Chapter 43 - Inscription Gun 2

"Your highness, what are you creating." Old James asked in awe.

Old James and Al Casendra stood inside a big workshop with a lot of furnaces and forging materials. Al Casendra called it factory.

Al Casendra wrote on the board beside him. "I want you to forge this, according to the drawing and measurement. Hence, I will inscribe a rune on the mold."

Reading the rows of words on the board and the bizarre drawing before him. Old James was totally confused. But then his brain jotted and he blinked.

"Your highness, what do you mean by inscribe rune on the mold—" he gasped.

"D-Don't tell me you've known how to…how to… inscribe rune." He stuttered, trembling in shock.

"Yes. And please get going, I don't have all day." Al Casendra wrote on the board casually.

It took Old James a couple of seconds for him to recover from his initial shock. He swallowed the lump in his throat and stared at Al Casendra with various conflicted thought. 'How?'

He tried to learn runes for a couple of years but he couldn't wrap his head about the intricacy of runes. But Al Casendra learn it in a couple without the guardian of teacher or mentor.

'This scary.'

Old James began to work on the design, forging a different part of the strange drawing. The complication of the design gave Old James a few headaches at first before he found a way round it.

Each part of the design needed a different type of mold where Al Casendra inscribe a rune different type of runes. Though they are all basic runes. It would serve it function.

After four hours of working unceasingly, the design was completed and a rare smile appeared on Al Casendra face. He looked at the black metal in front of him with a glowing eyes.

'Though, we had a few failures. I hope you will give me a surprise.' He thought.

"Your highness, what this and what is the function." Old James wiped off the sweats from his bald head and squinted his gaze.

"To kill" Al Casendra wrote on the board and picked the weapon with the numerous magazines.

He gestured his hand for Old James to follow him.

At the testing ground, Old James stood a couple of steps from Al Casendra, wondering what the steel pole would do.

Al Casendra didn't bat an eyes on Old James. His heart was racing with anticipation. He loaded the gun, point toward the 20-meter metal dummy, and took a deep breath.

"What's he doing." Old James tilt his head and wondered. "Perhaps, he wanted to cast a spell."

Al Casendra released the triggered and.

Bang!

Old James froze, not daring to breath. His eyes rolled in their socket, and he turned his slowly toward the metal dummy. 'Holy Molly.'

His heart missed a beat and his blood runs cold. He shivered.

Hahaha

Al Casendra laughed hysterically. He looked at the weapon in his hand, smiled, nodding his head.

'Let see how those motherfuckers dared threaten me.' He approached the metal dummy in a large stride.

Reaching the metal dummy, a hole appeared at the chest of the dummy, which also went through it back. The dummy was sent flying 50 meters backward.

"W-What type of weapon is this." Old James stuttered.

Al Casendra was a bit shocked by the power of the gun. 'This is really a surprise. I didn't expect my first gun would have fives times power of my previous life assault rifle.' He mused, thinking for a bit.

'Now I get it. That's the effect of the inscription. Besides, the rebound force was minuscule.'

'Hmm, I'm loving this inscription. I want to see how far magic and science would take me in this life.'

Coming out of his thought, Al Casendra looked at Old James and smiled. He left the testing ground, leaving Old James confused. Quickly, he dashed after Al Casendra.

'That weapon is out of this world.' His blood boiled.

Inside his study, Al Casendra make himself a cup of tea and sipped with a satisfying smile on his face.

His ear perked, and Old James rushed inside, fixing his gaze on Al Casendra.

"Your highness, please teach me how to forge that heavenly weapon." He cried with tears rimming to come down from his eyes.

Before going to the test area, Al Casendra had instructed some guard to packed all the tool used in making the weapon back to his study. No one could create the weapon except from him.

Though old James forge the weapon, he didn't know how to recreate the various part without Al Casendra blueprint.

Looking at the nears tears old man, he shook his head and gave him a scroll. Quickly, Old James unfold the scroll and read the content. Various conflicting expression appeared on his face, at the end he let out a deep sigh.

"Your highness. My loyalty is to you only in this life." He vowed.

Al Casendra nodded. He knew old James was a man of loyalty, else he won't be in Long-Fall pass. He gave him another. Reading the scroll, a smile bloom on Old James face, and he walked out of the study with a wild smile.

'Now, with the gun in hands. My city is safe for the time being.'

'I've been stuck in rank 7 novice mage for a while and Snow is complaining. I can't delay anymore.'

'Now, I need to train my body'
