"So you're an Angel 1000 now, huh Kenti." Said Gilmont.
"You didn't hear wrongly, Gilmont." Said Kentai.
"Hmm, I guess you'll make an excellent warm-up. Anyway..." Gilmont hit the wall behind him, breaking it, allowing him to slip off of the spike. He then teleported in front of Kentai and delivered a punch on his cheek that sent Kentai flying.
He then stood landed on the ground of the hostel compound of the girl's hostel and began regenerating as the blood spike behind him began to turn back into a liquid and flow down to the ground behind.
Blood Splinters
The blood behind Gilmont turned to small spikes that flew through his body, riddling him with holes.
Kentai stood in front of Gilmont, some distance away as the blood spikes turned back into blood that flowed into his body again.
Gilmont let out a chuckle as the holes began to repair themselves.
"This is getting fun."
Meanwhile, not so far from them in the academy's main building, Alexander and Mai had reached the medical centre and were and had placed Zero's body on a bed with white sheets that were quickly stained red from the blood.
"Are you sure you can heal him?"
"Yeah, I'm sure." Said Ms. Mai, as she opened and closed cupboards, looking for something that she was having a hard time finding.
"Can I help you with something?" Offered Alexander.
"I'm looking for Zero's medical file. We had it before this whole thing began."
"We... you mean Ms. July?"
"Yeah, I was holding it before following her to that underground demon shelter."
Alexander looked around for some time and saw a yellow file on the ground next to the bed Zero was on.
He knelt down and picked it up and saw the name "Zero, Angel 0."
"Um, Ms. Mai, I think I found it."
"Really, Alexander." She stared at the file in his hands and saw that it was the one she was looking for. "Thanks." She took the file out of his hands, opened it, and began flipping through pages till she found his medical details.
"Zero, last name; 'unknown'
Family; 'unknown'
Blood type; O+
Medical record; 'N/A'
Allegies; 'none'
Diseases; 'none'
Heals quickly, as reported by Angel Borollo.' "
"Seems like it should be easy to heal him completely." said Mai as she continued reading through his medical reports.
"Ms. Mai, have you already started the healing?" Asked Alexander.
"No, Alexander. Why?"
"He's already healed."
"What!" Ms. Mai was in shock. She looked at Zero's body, which was completely healed without her doing anything. She looked through the report once again. "It doesn't say anything about having a healing capability, and he's unconscious."
She then saw a part of the report that said, "Species; human." And he eyes widened.
She stared at the bandage wrapped around his right hand and began to slowly stretch her hands to it, but just as her hand touched the bandage, she felt a hand tightly hold hers.
She turned her head and saw that Zero was awake and staring into her eyes. She got scared and immediately jumped back like a frightened cat.
"Alexander gets away from him." She ordered.
"Why? Is something the matter?" Alexander asked, very confused.
"I don't know how Borollo missed it, but Zero is a demon." She said in fear.
Alexander also jumped away from him and held his sword tightly but didn't unsheath.
"Ah, where am I?" Asked Zero as he sat up the bed. He looked at Alexander and Mai's scared looks, and he looked at his body. That's when he knew exactly what they were scared of.
"Zero, are you a demon?" Asked Alexander, his hand still on his sword.
"Yes, I am, but I'm different from them." He tried to explain himself.
"Don't listen to it, Alexander. All demons are deceptive, murderous monsters that take joy from death. He is no different from the one Mr. Kentai is fighting right now."
"Look. I have no time to fight you. I must kill that demon."
"Why?" Asked Alexander, still refusing to believe that Zero was a demon.
"I need to achieve my goal."
"By the way, Nero, you said that Zero's fighting that demon to achieve his goal. What is it?" Asked Wilsh.
Nero smiled and looked at him mischievously. "Isn't it obvious? To make the world a better place."
Meanwhile, in the hostel compound, Kentai was still in a heated battle with Gilmont, whose regeneration was making Kentai's attacks ineffective.
Kentai was running around the garden trying to find the perfect place to attack, but Gilmont's fireball was making that strategy almost impossible.
Blood bank
Kentai waved his sword, and a huge wave of blood was shot to Gilmont's direction, pushing him through the side of the girl's hostel and into the main building.
He then ran into the storage building and hid in it for some time.
He was gasping heavily before falling into the floor, exhausted and bloody. "I'm reaching my limit. I've used too much blood. I hope everyone has evacuated. I have to hold him off until he gets here."
Meanwhile, in the main building, Gilmond crashed into it, destroying most of it in the process.
Zero, Alexander, and Mai, who were in the building began shaking due to the impact and a spike of blood flew for Mai's eye but Zero quickly put his head infront of her making the spike go through his head and stop in his head.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his head bloody from the injury.
Mai quickly moved away from him in fear and ran to Alexander's side.
"Hey Alexander, if you're gonna kill me, do it right now." He stood up and turned away from him as his head healed. "Otherwise, I'm gonna fulfil my goal no matter what, so I'm gonna go kill that demon."
Alexander froze in place. Mai saw this and unsheathed Alexander's sword and swang the sword for Zero's head, but before she could make it, he dashed out of the room and out of the building.
Mai threw the sword onto the ground in anger and fell down onto the ground and began sobbing. Alexander rushed to her side and helped her up.
"Alexander, do you know what it's like to be in a demon's intimidation?" Asked Mai with tears in her eyes.
"No, I've never."
"And I pray you never experience it." She said before Alexander tightly.
He picked he up and began rushing her to the evacuation zone where he found Neon, Wilsh, and Yanis.
"Hey guys," he greeted.
"Alex, you're okay. Ms. Mai!" Said Neon.
"She not in her mind. Give me somewhere I can place her, to rest."
Neon took her and put her on a bed that was for any of those injured in the attack.
"Have you seen Zero anywhere?" Asked Yanis.
"Zero is..." He looked around and didn't find Nero. "Where is Nero?"
"He's still evacuating the girls in the northern block with Yuri." Replied Wilsh.
Alexander's eyes widened, and he wanted to go help him, but some third years stopped him.
"Let me through. There are students still out there."
"And so are there students in here. We can't risk anyone's life right now. Everyone in here has to remain here. Those outside will be let in when they come." Said one of the third years. A big dark-skinned woman called Gloria.
Alexander relaxed. He wasn't one to argue with authority, so he just kept hope that they would make it out in time.
Nero and Yuri had managed to evacuate almost all the girls in the northern block, and as they were looking for any that may be remaining, they heard screams coming from the reading hall. They ran to the source of the screams and found that some rubble had blocked the door of the reading room.
"Hey, is there anyone in there?" Asked Nero.
"Yeah, please help us. we are scared." Said on of the trapped girls.
"How the hell are you scared, and you call yourselves angels." Yelled Yuri.
"Yuri, please save us. The demon's unit is like nothing we've ever felt before. It's maddening." Said another girl.
"Huh, what do you mean?"
"Could you relax a little, Yuri. They must be really scared." Said Nero trying to empathise with the girls.
"But you also know that that's weird. They shouldn't be."
Nero deep down knew this, but he still viewed it as a possibility.
On the other hand, Lewis was evacuating the last group of boys when they suddenly stopped running and collapsed on the floor in fear.
"Hey, what are you doing? Let's go." He ordered.
"Sorry, sir, but we can't. We're too scared."
"What do you mean? It's just a demon. You're angels."
"The demon's unit is something else. It's maddening."
Lewis looked at them confused, and that's when the realised hit him.
"No, don't tell me."
Kentai was lying on the floor, his wounds healing when he felt a strange force surrounding the hostels.
"No, not here." He screamed before bursting out of the storage room and sensing for any students in the hostels. "No, don't do it, Gilmont."
Zero had reached the compound of the main building when he felt a strange force.
"What the hell is this force?" He asked himself.
"See, kid. We demons have a special power. The power to manipulate fear. In fact, we are fear." Said Gilmont behind Zero.
"There you are. What do you mean?" He asked.
"It's a bother tho explain, so let me show you."
He launched into the air and began floating in the air with a wide grin on his face.
Intimidation
The force became stronger that Lewis, Nero, Yuri, and the other students froze in one place.
Screams feeled the air people began coughing out blood, and their eyes, ears, and noses began flowing out with blood.
Zero began feeling a menacing aura radiating from Gilmont's body as the screams got louder.
He closed his eyes and began noticing the units of about forty people disappear.
"Are...are they dying?"
