Chereads / Supremacy of the Beast King / Chapter 21 - Legend

Chapter 21 - Legend

A giant serpent appeared at the back of the monster beast and cried loudly. Everyone on the wall held their breath, with their heart in their mouth. Al Casendra couldn't breathe, and perspiration dripped from his forehead. A few seconds later, the giant serpent had disappeared. At once, those beasts rushing forward halted for a moment before they turned back and dashed toward the forest.

At the top of the city wall, everyone held their breath, their heart raced and their eyes brightened. Is it what we are thinking? Their ears perk straight while the resounding thuds of the beast began to lessen. After a couple of minutes, the sound of the monster beasts disappeared, leaving a thick, quiet smoke on the field.

Al Casendra exhaled his pent hold air. He turned around and gave the dumbfounded Sir John parchment, leaving with his back straight, both hands behind his back. 'Is my pose charming enough?'

He thought deeply in his heart, while on his face was a cold expression. All the people on the wall stared at the young man in blue with their mouths ajar. Their eyes filled with adoration and reverence.

'He did it!'

It took the people a couple of minutes to recover from their initial shock. However, they couldn't stop their trembling hands. Not because of fear, but extreme happiness. No one expected the war with their ash rival would end up with them lifting a hand to kill them and obtain a total victory.

Who fought a battle like this.

Only the prince can do something miraculous like this. Various thoughts shot into the minds of those on the wall while they stared at the death tunnel in shock. How many beasts died down there. No one can say. But it was definitely huge.

Hmm!

Roy clears his throat and looked at Sir John. 'Are we going to stay here all day like fools?'

Sir John recovered from his daze and blinked his eyes, and cleared his throat. He soothed his long beard and looked at the men on the wall with an arrogant smile. 'Humph! Those old fools think the prince would be my end. Hahaha. I can't imagine their face when they realized the prince has a magic element and was also exceptionally brilliant. Oops. I can't let them know yet.'

He chuckled in his mind. 'I need to get drunk and get laid. *cough* *cough* sleep soundly tonight.'

Everyone looked at the wild smile on Sir John's face and wondered what the hell was he thinking. However, no one dared to interrupt him. Besides, they were happy to wait.

After a few seconds, Sir John recovered from his thought and detected various eyes on him, creasing his brow he thought 'I shouldn't spoil my prestige in front of this maggot.'

"Listen, you lot." He began, raising his pitch to the highest. "As the prince has promised. He had delivered us from our long-life enemy." He paused and looked at the countenance of those around him. "Now, hear his highness command."

The city of Long-Fall Pass was in an uproar when they discovered the beasts had been chased and killed in the death tunnel. Old and young people danced amid the street of Long-Fall Pass, lighten up Lantern in respect of the highest. Unknown to them, this simple act of happiness will become a legend in the future. Not just in Long-Fall, but the entire world.

For the next couple of days, the festive activity continued. All the families came to the Prince's manor to show their appreciation. They were once fugitives or chased by some people or organization. Long-Fall pass was their last hope. Anyone who come to Long-Fall pass was deemed a living corpse. Sooner or later they would die.

Inside a spacious room, a group of old and young people sat with a smile and a little fear in their eyes. They looked at the magnificent seat at the top in awe. While they were in their thought, a sudden announcement came from the entrance.

"His highness has arrived." A middle-aged man shouted happily.

Thud!

Tens of feet resounded in the spacious room, creating a light vibration. At once, everyone in the room was on their feet, raising their head high and holding their breath. The room was in total silence. Creak! The door opened, and a breeze blew into the room.

A light footstep echoed from the entrance, creating a little tap on the glistering floor. Al Casendra in his blue robe and shoulder-length hair and blue eyes walked into the room. His step was neither too fast nor too slow. Everything seems perfect for the people in the room. Just then, an old man in a black robe followed after him, soothing his beard with a satisfying smile.

Al Casendra sat and raised his hand. At once, everyone took their seat. All eyes were on the young man who sat on the magnificent seat. No! A throne. Sir John stood behind his right side, puffing his chest. After a couple of seconds, Al Casendra tapped the handle of the chair.

The sound resounded throughout the spacious room. Sir John cleared his throat and brought out a big scroll and began to read. Everyone listened in rapt attention, and when Sir John finished reading the scroll. A slight frown appeared on the face of some people.

"Thank you for your guidance. We will all abide by the law." Millie Connor stood and bowed.

"Good. You've all heard the law of Long-Fall Pass. No one is above the law. Sir John added with no smile on his face.

"Now, listen to your post based on your capabilities and merits. When you hear your name, come fort and receive your identity token and stamp."

Immediately, Roy and Lily entered the spacious room, carrying a wooden box in their hands. Everyone could detect how serious these things were to the prince. And wondered why would the prince go to such length.
