Adah entered her office that morning looking radiant and exotically beautiful. Her brown eyes sparkled with joy and her elegant perfect body fit into a brown straight gown that quite accentuated her hips and body. Her steps were graceful and confident, determined and blissful. She dropped her personal computer and settled down to work. Her schedule has been sent to her already and she went through them, She remembered that she will be eating out during lunch and smiled to herself. She is not a heavy eater but recently her relationship with Munah looks to have increased her appetite for food. However, that still does not make her a heavy eater. She checked on the files after which she called the Bureau of Statistics. They met at the conference hall and had an hour meeting. She told them of her findings with the sugar plant and the gross mismanagement of funds. She tasked them to effect an increase in the budget because the project of producing brown sugar will take effect since the machinery has all been installed. She also asked them to work out an increased allowance to the tune of a seventy-five percent increase for the junior workers. They looked at the possibilities and discussed other issues before they promised to give her a reply so that the increment will be effected, endorsed, and announced. After the meeting, as she made her way to the office, she noticed Munah's message. She looked at the time and remembered that they have not seen themselves since they entered the complex of the empire. Adah smiled as she entered Munah's cozy office and saw him busy. She locked the door and walked up to him holding him on the seat as she embraced him from behind, she allowed him to turn around and she kissed him lightly sitting on the space on top of his table.
"The list has been sent by Mr. Kindle," Munah said as she heaved. He showed the document to her, and she opened them and went through them interestingly. She took the documents and file to the three-seater sofa and sat down quite carried away. Munah finished with what he was doing and met her a little worried.
"You have to do a broadcast to the entire organization from your office and then the document will be released on our website and network," Munah said looking at her. Adah looked back and nodded in agreement as he took the documents from her. He stood up and walked to his table before looking at the time. It was already half the hour past noon.
"Are you hungry?" She asked softly
"Yes.. you know I only took a cup of tea this morning," he replied as he printed out more copies of the document.
"I want to eat out. though I do not know the place though any nice restaurant will be splendid," Adah said invitingly with a smile.
"I feel like having lunch at the cafeteria," he said looking at her.
"I will join you there at two.." she said and blew a kiss to him as she made for the door. He finished printing out the documents and hurriedly left his office to the human resource department. He was there when Adah came up on the empire network to make a worldwide broadcast. Every attention went to the large screen as she commenced her broadcast. Mrs. Randolph whom he had come to see watched with interest listening to her as she greeted all the staff around the world who at this moment that is glued either to a large screen or computers. She gave a brief report on certain situations she is not comfortable with especially in the Philippines and encouraged the spirit of excellence to be a priority to the organization. Though the issue in the Philippines has been resolved she noted and thanked the staff there for their consistency in the willingness of getting the issue resolved. Adah also pointed out the sugar factory debacle, she blamed the directors without mincing words and apologized to the factory and the junior staff. She however explained that their allowances have been increased to meet the empire's standard internationally and a communique will be detailed to them in the next few days. Lastly, the reshuffling exercise was announced. She also clarified that the Bureau of statistics has been given the nod toward ensuring that those affected will be adequately compensated for there will be a huge bonus and allowance that will help to cushion the effects that will come up as a result of relocation and settling down in new places. She ended by thanking Mr. Kindle for the sporadic growth that the Metrical recorded in their last report. She went off the network and Munah walked into Mrs. Randolph's office. She smiled as she sipped her cup of coffee. They greeted warmly as Munah showed her the classified document which is to go online on their website in the next hour. She accepted and minuted on them before Munah left. As he climbed the stairs to his office he met some colleagues discussing the broadcast on their way to the cafeteria. He listened to and observed their analysis that the reshuffling exercise was indeed a necessary innovation because some executives have stayed too long in their present positions thereby retarding growth and development, especially in the companies and manufacturing units. He turned and left them arguing their points as they continued their way, he noticed something as he entered his office that Mrs. Randolph seem to be avoiding him. She somewhat has a way of doing it in an unannounced way and with this recent development, he is not comfortable because he has started warming up to her as a sister he has never got. They have bonded to an extent and cannot stop now. He promised to give her a call so that they can discuss things over for he is quite uncomfortable about it. He entered his office and quickly prepared a wish list which he emailed to Lily concerning the project. Five minutes later, Lily replied thanking him for the list and also informing him that Adah has discussed with their overseas banks for quick implementation and disbursement of funds. She promised to call him so that they can discuss more later in the day. He knows that the loans will be approved after all the banks are owned and controlled by the Denson's empire and as the chief and chairman, Adah has all the authority to make such demands. it is a loan that will be paid back because the profits that will come as a result of the execution of this project by the Adah Denson group will be huge. He looked at the door as it opened and Adah walked in with a smile which made him wonder for a brief moment as he stared at her. She walked up to him and held his hands in hers wanting an embrace which he did holding her tenderly.
"I got a call from my father who listened to my broadcast. He is quite pleased and gave a thumbs up. He told me that he will take over from there..." Adah said looking at him.
"Thank goodness because at the back of my mind I was a little worried about how his reaction will turn out to be," Munah said.
"Thank God, this major decision quite made him comfortable," Adah said as she sat on the office table facing him.
"Now that we are sure of the loan, I will suggest that a meeting will be held to discuss modalities and fine-tune our readiness. We also have to pay a visit to the site that will be accommodating the construction company." Munah said clearing his table.
"I will want us to meet when the money drops into our account and purchases of the equipment made. Lily just informed me that our accounts here have been created with three banks." Adah said expressionlessly.
"Let's meet in tomorrow so that we can commence our readiness plan and not be taken unawares," Munah said.
"I will inform Lily to call for one tomorrow at a suitable time," Adah said with a smile as the pleasures of the previous weekend flooded her memories. She fought them back but discovered how powerless she was and stood up to leave at that instant. As if he knows what she is battling with, he pulled her back and embraced her holding her to himself as she melted into his embrace. Adah sighed deeply as she has wanted this for a long time from him.
"You look beautiful my queen..." he mumbled as he searched her beautiful face. She smiled and felt a strong urge to kiss him but held herself back with every muster of strength she can command.
"I am hungry..." she said softly.
"I will meet you at the cafeteria in a minute he said and allowed her to refrain. As she walked to the door, he never took his eyes off her. Their eyes met as she opened the door and closed it which made her smile.
