The next couple of days in Long-Fall Pass were hectic. The few hundred people in the city were busied. Tens of people were busy carrying the dead beast from the death tunnel to the city for processing, while some men and older women processed the beast and send the various parts to different department.
At the center of a training field, a young man and a middle-aged man stood a couple of meters from each other, holding a wooden sword. The middle-aged man had a light smile on his face, while the young man face was devoid of any emotion. His chest going up and down slight with bead of sweats on his forehead.
"Your highness. Why did you insist on training your body and in the sword path." Sir John couldn't understand the train of thought of this young man at all. 'His highness will turn me crazy with all his strange behaviors.'
Whoosh!
The young man dashed toward Sir John without saying a word. Sir John creased his brow. 'Since you won't stop from going on the wrong path. I will beat the thought out of you' He changed his stance and held his sword with both hands.
Clang!
The two weapon hit each other and Al Casendra attacked Sir John from various angle. However, Sir John only took a step backward and deflected his attack. Al Casendra didn't change his expression. He changed and went for all the vital spots on Sir John's body.
'I guess you are getting ahead of yourself.' Sir John snickered. He changed his stance once again and switch from defense to attacking.
Hmm!
Al Casendra took a couple of steps backward with his hand trembling slightly. But he quickly got hold of himself and his sword upward above his head to defend from the dangerous attack. He groaned, taking another step backward.
The force of the attack was not something he could withstand without taking a step backward. Sir John rained attack upon attack on him. He wanted to defend, but Sir John attack was just too fast for his reflex.
Hmm!
Al Casendra groaned and stumbled. "You're dead. But I guess you won't surrender." Sir John announced, rushing toward him with another attack.
Pa! Pa! Pa!
After a couple of minutes, Al Casendra was on the grass panting. He had beads of sweat dripping from his forehead, while the leather training suit stuck to his body like a second skin. He licked the red liquid at the corner of his mouth.
Al Casendra wanted to stand, but his muscle ached. He groaned and fell back on the grass. Sir John looked at him and chuckled. He saw Al Casendra looking at him. He averted his eyes and looked at the exit.
"Your highness, I need to run. I have a lot of work in my office." He bowed and scurried away.
'Damn you, Sir John.' He cursed in his heart. He turned his body and faced the sky. Hence, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Furthermore, he was just too tired to lift his body. After a couple of minutes, he regained a bit of strength and left the training field.
"Your highness, the three building had been renovated." Wendy bowed. She dared not looked at Al Casendra straight in the eyes. Roy had told her what happened the previous day, and she couldn't but trembled.
Al Casendra in a clean blue robe opened the book Wendy put on his table. After a couple of seconds, he closed the book and took an ink brush and a parchment. He wrote quickly and gave it to Wendy.
Wendy skimmed through the parchment and nodded. "I understand the administrative building and security building. But what is Science Department."
Al Casendra wrote on another parchment and gave her. She read the parchment and nodded.
"I will get it done." With that, she left the room in a large stride.
Pa! Pa!
Al Casendra tapped his wooden table twice, creating a crispy sound. A few seconds later, Lily rushed inside the room. She bowed her head. "I'm sorry for my lateness."
'Gush! It only a couple of seconds. Why would you need to apologize.' He thought, but he was just too lazy to write it down. He knew his silence gave people the wrong impression about him. But he didn't care.
He withdrew a parchment and gave her. Suddenly, a voice came from the outside. "Your highness. Old James is here." A middle-aged man announced.
Al Casendra waves his hand to Lily. Lily saw Al Casendra gesture and understood. "Let him enter." She responded.
Old James entered with beads of sweats on his face. He bowed to the prince and gave a slight nod to Lily. Al Casendra waves his hand and Lily left the room immediately. Old James quickly moved closer to Al Casendra with a proud smile on his face. He brought out a 4 inches fine rectangular plate steel.
On the green steel, was a drawing of many trees, depicting a forest. And at the back was a man with his weapon. Al Casendra studied the steel plate carefully, bringing it closer to his eyes. For a couple of minutes, the room remained in perfect silence.
Old James looked at Al Casendra with wide eyes. 'Is it not perfect enough.' The smile on his face disappeared. He rubbed his palm together, taking a deep breath.
Suddenly, Al Casendra dropped the steel plate and took his ink brush and wrote on a parchment. He waved his hand, beckoning Old James to come closer.
Old took a large gulp and approached Al Casendra chair. Unknown to him, his back was already drenched in cold sweats. "Y-Your Highness. Let me stop here. Whatever you wanted to show me. I can see it from here." Old James said with a trembling voice.
Al Casendra raised his brow and looked at Old James for a moment before shrugging his shoulder. He pointed to a specific location on the steel plate and showed what he wrote on the parchment to Old James.
Old James furrowed his face as he studied where Al Casendra pointed at and study it for seconds, then he looked at what the prince wrote. Suddenly, his eyes brightened. He looked at the prince and nodded.
"I understand the mistake now. I will go and make the right correction."
Old James rubbed the sweats off his forehead and smiled. 'It seems the prince is not as scary as the rumor say.' He thought, increasing his pace.
Meanwhile, AL Casendra looked at the steel plate and a beautiful smile appeared on his lips.
'Now, with the issue of currency about to be solved. I can focus on strengthening my city. Father, your son is coming.'
