Chapter 23 - Long-Fall New Beginning

In the middle of a forest, a young man with a white beast was battling a long brown serpent with a red stripe. The red scale cobra was a powerful rank 1 monster beast. However, in front of this two, things are not going according to plan.

'Snow, you defend the attack. While I attack.' Al Casendra said through the telepathy link to Snow.'

Snow growled and her blue eyes glowed. She dashed toward the red scale cobra and opened her mouth. The red scale cobra hissed, raising its head and spreading it.

Whoosh!

A water attack came out of its mouth, going for Snow's head.

Growl! An ice attack came from Snow's mouth with an extreme speed. While Al Casendra held his sword with both hands, racing beside Snow.

Al Casendra jumped forward, twisting his body in the air, avoiding the two clashes of attack, and swinging his weapon. Two condensed ice attacks came out of his weapon, going straight for the red scale cobra neck.

Hiss!

The red scale cobra slithered backward and swung its powerful tail like a whip toward Al Casendra. He saw the dangerous attack while still in the air. His expression didn't change. Moreover, instead of him retreating. He swung his sword twice and rows of ice attacks shot toward the incoming tail.

Bang! Bang!

Enormous shock waves spread everywhere, sending trees flying. While the grasses in the surroundings were frozen. Al Casendra groaned and stumbled a couple of steps backward, his sword vibrating. Snow growled her white sharp canine teeth outside with her tongue. Her blue eyes were fixed on the red scale cobra.

The red scale cobra wriggled in pain, blood gushing out of its neck. It hissed loudly, its big eyes focused on Al Casendra and Snow. For a moment, the three didn't attack each other but looked at one another. Suddenly, the three made a move.

The red scale cobra eyes turned darker and its fangs outside. While Al Casendra and Snow prepared their attack. Al Casendra and Snow jumped forward, he swung his weapon while Snow swung her paw.

Boom!

Al Casendra's attack collided with the red scale cobra, but only weakened the snake attack. The attack continued but encountered Snow's attack. Her attack cut the cobra into two and continue forward to its target.

The red scale cobra flew backward, crashing into an enormous tree, blood gushing out from its body. The snake hissed and rolled its eyes toward its enemy.

However, another round of icy attacks was approaching it at an astonishing speed. It cried and tried to slither away. However, its injury and enormous body make it impossible to dodge the attack.

Bang!

A clean sharp cut appeared at the belly of the snake. The attack almost cut the gigantic cobra into two. The red scale cobra made a loud cry and looked at the two devils before it fell at last. Al Casendra and Snow walked with casual steps and approached the serpent. They stopped a couple of feet from the serpent and looked at each other.

Swiss!

Snow dashed into the dead cobra and used its paw to dissect the body of the snake and fished out the beast's core. Snow, looked at Al Casendra and growled before swallowing the beast's core. Al Casendra shook his head. He knew how gluttonous Snow was. He sat and took a deep breath.

'Now, I'm a rank 6 novice mage.' A slight smile crept onto his lips. 'Sharing mana with Snow is quite slow. If I could find a way to cultivate. It would be better.' He twisted his lips and thought. 'I don't know the rank of those in the city. I guess I can't be far behind, right.'

Al Casendra sat inside his office and was lost in thought. A couple of ancient books are scattered on top of the table. 'Inscription and formation are still far from me. What I need now is to get my strength level up.'

Unknown to Al Casendra, his training speed would have caused an uproar if other people were to known. It was only a month after the awakening, and he was already at rank 6 novice stage. No one in the history of the kingdom has ever had such training speed.

Knock!

Al Casendra raised his brow and let out a turbid air. He tapped the table twice without looking at the door. Roy entered the room without looking at Al Casendra's face. He gave a slight bow and said.

"Your highness. Everyone is waiting for your presence."

Hmm!

Al Casendra nodded and waved his hand. Roy didn't dillydally, he left the room with a large stride. At the center of the city, a high podium was contrasted with guards surrounding it. All the people of Long-Fall gathered in front of the podium with smiles on their faces. It has been over a week since the battle with the beast. And since then, the beast are yet to attack again. And if the beast attacked, they were confident of defending the city.

"His Royal Highness is here." A middle-aged shouted with a wild smile on his face.

At once, the city center was quiet as a graveyard. Al Casendra rolled his eyes when he heard the man calling him his royal highness. 'You people are going to be the death of me. What fucking highness.' He shouted in his mind. However, his stoic expressions never changed.

He stepped onto the podium and all faces turned to his handsome face. Though he couldn't talk, the people knew how dangerous and brilliant the prince was. Besides, young girls and women were fantasying about being with the prince.

Al Casendra took a scroll out of his robe and gave it to Sir John. The eyes of the crowd brightened. Though they don't know what this gathering was all about. They knew it was something important.

Sir John Cleared his throat and unfolded the scroll. "I greet you, all my fellow citizens of Long-Fall Pass. Me, your prince Al Casendra is glad to usher you into a new era in this beautiful City." He paused and took a breath.

"We have been neglected, forgotten by the world. But know this, the Long-Fall people never forget each other. I promise to give you a better home, that you won't have to worry about anything for the rest of your life. Since the world has thrown us away. Then, we create our world. Which is Long-Fall Pass. Don't let other cities or people intimidate you. You're the Long-Fall Pass."

"Long-Fall won't be like other cities. Everyone has a chance for a better life. And for that…"

"There are many offices for you to inquire and work for to gain a better life. Remember, the ticket you have now represents you and Long-Fall Pass. Anywhere you see it. You see Long-Fall Pass and me. Lastly—"

"We will be different from them. Because we're different from them. I present you… our currency."
