It was 9am, Ian was sitting outside remembering the conversation that he had with Amara's dad before he came to Amara's home. "Good morning Mr Royce." Amara's father said bowing his head as if talking to a deity. "Johnathan.... Long time no see, so how has prison been treating you." He said with a smirk on his face. "It is not bad sir." He said looking down, the only thing that came into his mind was how his little girl would feel, if she saw him bowing down to a kid that was around his daughter's age. "You do remember what you owe me, right. Forget about paying me what you owe me, I've found something else that you can pay me with.... Your daughter." He said, looking at Johnathan. "What... Sir... Don't.... I don't think there is a need to involve my little girl in this, please I'm begging you don't involve my baby girl in this, it has nothing to do with her, I'm the one you have a problem with.... "He said with tears falling from his eyes. He knew what Ian was capable of so he didn't want to drag Amara into all of this."I'm not asking you I'm telling you..... Besides you can't protect her, there are a lot of scavengers out there that are after your daughter and some of them went as far as killing your wife, so let's make this simple offer your daughter to me and I'll keep her safe and make sure that you're safe too... But if she does anything stupid you'll pay the price for it, and if you do anything stupid she'll pay the price for it. " He said looking deep into his eyes." So you know who killed my wife.... Please tell me who did it, please. " He said." I'm the only one who gets to ask questions here, and as for your wife's killer you find that person on your own I'm not helping you on that. I'm leaving now, I'll be taking your daughter with me first thing in the morning, don't worry I won't tell her about what you owe me. "He said standing up from where he was seated, he left not even wanting to here his response. But he could hear him begging him not to involve his daughter in all this mess, but he just walked away like he couldn't hear a single word he was saying.
He sighed looking at himself in the mirror, he was wearing a cream white paisley tuxedo. Today was the day, he was getting married for the 4th time in his life. "Master, are you done yet" His butler asked from the other side of the door. "No... Just give me a few minutes, is she done yet." He asked. "Well... I'm not sure, but she has picked a dress already." He said. "Alright, just wait for me in the living room." He said. "Okay." He said and he left.
On the other hand, Amara was sitting down on 'her' bed, her mind was racing with thoughts, she had not yet worn her dress yet but her make up had already been done by a woman she did not know . She had never imagined herself getting married like this, no family, no friends. She always dreamed of getting married to the man of her dreams and having her dream wedding, but maybe some dreams were not meant to be fulfilled. A wedding day is supposed to be the happiest moment of a woman's life, but for her, it wasn't. "Miss it's time to leave." A woman said from the other side of the door. "Uhm... Just give me a few minutes." She said standing up from where she was seated and she started getting dressed and it took her 30 minutes to get fully dressed. She looked at herself in the mirror, she looked like a princess but an unhappy one. She was wearing a white backless mermaid dress with a v-neck and white sparkling heels. She walked out of her room heading towards the living room, she found Ian sitting on the couch. He had already lost his patience. "What took you so long to get dressed." He said in an annoyed tone. "Uhm... I was just having trouble with the vail that's all." She said looking down hoping that he wouldn't be angry at her forever. "This better be the last time I have to wait for you, for this long. Did. I. Make. Myself. Clear." He said, standing up from the couch and heading to the black limo that was waiting outside, Amara followed behind him. They got in the car, and the driver started driving." Are there going to be any guests. "Amara asked, hoping that maybe he would tell her that her grandparents, uncles and aunts were going to be there." No. "He said." Not even your family"She asked. "That's non of your business." He said in a harsh tone. "Amara was a little shocked by his response because it's not like she asked him a wrong question. Amara decided that it was best if she kept quiet because she did not want to make him angrier than he was.
They arrived at the venue after hours. Ian got out of the car first and he went inside. Amara sat in the car, she wanted to cry but she held her tears back, she told herself that she would get through this no matter what. She got out of the heading inside, one of the bodyguards opened the door for her, she looked up and the place was beautiful, but the empty chairs ruined the look, she thought that maybe this beauty would be filled with people, she saw Ian standing there with, his face was just expressionless, there was a pastor behind him, she took a deep breath and she walked towards them. She stood in front of Ian, she didn't want to look at his eyes because she didn't want him to see the look that she had on her face. The pastor started talking but Amara didn't hear him because her mind was all over the place. After a few minutes she felt Ian squeezing her hand, she looked up at him. He looked at her as if waiting for an answer, she what he wanted her to say, but she hadn't mentally prepared herself for it. She looked at the pastor and she looked at the empty chairs as if looking for someone to save her, but nobody was there to save her, or stop her from saying those two words, that would change her life forever not for the better but for the worse. "I... I do." She said. She saw him smile. "I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride." The pastor said. She didn't want it. She felt him lifting the vail up from her face and she felt his cold and soft hand on her chick, she shivered, she could feel him getting closer and closer to her face, and finally she felt his lips, they were soft but she did not enjoy the kiss because it was not filled with love and happiness, it was filled with nothing just nothing. She couldn't help but cry. This was not what she wanted nor was it what she had dreamed of. She did not want to get married without her family around. She wanted her daddy to walk her down the Isle. She wanted to see that smile on her mother's face, she wanted to dance with her father, she wanted to happily say 'I do', she wanted it to be the happiest day of her life, but instead she didn't get what she had dreamed of, instead her life had become a nightmare and it was just the biggining of this terrible nightmare.
