In a Land Far far away, where the Magic realm is separated from the Human realm by an invisible border, one Human Kingdom Thrives.
Wyverdale a land full of Flowers, Music and food, everyone is Happy and treated equally, they are ruled by a Monarchy and everyone loves the King, they are all his Loyal Subjects and would gladly give their Lives for him.
But something was different today...Today was the beginning of a Festival, a Festival for the Sole Heir and Crowned Prince of the Kingdom.
The Festival of Virgins it was a coming of age Festival to celebrate the Prince as he is now a man, but due to him being out for war, his celebration was delayed for 5 years.
Now the Crowned Prince had come back victorious at the age of 23 and the time has come for him to find a wife, a faithful woman that will rule the Kingdom with him, when his Father steps down as King.
"My Gosh have you heard that the Crowned Prince is back??" asked one young Lady that was washing clothes on a scrubbing board in an iron tub, she seemed to be in a daze
"Oh yes i have, everyone in the Kingdom has heard it" replied another Young Lady as she dried the clothes she was washing in a Mangle it made a squeaking sound as she turned the rollers.
"Oooh if only the Prince would come and take me now, I would not have to do any of this washing" said the Other Lady that was washing
"Oooh Charlotte Just keep dreaming, like it would ever happen" said the Other Lady
"Well excuse me, a girl can do nothing but dream" replied Charlotte
"Yes and that's why it's called dreaming" replied the Lady
"Oh Hush" said Charlotte
Meanwhile in the Town
Everywhere was busy especially with the Planning of the Festival, people were buying meat, decorations and sweet smelling perfumes for their Virgins, that all had an equal chance of being chosen by the Prince.
The Town's streets were decorated with banners and ribbons of Purple, Yellow and Red that represented the Kingdom's Flags hanged everywhere, in ever corner there was a little Fire Pit where Passerby's would come to warm up since it was Winter.
The Festival was not usually held in Winter, but rather in Summer or Spring, but the King was so elated at the coming home of his only son, that he forsook the usual Tradition and declared that the Festival be held immediately.
Each Family that had Virgin maidens were all eligible to participate in the Festival.
The Families of the Maidens would drop off their daughters at the Castle and each Maiden would receive special treatment from the keeper of the women, the would all go through 3 days of purifying where they would be bathed with sweet smelling oils and flowers.
After their Purifying each maiden would be sent to the Prince's room one by one.
When in the Prince's room it's up to them to catch the eye of the Prince, once each Maiden has done all they can, it's all the Prince's final decision of who will be his Queen.
This Festival was every young maiden's dream, who would not want to be Queen and also Wife to a Handsome Prince?
Any Maiden that was not excited about this Festival was considered the equivalent to Mad
But then again, some people are just completely Different
