Chapter 3 - Friend #2

Every since that day of detention, Aza and Dawn became close friends. Throughout elementary, they would cause trouble any way possible. From pranks to 'accidentally' beating up a kid. Though, soon after middle school, the two did get better. They would still do pranks, yes, but they no longer beat up kids. Now, they were in high school. Aza is 15, whilst Dawn is 16. Aza hasn't entirely changed. He was still the "weird doodle kid" Dawn would say. Dawn on the other hand, did. He was shy and kept to himself in elementary, but now he has Aza. Which made him more open and social. Dawn was seen as the popular kid in the high school, which made Aza jealous. Jealous of how Dawn gotten all the attention and how he is lucky enough to be in a rich family. While Aza's family struggled for money, and he rarely gotten any attention.

Now, it is 2016, April 26th. The two young "men" were walking through the city. Dawn was invited to a party, and he could be a plus one. Of course, he chose Aza. Aza didn't seem happy about it, though. He was more quiet than usual. This caught Dawn's attention. "Why are you so quiet, Aza?" Asked Dawn, his hands being stuffed into his pockets, lights of the night shining down around them. "Nothing. Just tired." Aza assured with a smile. Dawn felt he was lying, a deep feeling. Dawn didn't want to be a bother, though. The boy only lets out a sigh. "Alright, you should get more sleep next time.". Aza only rolled his eyes at that. "I will do so.".

The teenagers soon felt large booming sounds coming nearby, meaning they were close. "Damn, it's so loud..do we really have to go?" Aza asked, shivering as a cold wind blew across them, making him pull his overcoat closer. "Don't be such a buzz kill! It'll be great, promise." Dawn chuckled, the two soon arriving at the house. Different colored lights flashed across the house, beers and cans being scattered around. A few people were outside rather drinking, smoking, or puking out something. "Looks like something you would go to.." Aza sighed, putting his hood up as he told Dawn, "I'm staying outside. You can do whatever," and with that Aza was off, disappearing into the slightly fogged darkness. The lights were barely visible through the fog. Dawn only shook his head, "buzz kill.". The black haired boy walked into the house, disappearing into the crowd of drunks and teenagers.
