ANDOR.
Apart from the dim light cast by the fire behind us, there was total darkness outside. We were on foot which was risky if they decided to pursue us, but I doubted that was on the minds of the people battling tooth and nail to save their homes. Miriam hung from my shoulders as we ran away from the Monastery towards the direction that Ivar and Asolf were supposed to find us. We halted when we heard the sound of horses moving quickly towards us.
I was worried that they were King Andrew's men or, worse, bandits. They were no time to hang around the monastery, even for the sake of fighting people that wanted to rob us. The horses came into my eyesight; just two people were riding, and they were dragging another horse along; it was Ivar and Asolf.
"My lord, we saw the smoke and assumed that was your signal," Asolf said first.
"I am sorry that we are late. Asolf kept insisting that the fire was random."
