Rosaline helped her sister eat the lunch meal. For the first time, they got to taste meat which was only accessible to elite people. They usually had to fill their stomachs with sweet potatoes and bread.
"Why did Jed not co-come to eat?" Penelope asked as she looked at the chair around the table.
"It's Lord Jed, Pene," Rosaline scolded her sister. "He is older than you and is the lord of this village. You should be respectful, Pene," she made her understand.
"But-but Jed told me that I can call him Jed," she said in a low voice. Rosaline pushed the spoon into her mouth, and she slurped the soup.
"You must listen to your sister, Pene. As you call me Sister Rosa, you should call him Lord Jed."
Rosaline put the spoon on the plate as Penelope finished the chicken broth soup. She picked up the napkin and wiped Penelope's mouth.
"Can I call him Big Brother?" Penelope asked curiously.
"No."
"Yes."
Rosaline and Jedediah said at the same time.
