We reached the Roundhay School parking lot within ten minutes and we found the perfect spot for the car. By the way the School where we are attending is one of a kind because it caters werewolves and hybrids students. Hybrid students are half human and half werewolves meaning one of their parents are humans who mated with our kind. The School is considered to be prestigious because most them belong to neighboring pack like Weisler Kingdom and Cardovy Kingdom, as a matter of fact one of the Prince is our classmate. There are other packs that we barely know but those two Kingdoms that I just mentioned are like Royals of our kind.
"Are you done daydreaming Soph?" Vans mocked me as she went out of the car.
"I wasn't I'm just thinking about the school." I replied truthfully.
"If you say so, now come on we need to go inside the class. You know we can't be late." She pulled my hand.
Vanessa and I are both on twelfth grade and under Aunt Sylvia's supervision. She's also our professor on homeroom and she always checks on our school performance. During school days, I can't call her by her name or use our relationship she wants to keep it professional and I couldn't agree more. When she entered the room and sat on her desk, her aura changes from cool aunt to a strict Professor. She placed her things on the table and begins to roll out the attendance for today.
"Morning class! Take your seats please." Mrs. Payne greeted.
We all did and since Vanessa and I are attached by hip we made our chairs close to one another and made sure to be attentive on each class we are on. Mrs. Payne started calling names until it's my turn to be called.
"Williams?" Her eyes landed on me.
"Here!" I acknowledged myself.
She went back on her attendance sheet and I began zoning out until I caught my best friend checking out the guy who just stood by the door. It was none other than Anthony Irvine, he is a Pura Lupus and the Prince of Weisler Kingdom. Back to Anthony, Mrs. Payne reprimanded him to take his seat and he chose the chair behind Vanessa. I can tell my bestie is battling with her wolf because I can see her reaction I made a mental note to talk to her later about it. When the attendance was over, Mrs. Payne speaks up again giving us information about whose birth month it is. It was part of the School's tradition to announce it to give way for unmated wolves to find their mates easily.
"As you all know, August is coming so here are the names of the birthday celebrants namely Bennett, Irvine and Thompson." She went to the billboard and pin their names.
As I heard the names, I saw Vanessa widen her eyes knowing it could be Edison or Anthony who can be her possible mate. Anthony is the school heartthrob and the biggest jerk of all but somehow I think Vans and Anthony fit together. Edison Thompson, is the son of our Coach Earl Thompson and I think he belongs to Anthony's pack. I may not like Anthony that much but I preferred him than Edison for my bestie.
"Since the vacation is almost near I would like to inform you that we will be having school fair and you need to come up with ideas for each booth." Mrs. Payne announced as the class began to cheer.
"Maybe we will meet our mate on the fair, what do you think Sophie?' She gets excited.
"Don't keep your hopes up Ruby.' I opposed her idea since it's been a month after my birthday and I haven't found him yet.
"But don't you want to find our mate?" She whined.
"Who wouldn't want to find their mates?" I just groaned sometimes she could act like a total child.
"Are you not thinking about him maybe he is also looking for us?' She asked.
"Of course I wanted to! It's just that we need to focus on our class right now Aunt Sylvia will give me detention if she sees us - you and I both know how she is at school." I pointed out and Ruby listened.
"Okay as you wish." Ruby sulked at the corner of my brain.
"Thank you. You're the best wolf in the whole world." I complimented her.
"What is the theme for this year?" Vanessa inquired to our professor excitedly as I went back to the class discussion.
"It will be summer." She pitched in while we keep on cheering.
"Who will be the Fair Committee?" One of our classmates popped in.
"Nice question Thompson. I'm actually assigning you, Irvine and Bennett to be the Fair Committees. It will be your team responsibility to supervise the fair set-up and ensure the facility is ready for the event." Our professor pointed her finger to them.
I'm glad I'm off as Committee on the upcoming fair this time because it's the most exhausting event since it was my duty last year to handle the planning. Now its Vans turned to do it and I'm happy hearing that news.
"I also want the three of you to appoint coordinators for each stalls and activities." Mrs. Payne continued talking specifically to the people she mentioned.
"When will be the school fair?" Anthony seems not happy being the Committee.
"It will be in two weeks." Mrs. Payne specified while my wolf suddenly chipped in.
"Mrs. Payne, what will the coordinators task will be just to make it clear?" I raised my hand.
"They need to organize the lists of the people who will join or attend the fair; they will be responsible in designing the venue but of course you can ask you classmates/friends to help. Lastly the school will give a budget on it and its their task to adhere to the given budget." She instructed while I noted her instructions.
The endless planning the School's event and our homeroom subject ended after an hour so I put my notes in my bag and went ahead of Vanessa since she's a bit busy talking with Edison about the fair. I decided to go to my locker and picked up my books for the next class and so I can head to my next class and saved Vanessa's seat. As I walk to the hallway, I smelled the intoxicating scent; it's like a mixture of lavender and amber with a bit of sandalwood.
'That's our Mate's scent! Find it Sophie.' Ruby called in getting wired.
"What about our next class? You know Dad won't like it if we skipped.' I stated the fact.
"I want mate! Mate! Find mate!' Ruby stubbornly rants.
"Will you stop it please?" I just sighed trying not to lose my patience on my wolf.
"But he is our mate not some rouges or some ordinary wolf Dad will understand us I'm sure of that." She justified.
"Here's the deal we will follow the scent and then we will go back okay?" I gave her an option.
'"Deal. Now let's go! I'm dying to know who he is." Ruby is in happy mode making me smile too.
"You just have to enhance your senses for him." I analyzed the smell and the surroundings.
"Are you ready to meet him?" I asked my wolf.
"As I'll ever be." She became excited.
The scent became strong as we reach the hallway where Mr. Langston office is. To be honest, I'm also edgy about meeting my mate but what I saw appalled me.
