Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

"Kitten if you don't mind, I would like to go shopping with my new daughter in law, and I also have to buy her some gifts too." Lacey said chopping her steak. They were all now in the dining room eating lunch, Amara had finally calmed down, she didn't know why she cried like that she thought that she could be able to control her emotions and act according to how Ian wanted her to act, to pretent to be happy, to pretend to be in love with her husband, but that's easier said than done, she couldn't wait to go back to 'her room', she didn't know for how long she would be able to keep calm as long as she was around Lacey. There was just something about Lacey that made her emotional, that made her feel welcomed and safe. "As long as you won't be gone for a long time then it's fine by me." Ian said, he d want his mother to get a hint of what was actually happening here. "Sabrina, is it okay with you." Lacey asked. Is it okay with her. Amara asked herself that question but she didn't know if she wanted to go out, but she needed some fresh air and at the same time she was afraid of bumping into someone who knew her and they end up calling her by her real name. She knew that if Lacey found out then Ian would blame her and punish her, and he might hurt her dad. "Uhm... I don't think...." Before she could finish her sentence Ian interrupted her. "It's okay you can go, there's nothing to worry about, you'll be safe." He said looking into her eyes. She nodded her head"Okay, I'll go. "She said, taking a deep breath. "Trust me honey we are going to have a good time." Lacey said, with a squeaky voice. "Can I please come with you guys, I don't want to miss out on the fun." The girl that was sitting next to Lacey said, she was Ian's youngest sister her name was Dorothy, she loved dancing and painting but her parents wanted her to be on the business field so that she can become a successful business women, like her brother and father but that's not what she wants to do, that's not something in her blood but her parents just won't stop telling her about how important this is to them. Sometimes she wished that they would understand how important her talent is to her. "Of course honey you can come, I wouldn't leace you here with this two idiots." She said pointing her fingers at her husband and her son. They both exchanged looks, 'Idiots' Is that what she really thinks they are, 'idiots' They both asked themselves the same question.

After 30 minutes the three of them left and Ian and his father remained behind. (They were both thankful that Lacey decided to spare their credit card this time). Ian threw himself on the couch taking the remote and switching on the TV. "So, son is there something you are not telling me." Ian's dad asked. "Is there something you want to hear?" Ian asked giving his dad a sharp look. "I know that you are hiding something from me, actually from all of us, so just tell me." He said sitting down next to Ian. "What exactly do you want from me dad?" Ian asked. "The truth." His father said. "What truth?" Ian asked calmly. "The truth that you are hiding from us all." He said looking straight at Ian's eyes. "I'm not hiding anything from anyone." Ian said. "If you think that since you've managed to easily fool your mother and sister doesn't mean that you've managed to fool me too, so start talking young man." He said. "Fool you, what are you talking about. Dad are you on drugs again(his father once had a drug addiction because of his horrifying childhood)." Ian said looking at his father, he knew that he had struck a nerve his fafather didn't want to be reminded of his drug addiction that almost ruined his life. " And exactly why would I be on drugs, when I'm happy. Look kid, I wasn't born yesterday so tell me what I need to know." He said, taking a deep breath trying to keep calm. "There is nothing that you need to hear, old man." He said with a cocky smile plastered on his face. "You've got some balls huh. You and I both know that, Sabrina isn't happy with you, did you force her to marry you.." He asked. "What on earth makes you think that I forced her to marry me." Ian asked raising his eyebrow. "I saw it all in her eyes, her eyes are just blank they show no sadness, no anger, no happiness but emptyness and loneliness." He said. "Did she tell you that she is not happy with me or that I forced her to marry me." Ian asked. "I don't need her to tell me anything, her eyes tell the story." He said. "Don't you have anything better to do are you really that bored." He asked standing up from where he was seated, he didn't want to continue talking because he knew that someway or somehow his father would make him spill the beans. "OH, I almost fogort to tell you, I got a call from her today." He said. "Who?" His father asked confused. "The women that we locked up." He said. "What? Are you sure it was her, I mean there's no way she could have been able to contact you, unless...." He said. "Yep she's escaped and turns out she's somewhere in Columbia and she's looking for us, so yeah." Ian said sighing. "Do you have her exact location in Columbia." He asked. "Not yet, but I'll let you know if I find it." He said, this was something that they both weren't expecting to happen. "We shouldn't let her get near anyone especially Lacey and Dorothy." He said. "Yeah." Ian said. "Hold on, don't think I've forgotten, you still have something to tell me young man, don't even think of walking away from me, hey, hey, where do you think you're going. Get back here!" He shouted but Ian kept walking away. He was determined to make Ian tell him the truth, no matter what it takes
