"I can't believe in what had just happened. The human territory that dreads our existence just gave us the Royal welcome to their soil and King Gabriel III was extremely pleased at our presence, I can't stop but feel something suspicious" Alith said to Alexander once they reached the special chambers provided for them.
Women and maids who have been crying their hearts out from the time Prince Kieran's body was placed in his Royal Chambers calmed down. They sat cling to the walls and chairs tired from hours of crying.
Unlike earlier days when the Royal Castles were heavily lit with lamps celebrating the wedding of their Prince. The Palace was enthusiastic since the morning, every corner is decorated with flower.
The Castles beautifully got decorated for the wedding night of Prince Kieran Lafayette, the Royal maids took extra care in decorating the valley leading to the Castle of Princess, where Queen Ayda is strolling right now.
While the whole Kingdom had been worried not just about the death of their Price but the potential threat they would have to face once the news about the Emperor of the Human Territory deceasing reaches places, the scenario is quite different in Princess Melanie's castle.
"How am I supposed to stay alive Royal Queen" Melanie has been crying sitting on the couch, in the garden surrounding her Castle.
Elena has locked the room from inside as she is guarding the wheat and barley seeds to confirm Princess Melanie's suspicion regarding her pregnancy.
Melanie has tried her best to make her mother-in-law believe that, her room decorated for her wedding night is only making her weak.
Trying to console her daughter-in-law, Queen Ayda spoke comforting words believing Melanie's worry is about her son. Whereas Melanie is busy trying to look sad concealing her worry.
"King Nicolov has sent the information to your parents, they will be here by tomorrow" Queen Ayda spoke between the sobs.
Melanie gulped hearing the name of her parents, she knew how many secrets they hold close, the last thing she want is her parents here.
She is sure about her pregnancy, with all the changes in her body and the missing menstrual cycle is enough for her to prove her hunch right, but she is just waiting for one miracle.
Had her husband been alive, she would have found one or other way to deal it. Right now she can't even go to any medics, as all are busy trying to find out the reason for Prince Kieran's death.
Moreover, she knew no one here, she can't confide in any, so she choose to follow the techniques she knew.
"What have I done? Why does my child has to see this fate? Why do you have to suffer? Today is supposed to be your wedding night, where both of you would have been in joy… look at the cruel fate" Queen Ayda who lost her son was inconsolable.
"Don't come to any conclusion, it will be too soon to judge someone on the basis of their behaviour, but be cautious and stay alert. Neither trust nor doubt, just stay neutral and it will give you clarity about the things" Alexander said with a smile.
Nodding his head, Alith stepped back. They resumed back their duties, while the Betas are guarding Alexander, he is just restless from the time he arrived in the place. He felt something calling him, he was unable to control his wolf, trying to overpower him.
"Are you okay Alpha King?" One of the Beta's who observed Alexander wriggling in his place quizzed him.
"I am okay, I just need some fresh air" squeezing the cushion placed on the royal bench, Alexander stood on his toes.
"What is with this sudden invitation? I think it's in our previous century we had some sort of relation with humans, now all we face is wars and threats then how come we received an invitation for the annual celebrations of their Kingdom's formation? That's a prestigious event for them, what makes them invite the Werewolves they despise?" Alexander quizzed her father.
"Reasons are unknown, I would love to see you attending the celebration. King Gabriel is one of the most powerful emperor's guarding humans and good friendship with him might help things work in our favour. Maybe a good bond between you both will help in mending the strained relations between humans and Werewolves" Emerson spoke, his words very clear and authoritative voice gave in that he wanted this to happen at any cost.
"As you say Father" Alexander accepted.
"Get our troops ready, be well prepared for anything" Emerson asserted.
Nodding his head Alexander made a mental note about the wolves he will be tagging along.
"Why am I feeling so restless? What is messing me up?" Alexander can't help but question his restless mind giving him all negative thoughts.
Walking towards the Practice area reserved for Beta's and other Wolves, Alexander went behind a tree. Shedding his clothes he shifted in his Wolf form, it was a painful experience to him at the start with time he got adjusted to that.
Alexander's personality when he is human form to when he gets into his real wolf form are poles apart. He is dominant, aggressive and maniac as a wolf. Once his huge golden wolf form walked to the centre, all other gazes lowered.
His silver eyes scrutinized as all the wolves assembled in the line, his rough paws crunching the ground beneath, he howled catching attention and turned to his most trusted Beta Alith.
Alexander howled at Alith and he got what he master wanted in minutes.
Alith sprang into the business and quickly picked the best in their wolves to accompany Alexander to the human territory. Growling loudly Alexander instructed the thirty warriors his beta picked. Diving them into five troops, he assigned them basic roles.
Once done with the instruction all the wolves yelped a howl of respect, turning his paws Alexander made his way to chambers. He wanted to run, he wanted to go out into the forest. His Alpha feels discomfort being in the human skin, it suffocates him.
"Son, can I come in" hearing his mother knock his door Alexander came back to his human farm, putting on his clothes Alexander opened the door.
