The next morning Amara was woken up by her phone ringing, it was ringing for the 8th time now and she was only hearing it now. She lazily moved her hand around the bed to find her phone and then she picked it up, answering the call and then she put the phone over her ear. "Hello." She said in a sleepy voice. "Finally you've decided to answer your phone. What happened to you calling me when you get to the house?" Ian asked. "OH sorry I forgot, I guess I was just too exhausted." She said. "Okay fine. But you have to make sure that you call me at least two times a day." Ian said. "Why?" Amara asked. She didn't see the need to call him everyday. "So that I coukd know that you are safe." Ian said. "There is no need for me call you everyday, I will only call you when it's important for me to call you. And besides if something bad happens I'll inform if I can't I'm sure that one the Carlos will inform you." Amara said. As much as she missed him she didn't want him to be there in her daily life, she just wanted at least one day without his name popping out of anywhere."But I do have to know." Ian said. "Why because I'm carrying your child? Ian this is my child too you know, and I'll tell you the check ups go and I'll send you pictures if that's what you want don't worry I won't let you miss the check ups." Amara said. "Okay if that is what you want then." Ian said sighing. "Okay I'm hanging up now." She said. "Alright bye." Ian said and Ian hung up the phone. She sat up from the bed sighing hard. She did not want to be rude to him, but she knew better not to let herself be kind and soft to him because of the feelings that she had for him. She wanted to be cold to him, not weak. She thought that maybe if she didn't act according to her feelings then things will go well for her and Ian won't see her as a weak person that only acts according to their feelings. She got up from the bed and then she went into the bathroom to take a bath.
After taking a bath and dressing up she went out of the room walking down the stairs she was greeted by Carlos. " bonjour mademoiselle" Carlos said, with a smile on his face. "Morning Carlos." Amara said. "Breakfast is ready, come and eat." He said. "Okay." Amara responded. Then Carlos led her to the dining hall, which was well... Much bigger than the one in the Royce mansion in Columbia. Carlos pulled out a chair for her and she sat down. He put the food in front if her. "Doctor Moulin will be coming over today for your first session." Carlos said. "Who is that?" Amara asked. "She is your therapist." He said. "OH, okay...i didn't expect for my therapy sessions to start so soon." Amara said. "Well Mr Royce said that it would be better if the started sooner rather than later so that you can heal quicker." He said. "It doesn't matter when I start my sessions, me healing faster does not depend on that. I can start early but still take years to heal. It depends on how much damage your Mr Royce has done to me mentally and emotionally." Amara said. Carlos sighed. "Look I know that what he did was beyond wrong, and that nothing he says will make up for what he did to you. Sometimes therapy doesn't work but it's worth the try." Carlos said. "The problem is you guys don't understand what I'm going through, you act like you understand but you don't and you don't care either." Amara said. "I do understand. My twin sister was raped multiple times by the same man and he left her pregnant. She started having nightmares every night, we tried to get help for her, but nothing we did or found seemed to help her and the worst part about it all is that she knew that the man who raped her was walking on the streets freely and he even called her every once in a while. That's why she never even went out because she knew that he was watching her. "Carlos said."And the child?"Amara asked him."After giving birth she gave the child up for adoption because the child looked exactly like that man and it only tormented her even more." He said. "Wow that's... And I thought my situation was worse. Well Carlos is there a way I can see her, I mean it would be much better if I find someone who has been through the same thing that I've been through and it would help her too, knowing that she is not alone in this and I'll try to help her if I could. "Amara said."I'm afraid that won't be possible."He said."Why?"Amara asked him."Because she committed suicide last month." He said. "OH, sorry." Amara said not knowing what else to say. "The reason why I agreed to be your butler was to find a way to help you get through all this, because I might not know the pain that you feel right now but I understand it and I don't want you to suffer like she did. I want you to live happily not die." He said."Thank you Carlos, I really appreciate it."Amara said."Okay, just eat your breakfast now, your therapist will be here at noon." He said. "Okay." Amara said and Carlos walked away. She sighed looking at the food, she had lost her appetite now. But at least she was relieved knowing that someone was there for her, but she knew that she couldn't fully trust Carlos because just like the others he is working for Ian so trusting him fully is a unwise decision. She decided to eat anyway because she needed some energy and she has to take care of herself now that she is pregnant. But the question that she kept asking herself was if she wants this child or not. Or if she was just keeping it for the sake of who knows what. Sometimes it made her wonder what her life would be like if Ian hadn't interfered in it,or if she hadn't associated herself with the wrong people. It made her think about what Ian had told her about her father, when he told her the story she chose to believe it, but now she was starting to doubt it because Ian didn't show her any evidence of everything being true and wouldn't his father know about her if he knew her father. There was just a lot going right now, Amara needed answers to all of her questions before her mind explodes. She had been thinking of possible answers to her questions but non of them made any sense. Maybe one day everything will come to light and all her questions will be answered.
