Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

A week later.

Ian and Amara stood at the doorway as they watched Ian's parents and sister walk towards the car and drive away. It was hard for Amara to see them leave because they were the only people that made her feel at peace and made her feel at home and surrounded by love. She knew that them leaving meant that her happy days were over because Ian was far from nice to her. She watched their car disappearing into the woods until she could no longer see it. She looked down and she turned around to walk away but Ian stopped her. "Where do you think you're going." He asked, the sweet and innocent smile that he had when his parents were here was now gone and was now replaced by a sinister smile. "I... I'm going to rest, I'm a little tired." She said. "Did I tell you to go." He asked. "Since when do I have to ask permission from you to go and lie down" She asked. "Excuse me?" He asked raising his eyebrow. It wasn't the first time she had talked to him like this but it still annoyed him. She took a deep breath, she wanted to give him a befitting answer but decided not to, she knew better not to piss him off(But she did not care anymore, she was just not in the mood to argue with him or being hurt by him). "May I please go and lie down." She said. "Yes but under one condition." He walked closer to her and he looked at her body from head to toe and then he bit his bottom lip, he put his hand on her waist and he pulled her closer to him. "There's a party that I have to attend tomorrow night and everyone is looking forward to meeting my new wife Sabrina." He said. "So you want me to come." She asked, she couldn't wait for him to get his hands off her because if he didn't then she would lose it. "Yes, don't worry about the outfit I've already prepared it for you." He said. "And what if I refuse." She said. "If you refuse then...."He looked up as if thinking of something to say. "Nothing? Then no I'm not going anywhere." She said looking at his eyes as I'd searching for something. "Really, I'm not asking you to accompany me I'm telling you to do it. So you don't have a choice." He said. Amara kept quiet not knowing what to say to him. She knew that there was no use in continuing to refuse because he would just drag her to the party if she said no.

The next morning Amara woke up to the sound of birds on the window, there was no sunshine today the sky was filled with clouds it looked as though it was going to rain, she turned over and looked at the handsome man that was sleeping on the right side of the bed. He was sleeping so peacefully, his face looked so innocent, his face looked like one of those faces you would want to wake up to every single morning. The blanket was only covering his body up to his waist, his skin looked soft and pale. He looked like an angel but unfortunately he was a demon in an angel mask. If only he was a good man with a good heart, she wouldn't mind waking up next to him every single day. 'Why did such a perfect man have to be a monster' Amara asked herself in her head. She sighed and then she sat up and she stretched her body, she got up from the bed and she walked into the bathroom and she took a shower after taking a shower. She got out of the bathroom and she went to the closet and she found herself a blue strapless T-shirt and some black shorts after that she went downstairs for breakfast and as always breakfast was already on the table. She pulled out a chair and she sat down eating after twenty minutes Ian walked down. And he sat down next to her serving himself some food and he ate. And he was oddly quiet today, maybe he was in a bad mood, she continued eating her food. She did not want to know what it is that was bothering him, it's not like she cared anyway. She got up after eating and she walked upstairs, she liked the fact that he was quiet, if something bad had happened to him or his loved one then he deserved it. She walked back into the room and his iPad was on. She decided to look at what was in it maybe some top secret information that would help her. She took it and age went straight to check who he was texting and what she found shocked her. It was something unexpected, something that she had never even dreamed of happening, something that shattered her, she read the text messages again and again and they didn't change. It was messages between Ian and one of his employees. SIR MR SMITH IS DEAD, HE WAS BRUTTALY KILLED BY ONE OF HIS INMATES, WE ARE STILL TRYING TO FIND OUT WHO IT WAS BECAUSE HE HAD THREE INMATES, WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED. Amara threw the iPad on the wall she did not want to read any further. She was already boiling up, she hated Ian even more now. She started throwing things around "No! No!" She screamed, Ian heard the noises from downstairs so he rushed to the room and he opened the door, he found Amara throwing and kicking things around, she was screaming and crying, her eyes were filled with rage, hatred, sadness and disbelief. Her father, her hero, he inspiration was gone. In her head there was only one person at fault and it was Ian. "What's going on in here." Ian said and Amara saw him and she threw the vase that she was holding in her right hand at him. She wanted to kill this man. "Hey... What's wrong with you." Ian asked, he thought that she was possessed or something. "You monster, you killed my father, you killed my father and now I'm going to end you life!!" She screamed at him and she started throwing objects at him. "Look I didn't do, I don't even know who did it okay." He said. He wasn't lying he really had nothing to do with his death(Good luck in making Amara believe you). "I hate you! You're the worst creation that has ever stepped foot into this planet." She had completely lost it. Ian's guards came in and they injected her with a substance that put her to sleep immediately. "Master are you okay." His butler asked in a worried voice. "Yes I'm fine." He said looking at the sleeping Amara. Now she hates him more that anything. 'I should be happy now that she hates me, that's all I ever wanted.' He told himself but hus heart was saying the opposite, instead of being happy he was feeling something else, a feeling that even himself alone could not understand. 'Why, why am I feeling like this?' He asked himself but he got no answer. "Wade, tell the driver to get the car ready and keep an eye on her while I'm gone." He said. Without any questions he did as he was told to do. Ian was determined to find the person who killed Amara' s dad, but why is he concerned about his death. Shouldn't he be happy? Shouldn't his death be good news for him? Isn't that what he always wanted to make him and his daughter suffer? Maybe he was feeling like this because he wasn't done tormenting them. Yes maybe that's the reason, he told himself. But oh well you never know what the future has in store for you, but Ian told himself that he knew what his future was going to be like. To him it was going to be a future where people worship him, a future where he's the only man at the top of the mountain, a future where people beg him for everything, a future where all his enemies and the people that made him suffer are at their worst. A future where everyone do his bidding, a future where he will claim this world as his. The car drove him to the station. He took a deep breath. He sat in the car wondering if he should go in and confirm if Amara's father was really gone or not. So what if he was dead, his death meant nothing to him, right? He telling himself that, but some way or somehow his heart was telling a different story. What was happening to him? Why was he suddenly feeling bad for this man and his daughter, he hated him right, he liked the fact that his daughter hated him now right?
