5 YEARS LATER:
The weather seems so windy today. As the invisible wind blows, causing many things around the place to flee here and there in a random direction, the trees are waving with an indescribable urgency. However, there is no sign of rain. Not even a single dark, stormy cloud. Just a strong wind blowing causing every dust on the ground to swirl in circles. The wind threatens to form a storm anytime now.
As the wind threatens to lift people's dresses, many of them proceed to take shelter under a huge, tall building that emits a dominant aura.
As everyone was thinking of whether to stay or proceed home, a dark black, eye captivatingly dazing Lamborghini halts in front of that huge building. The commoners who were finding shelter under the dashing building are watching the shiny Lamborghini in awe. Their thoughts are long forgotten. Eager to see who is the one that owns this masterpiece of a car.
As the door for that dark baby fly opens, proudly pointing to the sky, a lady's high heels touch the ground in an impossibly confident manner. So sure of every step.
As she gets out of that car, everyone saw her in such a dreamy state. Amazed not by her beauty, but just her expensive clothes and her cool sunglasses. She was not a beauty who can turn others' heads, but her confident, rich aura made everyone take a longer look at her, Admiring her. Maybe that's her actual specialty.
The first thing that the calculating yet kind eyes met was the huge title that sat on the huge building as if it own that place.
"CA industries" It read. Yes, the largest, now trending with a huge net worth in its pocket was the CA industries whose building was in front of that lady.
She took off her cooling glasses and bowed her head slightly without anyone noticing showing her respect for that company.
While everyone was ogling that beauty who was dressed in a black pantsuit matching her shining Lamborghini, She on the other hand don't even bother caring about the awkward stares everyone was giving her.
When she finished giving the building its respect, she walked in a domineering manner that made it impossible for everyone to not notice her. Her hair flowed in waves making her look like she is walking in a fashion show. All thanks to the wind.
With a professional bag and look, she rocked her way in her walk like owned that damn place. Maybe, that's true. She does own that place.
When she reached the building, she stopped in front of the people who were standing there because of the almost storm.
She turned towards them and smiled warmly. Shock is the only emotion that was written on all their faces. Her smile is not breathtakingly beautiful, but it managed to provide the much-needed warmth to them in this weather.
"Good morning! You all should come and wait in the reception until the storm calms. Please come inside!" She requested politely all the while smiling. They are too amazed to speak anything. Such a kind soul in that confident, dominant aura. She made it seem like she was arrogant when in reality she was a good soul. It surprised everyone.
When she showed the way by extending her hand towards the entrance, they all accepted her invitation.
"Good morning, Mam" the receptionist showed her genuine smile on seeing her boss. Why not if one's boss is like their friend?
" Good morning! Clara!" The company's CEO said in a cheerful way that boosts everyone's energy.
"Clara, Make sure, they leave only after the storm ceases. Am I clear? " she instructed her with a friendly smile.
Then she proceeds to go to her office. In the elevator which was specially made for her, she was humming a cheerful song making sure to boost her already good mood.
When she exited her elevator, her secretary wished her good morning. Of course, the CEO wished her the same.
When she entered her office in her long, confident strides, she was shocked by the surprise that was waiting for her in her office.
" Hey, Calla! Surprise!" her long, lost best friend announced the already obvious.
Calla's face was recovering from the surprise to a long nostalgic look. Her eyes were becoming moist on seeing her only best friend at that painful time, Emily.
"Emily!" Calla shouted in joy and nostalgia running to hug her. It's been years since she has last seen her.
Emily was hugging Calla tight and their minds needless to say were traveling back to that unforgettable college days.
While Emily was remembering everything without any restrictions, Calla on the other side tried to keep her mind from going to one particular person who has turned her life upside down.
Finally, they parted reluctantly. Calla made Emily sit on the CEO's chair despite Emily's disapproval. She then climbed onto the working table in front of the large, CEO seat which gave her better access to speak with Emily.
"You suit it well, you know!" Calla said playfully winking at her best friend.
"Well! What to say? When I have one of the best CEO in the world as a best friend, the seat should at least suit me for a little bit." She sneakily mocked Calla. Well, neither way it's true.
"Ohh... I am flattered, Em!" Calla raised her hand to keep it on her chest and mocked her back.
"So, How are you, Em? It's been years you know!" Calla continued asking about her whereabouts.
"I am ok if we exclude the fact that you haven't come to meet me, whenever I called you if anything happens in my life," Emily said sarcastically, frowning her obvious disappointment and displeasure.
Calla's excited, cheerful face slowly fell on hearing each word.
Calla looked away for the first time after meeting each other again. Not able to meet her best friend's accusing glare.
It's true. she was the one who completely avoided her even though there it was not Emily's fault. She stopped visiting her after graduating college. Only video calls, texts, and some voice messages.
She climbed down from the large working table and walked towards the large glass wall through which the entire city was visible. People are busy living their own lives. Unlike her, who is stuck in the same place, unable to move forward, frustrated with her clueless life.
She looked toward the city thinking about how to answer Emily's accusing question.
"Emily! I already told you! I am busy. This company doesn't provide me enough time to........" I am cut off by her words which made me speechless because of how true it was.
"Is it because of him? It's because of him. Right?" She once again accused me, leaving me thinking about how to answer her question, not making me sound so pathetic.
