(Again I don't know how I feel about it, but now most of the set up is out of the way. And as always please enjoy.)
In a void of black, I sat waiting as I looked at my interface. The stream had just gone up as I watched morgott stay true to his words, streaming was actually new to the DDMMORPG's and everyone usually just wanted to grind the game with friends and not be distracted by chat messages. So taking advantage of this, I proposed a dev stream, where the players could watch thrilling game play while finding a group they like, see the stream was broken up in different groups ran by a dev, some loved lore so while watching they could ask a lore dev about it. Others like the competitive nature of the game, so there was a stream for that, armor, weapons, stats, and etc were brought into form a split but harmonious community.
The pov wasn't set up in first person format like my old world, no it was in a close birds eye view so it didn't follow just one player, the cameras were of cinematic Quality, allowing gamers to watch from home or in game on there interfaces. It was a hard think to do as we needed to accommodate all players but with my team, we eventually figured out this method of split yet join format or streaming.
[who's up first?] RanniSimp34 typed in chat.
[I don't know, it can't be the Tarnished guild, they are still stuck on the Malenia raid.] MaleniastepOnMe typed.
[it's the new heteromorphic team again, Nines Own Goal.] BandaiLover11 typed as the stream went up and the discussion started.
'What the hell is with these names, it doesn't matter what world your in, gamers will simp either way.. *sigh.' While in the dark, I watched a few of the streams as I waited for the stream to show the group who has made it the farthest. I couldn't help but to sigh at my peoples lack of care for there wants.
[Twin are you ready? And where is their team now?] using the message function, I contacted the twin who was waiting in the first stage of the boss room.
[They killed Godfrey and are making their way to the erdtree, they will be brought on stream as soon as they make it passed the twisted erdtree's, in the capital of ash.] Twin messaged me back as a screen came up, showing the group of nine absolutely man handling a boss they usually had a hard time dealing with, even as a raid party.
[thanks twin..] leaving that message I thought to myself.
'They've gotten better, before.. they were stuck on that boss for 4 hours, not to mention how long it took to kill Godfrey before. But why are they rushing? Some of their party is still hurt and some of there casters are using what Melee they can.. are they doing a shotgun approach?' I watched as momonga used [Summon undead] along with there team getting defensive buffs like [Protection of the erdtree] while trying to overwhelm the boss.
'They know they can't waste time and mana on that boss, not if they want to beat the next two.. still was it right? There team isn't a raid team and trying to conserve resources, can make them overthink every spell they cast but then again, it's dead.' I watched as the twisted erdtree fell, turning in to white smoke and ash. I was actually happy as I watched the group cheer a little, they really have come a long way.
The stream was filled with messages of praise, even from humans and emoji's, along with other chat functions. Gamers had a thing to them, they get frustrated but seeing another do it gives them hope, hope that no matter if it sucked, they would bring that boss to its knees.
'It's about time I guess, they should have taken the teleportation lift to the erdtree throne room. I guess they mean business this time around, let's see how they handle themselves, the next boss is meant to inflict heavy status effects on living or undead.' I moved around in the darkness like liquid as I watched the stream, seeing the team of nine all push the massive doors to the boss room open.
[Twin pov]
Standing in the erdtree hall, I watched as the light from outside split the ground. The beautiful mix of red, orange and amber. Only added another layer of wonder to my long red hair, I shook my head mentally as I got into character. Watching the players walk in, I first noticed the large undead and silver knight at the front of the group, they moved cautiously even when they saw me just standing in the dark. Watching me hold a strange dagger in my hand, as the edge shined Periodically in the amber light.
"Brave warriors, mages, and fighters of all kinds.. heed my words and move no further, what lies ahead.. is only Thornes and pain. No one may enter the erdtree, not unless one holds the mark of a lord.." reaching out my hand slowly, I pointed it out to the group who had stopped, gesturing to go back through the door from whence they came. They all looked at each other and then like a wave of excitement hit them, they all looked at me with want in there eyes.
"Twin who guards the path, you can not stop us, long have we fought to stand before the elden ring, and claim a title as lord. Along with the riches that come with it.." soon the caster like elder lich spoke, his words firm as his teammates ready themselves.
"So it is greed that Spurs you forth? When we last met, you did not seem moved by power.. if thou wishes to move forward. One, must first face death.." while speaking softly to them, each of the nine moved back, watching as a miasma of black, crimson red and gold spread across the floor.
Their eyes were focused on the dagger that was now in my stomach, the black flame came to life, it burned my black robes slightly, while one of my stone like arms fell to the ground. It shattered into pieces, while the pieces were eaten by the black flame, my orangish red hair, changed into a more fiery red, as my face cracked a little. Soon the black reaches of the room were at my back as it started to swallow me, as I disappeared the party of nine looked at the black flames as a hand came through.
"Show me.. I want to see with my own eyes, your power.. showing that thou are befitting.. the title of lord.." my voice echoed as I disappeared, watching as the beast from below pulled himself out of the black flame.
It's armor was black and gold, fitted and curved to fit his body, his body lean and large as he leaned down on all fours. His eyes covered by his armor as he tilted his head up, his ashen, long grey hair flowed down his back. Yet all this couldn't take away the beast like body he had, his armor like claws , cracked the ground as it sparked. In one of his hands, there was a massive black sword, it to came to life in black flames, as he stabbed it into the ground. Dust kicked up as he used the sword to hold himself upright, leaning back on his beast like legs as he stretched his free arm out and lifted his head, then out of nowhere. A deafening roar sounded out, And what followed was shock waves. They spread out as the room shook from the roar he released, leaning down once more as he looked at his prey.
"Thou covet death so much.. then let it be me, maliketh, that obliges thy request.."
