as she winked.
"Tessa!" said Lawrence as his sister was getting out of hand right now, it made Ireti laugh, the way her husband tried to caution his little sister.
"Oh Brother, I missed you too" said Tessa as she did not look startled in any way.
Lawrence just sighed, his sister was too invested in her gossip that she did not even dally in already asking questions that should be discussed among women behind closed doors, and not here out in the open.
His sister really did not have any reservation against being so loose at all, she was one to tell others about proper etiquette and manners and yet here she was doing the exact opposite.
"Mhmm" said Lawrence as he replied, he had not even returned for more than five minutes and his sister was already back to all her antics.
"Do not tell me that you are upset with me?" asked Tessa as she frowned, she could tell when Lawrence was upset with her, and she did not like it at all.
"Oh brother do not be upset with me, I am sorry" said Tessa as she did not even know what she was apologizing for in the first place, as far as she knew all she did was to greet her sister in law, there was nothing more and nothing less.
"Please forgive me if I did anything to upset you" she said as she hugged Lawrence, but her hug was a bit weird considering her growing tummy.
Lawrence sighed, he was not upset with her, he could never be upset with her, she would forever be his younger sister and nothing could change that.
"I am not upset with you Tessa" said Lawrence as he hugged her back.
"Thank you Brother" said Tessa as she smiled and she broke their hug.
"Mhmm" said Lawrence.
"Richard" said Lawrence as his eyes moved to Richard who was standing nearby, he made no effort to join the conversation at all.
"Lawrence" replied Richard.
There were no many words spoken between them, but they knew each knew what both of the meant.
Lawrence and Richard stopped looking at each other, and Lawrence looked ahead to see his beautiful daughter that he had missed dearly.
"Good Evening Mother" said Wura as she stepped forward and she greeted her mother with a smile.
"Good Evening Wura" said Ireti as she smiled and Wura came forward to hug her, she had missed her mother, and Ireti had missed her too, even though she did not show it.
"Good Evening Father" said Wura as she stopped hugging her mother and she moved to her father.
"Good Evening my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"I missed you father" said Wura as she hugged Lawrence tightly.
"And so did I my Wura" said Lawrence as he hugged her too.
"Father, mother about what I wrote in the letter I sent you" said Wura as she wanted to start explaining why she wrote that letter and what was actually happening.
"Not now my dear" said Lawrence as he cut Wura off.
"But" said Wura
"But nothing" said Lawrence
"It Is already late" he said.
"So, we will discuss the matter on ground in the morning" said Lawrence.
"Okay?" asked Lawrence.
"Alright Father" said Wura as her father gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Thank you My dear" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Well now that everyone is here, and we are all done with the greetings" said Tessa as she spoke up.
"Let us all have dinner together" said Tessa
"I do not see why not" said Ireti.
"May I be excused?" asked Wura.
"I already ate, and I am feeling a bit tired" said Wura.
"Of course my dear go ahead" said Lawrence and Tessa in a chorus.
"You may be excused" said Ireti.
"Thank you Mother, thank you Father, Thank you Aunt Tessa" said Wura.
"You are welcome my dear" said Tessa as she smiled.
"Goodnight everyone" said Wura as she walked upstairs to her room.
"Goodnight my dear" said Lawrence as he looked at Wura go to her room.
"She must be really tired" said Tessa as she sighed.
"Anyhow, let us continue our dinner plans" said Tessa as she turned to Lawrence and Ireti and smiled.
"Let us go Reti, you will sit right next to me" said Tessa as she laughed happily.
"Okay Tessa" said Ireti as she laughed.
