Andor.
I could not believe our luck. After all the bumps we had to go through to get to her, Miriam stood in front of King Andrew. Floki's eyes met mine; knowing him, he was trying very hard to hide his excitement. I gave him a long stare that told him to behave. He listened, and we turned our attention back to the king.
"Is everything okay?" King Andrew inquired from us.
"Of course," I replied.
King Andrew crossed his legs and sunk his back into the chair, then he spoke. "Without her, many kids would have starved to death, or worse, they could have been used as sacrifices by pagans. Their gods accept blood."
I shook my head. "It is indeed a shame. We are all blessed to have someone like sister Miriam in our midst. Taking care of children is indeed a noble profession."
Miriam stood straight-forward as the king, and I praised her good nature; I could tell she was uncomfortable with us talking about her like she wasn't there because she was unknowingly scratching her laps.
