Throughout the meeting, Heather had her lower lip in her between teeth. The meeting ended and the Lords walked out of the hall.
When Shawn was on his way out, she lifted her head and her eyes met with Shawn. She looked at him with hurtful eyes. If even it was clear that he lied to her, she still hoped everything was just a dream. He confirmed it otherwise, he just looked away and walked out like she was nothing. She was already hurt, but he way he just looked away from her, hurt her even more.
Mayo was watching everything from the background. He had his usual evil smirk on his face. 'This is going to be more fun than I expected' he noted and walked to her. She saw him and her face stoned. She couldn't prove to be weak Infront of him. ' Well pretty girl, I never imagined that you would still stand out even in this situation' he said making fun of her. She said nothing, just looked at him with so much anger. ' You know what, I want to show you something. Infact you all should come. Come with me!' he ordered grabbing her hand. ' Let go of me' she whispered through her teeth knowing if she just the attention of the guards she would be in trouble.
Mayo dragged her along and the rest were pushed along. They got to a door and it was a massive one. 'Let go of me-' she paused when she noticed the door they stopped at. She looked over at Mayo and he seemed pretty lost in thoughts and that smirk he didn't make things better. 'Open it' he ordered and two men went to open the door.
The door was massive so, the opening of the door was sort of slow which increased the anxiety everyone had. All their eyes were fixed at the door watching it open. 'What's in there' she asked him and he just smiled. ' Wait for it...' he whispered. 'ROAR!' the loud sloggish roar came from inside the room which shook everyone and made the alert. The door was now wide open and they all gasped with wide eyes.
Behind the massive door was a beast. It was humongous fury animal with large limbs and sharp claws, it was chained with very strong chains. The beast raored at them again throwing them off balance. It roared with his mouth wide open revealing his jaw throat and mouth full with razor teeth. It was sitting back it looked so huge already, what if it stood up?
'W-Wha-what is this?' she rumbled with shivering. 'Good question' he said and looked around 'You!' he randomly pointed at a woman. It was the woman who told Heather and some others at this place earlier in the room. She was visibly shaking as if she already knew her fate. 'Come here' he ordered her and she hesitantly walked towards him. 'What are you doing? What are you going to do with-' Heather started but he cut her short ' Just chill. See for yourself' he said and grabbed the woman's hand then forcefully pushed into the room. 'No, no you can't do this, let her go!! Leave her! Nooo-' Heather screamed as she struggled out of Mayo's grip and froze in shock when the beast grabbed the woman and bit her head off. She was utterly speechless and breathless. She together with the rest watched the horrifying scene as the beast ate the woman completely. The only left were her clothes.
'And do know what-' Mayo whispered into a horrified Heather's ears making her flinch. He started circling around her saying 'He is still hungry, look closely at him...how he chews the flesh off his prey, he viciously fed off it with so much anger...did you see it...? And do you know you might be next?' he concluded making her flinched and almost stumbling to the ground but he caught her. 'Don't' worry, the test will determine that. Just pray the that your brain is by your side you know. Only your brain will help you pass the test' he said before walking away.
What test? Heather heart was erupting, her mind was everywhere and she couldn't think straight. She bit hard on her lip while tugging her hair hard. What the hell was happening?
