In the boys' hostel everybody apart from Zero, who was currently deeply focused on his book to sleep, and Alexander, who was doing some meditation exercises in his dorm room, was asleep peacefully not knowing the danger that was slowly developing right under their noses.
'This book is quite interesting. Apparently, there are four demon rankings. Nightmare, where a demon can kill 10 to 100 people a minute, Catastrophe, where a demon can kill 100 to 1000 people a minute, Entity, where a demon can kill 1000 people a second, and Royal, where a demon can kill 10000 and more people a second. Damn, that's scary.'
Zero looked out of his window and sighed, 'Looks like this may not be as easy as I thought.'
Just then, as he was staring out of the window, someone broke through the window and entered the room. Alexander, who wasn't too far away, quickly rushed to Zero's room to see what was up.
Zero meanwhile wasn't startled by what happened and just woke up Nero.
"Yo, we may have an intruder wake up," said Zero as he woke up Nero, who quickly sprung out of bed and instinctively held his lance.
"Hey, who are you? You've made a big mistake coming into the dorm of Nero the Great," said Nero as he walked closer to the person who was down on the floor.
Just then, Alexander also burst through the door, startling Nero but not Zero.
"Are you guys okay?" asked Alexander before looking at the person on the ground. "Huh, Ms. Mai!"
"Ms Mai! What do you mean?" asked Nero, and the moment he asked, Mai got up from the ground and apologised for burging in unannounced.
But Zero didn't care, and Alexander helped her out before and sat her on the bed.
"Ms Mai, what are you doing here in Zero's dorm?" asked Alexander.
"I... I came to... Oh yeah, I came to warn you all that a very dangerous demon is here underneath the school."
"Huh, what do you mean?" asked Nero in confusion.
"Some of the staff... they resurrected him. They resurrected Gilmont of Gluttony."
Alexander and Nero's faces turned pale out of fear as Zero looked at them confused.
"Did... did you just say Gilmont of Gluttony as in Humble's right-hand man? As in the strongest demon to ever attack the headquarters. The entity class Gilmont?" asked Nero shakily.
"Unfortunately, yes. It is that Gilmont," replied Mai.
"Then why didn't you inform any of the angel 1000s?" asked Alexander, who too was scared.
"They didn't come to mind. You don't understand. That thing is feeding, and I saw him kill over thirty people in a flash. I couldn't think at that time, so I just went with the first name that came to mind, and that was Zero." replied Mai.
"That's good," exclaimed Alexander. "That means that as of now, he's at a catastrophe level. Meaning that we just need one angel 1000. Are there any that are in school now?"
"There's only Mr. Kentai. The rest went to the main building for a meeting," said Mai.
"Good, go tell Kentai about the demon and any other angel you see on the way. We shall try to evacuate everybody," said Zero, who remained calm throughout this whole ordeal. "Alexander, you should go with her it will be quicker that way."
"But what if we don't make it in time..."
"Don't worry, Nero, and I will handle the evacuation you just worry about informing Kentai."
Alexander and Mai agreed, and they both rushed out of the room to go and inform Mr Kentai.
"Okay, so how do we get everyone out of their beds and heading for the exit?" asked Nero.
"That's simple. The difficult part is how do we kill the demon," replied Zero.
"Wait, don't tell me that you're about to go and fight that thing?"
"Well, someone has to, and I don't think you're going to do it."
"Is it because you're a demon as well?"
Zero looked at Nero in shock, the only other emotion he made since Mai appeared. "How did you know?"
"Well, one day you were from training and you had injured your hand so you came to the dorm and I saw you regenerate and that's when I saw the mark you had been covering."
"How come you didn't do anything?"
"Because you're a cool guy."
"Damn, you're getting sentimental. Please stop."
"Okay, I will."
"So you understand that I need to do this so that I can achieve my goal, but no need to worry. I'll help you wake everybody up so that you can help with evacuation."
"Okay."
So Zero and Nero also rushed out of the room.
Meanwhile, Alexander and Mai were running to the academy head building to tell Mister Kentai about the demon.
"Come on this way," said Mai.
"Wow, Ms Mai you're fast."
"I used to be an angel before I gave it up to be a doctor. I figured it was better to heal than to get healed. Also, ever since the day I saw an entire village get wiped in an instant, I promised myself never to go through that again. My entire squad was wiped out, and I was the last standing."
"Damn, must be scary. So what Angel number were you? Oh, I was angel 377."
"Wow. Hey, look up ahead, isn't that Mr. Lewis."
"Yes, it is come on." The two angels rushed to Mr Lewis and told him about Gilmont's resurrection, and Lewis agreed to help, so the three of them headed for Mr Kentai's office.
Meanwhile, Mr Kentai was preparing to head out for the meeting at the main office when he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in," he said, and Mai, Lewis, and Alexander all burst into the room.
"Mr Kentai, there is a demon on the academy grounds," said Alexander.
"Huh, what do you mean? If there were, then I would have sensed it," said Kentai.
"I understand, but that's because it has just been resurrected," said Mai.
"Resurrected, what are you talking about?" asked Kentai in utter confusion.
"Sir, some workers had collected the ten parts of Gilmont of Gluttony, and they resurrected him using some ritual. I saw it with my own eyes. Currently, he's eating them, but I don't know how long we have before he starts rampaging." answered Mai.
"So, Gilmont has risen again. Damn, then he must be after Borollo. That could be bad. Did you say that he's eating?"
"Um, yes, I did," replied Mai.
"Then it's best to assume that he is at a catastrophe level. This would mean that he isn't quite at his strongest, but it could still be bad mostly for the first years."
"Right now, Zero and Nero are planning to evacuate everybody," said Alexander.
"Good thinking because we don't know our enemy's power level yet."
"But you said that he is at catastrophe, didn't you?" asked Alexander.
"That was most likely an estimation, meaning that our enemy might even be stronger than that," replied Kentai.
Alexander turned pale from fear upon hearing those words.
"I'll contact the rest of the angel 1000s and tell them about what's happening. Right now go and assist Nero and Zero," said Kentai. "Hey, Lewis. I need you to watch over them especially Zero. I don't know why but I feel something off about him."
"Alright sir, I'll do my best," said Lewis before heading out to help Mai and Alexander.
BOOM
Just then an explosion happened just above the boy's hostel caused by Nero and Zero.
"Okay, I'll leave the rest to you," said Zero as he climbed down the ladder leading to the ground.
"Hey, Zero. Be safe okay," shouted Nero.
"Don't worry about me. Just get these fools out of here." And so Zero ran over to the compound of the girl's hostel as everybody began to spring out of their beds trying to see where the commotion was coming from.
"Hey everybody, get out of bed and run for the emergency room. There is a dangerous demon underground that will kill us all. So hurry," shouted Nero but nobody reacted adequately. Most of them began to murmur to one another unsure of what to do.
Neon and Wilsh rushed up to where Nero was and began asking him what the problem was but Nero was kind of stuck he saw nobody respond no matter how much he shouted.
"Everybody, head for the exit now..." shouted Nero he began to cough up blood but luckily for him, Lewis reached his position quickly and ordered everybody to go to the emergency room and finally everybody started moving.
"Hey, are you okay?" asked Lewis.
"Yeah, I'm okay," said Nero as he coughed out some blood.
"Good, where is Zero?"
"Um, he went to go kill the demon."
"What!! Is he mad he's just an angel 0 he can't kill that thing," yelled Lewis.
"I think he knows that he doesn't care because Zero is insane enough to think he could achieve his dream."
"And what is it?" asked Lewis.
Meanwhile, in the underground room, Gilmont was just complete with his feast when he felt the ground rumble a little.
"Ah, now full. Ha, who am I kidding a Glutton demon is never full. But I guess it's time to look for Borollo..." Gilmont felt a small presence coming from above. "Looks like someone's here."
Just then Gilmont sat down and felt the ground shaking before
BOOM
Zero burst through the ground and fell into the underground room.
"Huh, there was a room this big underground." said Zero as he fell down the hole he created.
He looked around the room and saw Gilmont seated down as rubble came falling. "Hah, there you are?"
Gilmont didn't look any bit shocked he was smiling.
Zero landed down on the ground and looked around till he saw a sword that was in good condition hanging on the wall and he walked up to it and picked it.
"Cool sword."
Gilmont stood up and pointed at Zero.
"Hey, who are you?" he asked.
"Oh yeah, I never introduced myself. I'm Zero Angel 0."
"Really, who came up with that name?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Besides, when did they start allowing demons to become angels?"
"Wait you can tell?"
"Of course, I can any demon would be able to tell your unit is different from an angel. Though you're too weak so I think many of them think you're a human."
"What do you mean weak? You haven't even fought me yet."
"I can tell from your unit."
"Anyway, don't worry I'm more merciful to demons so tell me where Borollo is."
"I won't."
"Hey brat, you don't want to get me pissed."
"I don't care honestly just know that I won't tell you," said Zero as he pointed his sword at Gilmont.
"Okay, then kid. Looks like I'll have to fetch him out using you."
Zero braced himself sensing danger was about to happen.
Just then he rushed over to attack Gilmont with a ferocious attack.
"Die you bastard," shouted Zero.
