(Before we start, I have more chapters but I'm testing the waters. I write to write and have fun, I've seen amazing novels get shut down, because arse's who can't Stfu and let the Author write. I'm done ranting, enjoy.)

Blackness maybe? Or is it an unending sea of nothing. A place so dark you could cut it with a knife, there was no sound, or the brilliance of life. The endless black was calm and full.
The thought of nothing, might make one wary or cool the blood, but that is for those who do not see the calm in it. It's likely, the ones who get caught in this darkness, don't notice the changes because of fear. The small rhythmic sound that slowly broke the Silence, or the faint sounds of a breeze the blew ever so slightly. While the rhythmic sound only grew louder and louder. Like something new was brought into life.
"Maybe it's just over thinking when we find ourself in this kind of darkness, that fear is the correct response? Or am I the one, that's over thinking?".
That being said, light flooded in to the space and overbearing amount of light. While unfocused and blinding until it eventually cleared.
"I need to stop doing that, might end up with brain damage or have more of these strange thoughts..*sigh".
The echoing of a young man's voice rang out as he lifted his body, rubbing his eyes as they adjusted to the light. He spoke to himself as he looked around the room and took it all in, the window that was slightly open, allowing the night air from the outside to cool his skin and moving his hand to touch his chest, feeling his ever calm heart.
"I should get up, I was on way to long last night.. I wouldn't want to repeat what happened last time.." Bringing one of his legs up, the young man leaned on it as he brought his hand through his hair. His messy black hair falling in between his hand as he looked over to the covers beside him.
"This thing gets me in trouble, but damn if it isn't fun.. well let's get up, Yama.." speaking to himself, the young man threw his legs over the side of the bed, feeling the cold wood of the floor, he stood slowly and stretched his body as he walks to a desk.
He looks back for a second, only to grab a note book from the desk and walks out of the room. While the door closed, you could see a half dome like sphere on the bed, with a long wire running out the back, it ran down to the floor and across the large room, where a massive, black metal box sat.
"Well looks like i need to order more food, for now.. toast with jam and milk should hold me over.. ridiculous.." After coming down stairs, the young man Yama looked in the large fridge to see nothing but eggs milk and other odds that he wouldn't eat again.
He took his time making coffee and toast as he sat at the black oak table alone. Pouring himself some milk, he drank a little before putting his note book on the table, opening it as if it was a newspaper and grabbing the pen inside.
The young man didn't move for the next 2 hours as he wrote and laughed at a few things he had written down, the plate with the edges of toast and the now cold coffee went unnoticed by the young man who was in his own world.
"This set up should work, if it doesn't I'm dead anyway, but that's the point isn't it." The young man, put his foot on the chair as he pushed his hair back with a smile. Looking closely at the writing he spent so long to map out of his head.
*ring.
*ring.
*ring.
While going over the notes again, a small device on his table rang for a few minutes, it was only the blinking of the device that pulled Yama from his thoughts.
"Oh shit.." touching the device and reading the name, Yama freaked out before calming to answer it.
"Hello.." Yama spoke, shaking his head to clear his thoughts and hearing only silence. It felt like a life time of silence as Yama waited.
"Finally picked up your damn phone! I called you 10 times already Yama! Come on man!" On the other side, a young man probably of similar age yelled.
"I know, I'm sorry.. I was caught up with, well that whole mess last night. I mean I saw you in the stream so.. you should know already." Yama pulled the phone away from his ear to let the man speak, bringing it back once the man was done as he spoke.
"Yeah, yeah.. I was there. Still doesn't make up for the fact you suck at answering your phone. Anyways, that was a hell of a battle last night.. can't believe they pushed you that far." The young man on the phone spoke, finally calming down as he started to remember last night.
"Yeah, I didn't think they would either but there team work is incredible, especially that mage.. I don't really remember all there names but his orders in combat really stuck out to me. That being said, if they had a full raid party, I doubt I'd still be a holder. Well it really only came down to the massive AOE's and the disparity in health." Yama smiled widely, going on and on about the fight as he remembered it last night. Only stopping when the other side stopped answering with sounds of acknowledgment.
"Your the same as Always Yama, not like the rest who held their title for EXP or rewards, you just enjoy the fight. Still your right, when there turn comes up again.. they might actually do it." The young man on the other side, let out a long sigh as he laughed at the man Yama for getting happy about almost losing.
"Hopefully they come back with a better strategy this time, I wouldn't mind losing to them. Well that's out of the way, what do you need Akiro? You only ever call me when there is something you guys can't do.." Yama leaned back in his chair, looking at the ceiling as he heard his friend choke a little.
"*cough.. that's-that's not true, come on Yama we're friends.. can't I just." But before he could finish he was cut off.
"I know we're friends akiro, still don't beat around the bush with me. What is it this time? Coding? New lore? AI trouble? Quest lines?" Yama went back to looking in his book as he named off things he thought akiro would ask.
"*sigh, asshole I was trying to be nice, whatever but it's none of that. All your ideas have been buffed out by the other devs, I'm just hear to ask for your opinion on the feed back gear? Isn't it dangerous I mean, even with low level biochemical feedback it could kill someone." Akiro asked, which made Yama sit up.
"Well there are hardcore gamers that could take it to the next level but I've thought of that.. in the gear set up, you only need a cut off or once a person has reached a level of pain the gear will not send feed back, yeah it might piss off a few masochist players out there of but it doesn't matter. We already worked on types for smell and taste but pain was a weirder one for those who sent in ideas, for some reason there was a lot who wanted that feature, saying and I quote. 'It truly makes me feel, feel like I'm in another world' or something like that." Yama yawned as he spoke, hearing akiro agree with what he said.
"It should work, maybe you could.." Akiro slowly said before getting cut off again.
"I already have the design made up, I'll send it over once I'm done with my own work in game.." Yama said without care as he closed his note book.
"Your the best Yama, hold on.. you came up with it, are you sure your not one of those masoc.." Akiro tried to say while laughing until he froze.
"Akiro? How are those jiggle Physics I helped you with for that H-game? I wonder if Kara would want to know.." Yama's face turned cold as he laughed at his friends silence.
"Hey Yama, you know that was for.." Akiro felt cold sweat run down his back as he stumbled over his words.
"I know, I know.. research purposes.. bye Akiro." Yama laugh one more time before hanging up. Only to hear Akrio yell Yama as he did so and walked to the bathroom.
On the large oak table, there sat a red hard back note book, the light from the sun coming through the open window, passed over it as the title could be seen through the shadows.
'Nines Own Goal'.
"This should be fun.." Yama's voice rang out as a smile came to his face, walking into the darkness of the house.
