Sir John's eyes brightened when he saw Millie Connor. "Simple. You know the mission. But I will tell you once again, The prince wants you all to dig a deep tunnel in front of the city gate. However, the prince realized some of you are selfish and didn't want to contribute to the development of this beautiful city. So, you can't enter the bunker.,"
'Why is the prince using this strategy to force the people to work? Sighed. I guess I can't know what on the prince's mind is like. ' A breath escaped from his mouth.
"Sir John, My family worked the hardest, digging the tunnel. Everyone can testify to it.," Millie Connor said confidently.
"I know." Sir John nodded. "You and your family entered the villa. The prince will mark your ticket.,"
A smile broadened Millie's face. 'I guess the prince is not trying to make life difficult for the people. Gush! I gambled on the prince. I was But why did he want us to dig such a deep tunnel? ' Millie twisted her lips with a thoughtful gaze.
Behind her were two young men and their wives, a boy and a girl. A peaceful smile appeared on their faces, and they looked at the back of Millie, puffing out their chest proudly.
A sudden, loud cry came from the city gaze. The crowd in front of the castle trembled. They looked at Sir John with tears in their eyes. Now, everyone knew how safe the bunker was. No one wanted to risk their life by hiding in an unsafe place. Suddenly, a lady in her mid-twenties stepped forward and looked at Sir John fearlessly.
"Sir, what about us that are not here when you are giving out the tickets?"
"If you're not here when we are giving out the tickets in the first place, Move to the left side quickly. The monster beast is almost on us.," Sir John announced sternly.
Quickly, a group of people moved to the left side and a peaceful smile appeared on their faces. Though the land was trembling and the beasts were getting closer with their loud cries. They knew the moment they entered the bunker; they were safe.
Now, if you hear your name, Move to my right side. " Sir John brought a scroll and read out names.
After a couple of minutes, Sir John led the people that qualified to enter the castle in a large stride. There were hundreds of people outside the castle begging and crying. However, the gate of the castle was shut. When the people had lost hope, A young lady rushed out of the castle and shouted.
"If you know you're going to sign a contract with the prince, You have a chance now. " Lily announced, with a trembling mouth. She could see the huge body of some beast from a distance.
Just then, a cloud of smoke rose from every angle of the city, and a group of guards was running toward the castle at a breathtaking speed. When Lily saw the guards and the smoke, She sighed in relief.
"The prince is never wrong." She smiled lightly.
Lily opened the gate, and the guards entered the castle, panting, sweat dripping from their bodies like an open dam. But the smile on their faces showed how happy they are. When Lily was about to enter the castle, The crowd quickly rushed toward the gate while shouting.
"We will sign any contract with the prince."
"Good. Now, enter quickly."
The following day, the dark sky over Long-Fall Pass had long gone and was replaced with a beautiful blue sky. Birds chipped, the bush rustled, and the air was thick with the stench of blood and arches. A couple of meters behind the castle, a thick metal door was opened a little, and a head popped out. The head looked back and forth, and after a moment, he pushed the metal door further.
A second later, a couple of guards rushed out of the metal door and descended from the mountain, going to various locations. After a few minutes, the guards return with a smile on their faces.
"The coast is clear." A middle-aged man announced, raising his voice.
In the desolate street of Long-Fall Pass, people were laughing, smiling, and talking with no thought of the destruction caused by the monster beasts. However, on top of the biggest castle in Long-Fall Pass, a young man in a blue robe looked at the destruction with no expression on his face. Beside him was a middle-aged man with a long beard, and behind them were four other people.
After looking at the city for some time, the young man left the corridor on a small step, waving his hand to the people behind to follow him. No one dared to speak, so everyone held their breath and looked at each other from the corner of their eyes.
Inside a spacious room, on the right side were tall shelves filled with various books and scrolls. And at the center of the room, a big rectangular wooden table stood. On top of the table, various books, scrolls, inkpots, and ink brushes were neatly arranged. On the other side of the table was a brown chair made of an unknown wood with various carvings.
Shortly, the young man entered the spacious room and sat on the magnificent chair. While the old man stood on his right and the others in front of the table, For a couple of seconds, the young man looked at the faces of the people in the room, one after the other. They held their breath and their hearts pounded and their palms sweated.
Why is the prince looking at us like this? Did we do something wrong?
Amid the parchment of the table, Al Casendra picked a specific one and gave it to Sir John. Immediately, Sir John unfolded the parchment and looked at Al Casendra, and he nodded. Clearing his voice, Sir John read aloud.
"Whatever you think of Long-Fall Pass, however, you have forgotten about it. This is my home and I won't condole with anything that destroys it. And if you think you can behave any way you like under my watch, you can try. " He paused, taking a deep breath.
