The room felt warmer as soon as floki walked in; he oozed an aura that refused tension without him needing to say a word. He smiled at everything, not the pretentious type but the one where he would look in your eyes and hold your stare while genuinely understanding your point of view. I wondered where he had been and why I had heard of him. We all sat down at the head of the table as Floki led the conversations while everyone laughed and accidentally spilled alcohol from their cups.
"When did you arrive?" He asked me.
"Today."
"So did I," Floki replied.
I chuckled. "I know that."
"I find it curious that Marius delayed attacking us until your father died. He must have known that somehow your father would have found a way to stop him." Floki mused.
"How do you mean?" I asked.
"Your father was a brilliant man. Even if Marius is stronger, he would have found a way to win." Floki explained.
