May pleaded again Heather smiled while nodding before saying 'I forgive you, I actually have no right to be mad at you. You went "sob" through so much, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that alone and I kept-' 'Noo, noo...' May hugged her and they embraced eachother and cried for a moment. They have been best friends for years now and they have been through so much together, it really feels ironically nice to have your best friend there with you in that situation.
'Ok... what are your questions?' May asked. 'Well for starters...what is this place or organization, or whatever? Some other woman said it was some kind of terrible place, she said it was hell on earth.' May nodded before saying 'she was right...the place even worse than hell, the place is called ARC, it spelt and pronounced as arc. It is a gangland ruled by the royal family, The Bendozas.' 'Wait, gangland?' 'Yes, it is. The supreme ruler is the Emperor, Emperor Armando Bendoza. He has a wife, Empress Lucille Bendoza. They are highest level of authority of this place but they don't really rule it. The Lords rule it.' 'The Lords, they were mentioned earlier.' Heather said lost in thoughts. The talk about Lords reminded her about Shawn betrayal. Up untill now, it still felt unreal to her.
'The four of them rule ARC, no one can ever escaped from this place. Once one enters, that's it.' 'But how are they not being caught yet. This is human trafficking, how are the authorities not doing anything about them' ' ARC in the outside world, is a mighty empire. It has many industries, factories, businesses. It has malls, airlines, fashion lines, food establishments and what not. It is the most powerful and most influential empire in the country and it competes with others in the continent. Everything ARC does impacts in the lives of so many. Their name and achievements are all over the media, whether it is print or non- print. They have power, influence and connections everywhere so it is able to hide their dirty work, and even if they found out it useless because all they have to do is throw money at them or kill them or they don't even say or do anything, their name speaks for them.'
Heather exhaled loudly 'okay, so how is this place ruled?' May sighed before answering 'Well...ARC is modern, everything about it is modern except their method of ruling. As I said earlier, the highest level of power is the Emperor and his wife, then the Lords. Among the Lords, there's hierarchy as well. The way they called in at the welcome meeting held had yesterday, is their ranking.' So the ruler was the last person introduced? But she saw everyone except the last person. And now she also so the arrogant man she met that night here too. What could be- Wait! After connecting everything, there was only one resoultion about this.
'Alpha Lord Inn Bendoza is the ruler of the gang land' May said confirming Heather assumption. No, this couldn't be be happening, him of all people? She already had a bad relationship with him to begin with and even mocked him, then his statement from earlier made her more scared. What would happen if he recognizes her? He would definitely make her life more than miserable.
She clenched her fists and bit her lower lip, she was nervous and anxious about it. May noticed her reaction 'Ummm... did something happen?' She asked worriedly. 'Huh? Uhhh nothing.. it's just, I was trying to understand what you were saying. Umm, con-continue what you were saying' Heather nervously covered up. 'Okay, so as I was saying, After the Lords, there are the masters. They handle more individual things and answer to the Lords. Then, the workers, they are divided into men and women.
All the men you saw ordering and carrying people around are the workers. Though maybe some were Masters like, the one that introduced the Lords at the welcome meeting. The men carry out the mental and physical work. They obey the orders, defend ARC in cases of attack and the gurad ARC.' 'More like henchmen?' 'Yeah...more like that, so the women other hand, they divided into maids and concubines. The maids do domestic labour while the concubines, well...they service the men at night.' 'What!? They are forced to have sex with those disgusting men?' Heather immediately asked.

Heather's blurtness made May laugh a little. 'Well you could say that, but don't let anyone hear you.' May whispered making Heather also laugh.
'How long have you been here?' Heather asked making May still for moment. 'Two years' May mumbled in response. 'What, two years?' 'yeah' 'how have you- and how come I never suppected until recently?' 'well because I went for Grandma's operation which was fake and it lasted for a year and half' 'What the? So all the surgery and everything was fake?' May nodded and Heather exhaled loudly. Oh! so she had been fooled for the last two years? That was pretty interesting.
'What position are you anyway?' Heather making May flinch 'What, what'd say?' she asked to clarify what she heard. 'What is your position?' Heather repeated more clearly. 'Oh umm...it's not important, well um.."gulp" I umm...' May was clearly nervous and Heather noticed it. What was she nervous about? 'Umm...are you okay, is it maybe Derek, are you his maid or... ?' '-Yes!' May said suddenly making Heather flinch a bit. 'I'm sorry what?' Heather was clearly missing out something here. ' Yes- well um, I'm what you said earlier' 'his maid? ' 'his maid' May confirmed and sighed before saying ' believe me, I never wanted you to get involved in this mess. 'No, This is just the welcome house, ARC is behind it. It is way bigger than this. You'll go there tomorrow but I want to know that you are not alone and please be obedient, punishment here can be very severe-' 'Other than death?' Or you could be fed to Major' 'what's that?' ' it's a vicious beast,a hybrid dog and it's-' ' I saw it' 'You did, when?' 'Yesterday, Mayo showed us and used a woman to demonstrate.'
May sighed, she knew this was a lot or even to much for Heather to handle but she hoped she would try. 'How many people are fed to it per day?' Heather asked 'Well umm...6-7 people a day' May mumbled ' Listen Heather, there a lot things that happen here, that are so hard to digest or even make meaning of but, it happens and it happens right infront of you, and it scares the hell of you but with time, everything just feels natural, the fear? The anxiety? you just get used to it and- ' ' you seize to feel anything?' Heather asked and May nodded and continued '-and try your best to survive, because here, you have make your survival, a mission everyday. Just obey whatever you are told to do and be alert at all times okay? I am here with you, we'll survive this ok' May said and hugged her.
It was confirmed, what he said was true. "...give it a day, and you'll seize to feel anything..." How exactly was she supposed to survive in this place?
