SOPHIA POV
"Miss Sophia, thank you for letting me know what to expect in the fair." Macy spoke softly.
"Macy just please call me Sophia." I corrected her kindly.
"Sophia it is. Anyway I really don't know much about fairs since I go to public school." Macy admitted humbly.
"Don't worry it's not a big deal, so are you willing to help me designing the booths?" I squeezed her hand.
"Of course Miss--- I meant Sophia. What specific booths are we making?" Macy tone laced with excitement.
"Vans gave me some list and I'm also thinking of creating a marriage booth. It will be fun for mated couples or unmated ones to find their mates. Who knows maybe we could help them?" I plastered a big smile.
"That's great idea but are there any specific things we need to buy?" She inquired.
"Some props for wedding like bouquet and short veil maybe." I thought about the essential stuff for wedding.
"I will tell Michael to get those since he is more out to the town with Princess Vanessa and he knows more store here than I do so it's easier." She recommended.
"How do you think jail booth sounds? Is it too cliché or not?" I proposed another idea.
"It's going be fun too but what will be the reason for them to be captured? Who will bail them out or how long they have to stay in prisoned?" Macy pointed out.
"Hmm how about we gave out some coupons saying they will be free after thirty minutes. Then whoever left in the cell after the time lapse will give the next rules for apprehending the next prisoners. What do you think?" I gave my opinion.
"That's great and exciting!" She imagined the scenario.
"Yeah it is." I nod in agreement.
"Thank you for including me in this type of fairs." She hugged me.
"Vanessa is my friend and so are you and besides the more the merrier right?" I assured her.
We were on that moment when Michael appeared to inform that my service is waiting at the driveway.
"Thanks Michael, bye Macy." I bid them goodbye.
As soon I got to the vicinity of our pack house, I could hear my mother's hysterical voice from ten yards. I took a long deep breath because I know my eardrum will be numb for the rest of the night.
"Sophia Lauren! Do you know what time is it?" Mom dragged me out of the car as soon as it hit the front door.
"Mom! Will you calm down please?" I tried losing her grip on my elbow but I failed to do so because she didn't badge.
"It's already past 6 and you just came home now!" Mom's grip remains tight no matter how hard I squirmed.
"Dear why don't you let Sophia's arm go before it bruises." Dad rescued me.
"Fine." My mom's tone softened a little bit.
"Thanks Dad." I acknowledged him.
"Do you have any valid reasons why you came home late?!" Mom folded her arms eyeing me up and down.
"I'm at Vanessa; we were busy preparing for the fair and I lost track of time." I explained.
"We can't contact your phone and even your mind link works!!" Mom is still fuming while Dad rubs her back to soothe her.
"Don't you know that we have been worried sick about you?" Dad asked me.
"My phone got drained." I apologized sincerely after checking my cellphone.
"I'm sorry for making you both worried it won't happen again." I can tell Mom is still upset with me.
"You are the soon Alpha of this pack and you need to be responsible, how many times do I have to remind you about it?!" Mom started with her lecture that I always hear.
"What's happening here?" Aunt Sylvia came in.
"Hi sis!" Dad greeted her.
"So what's the commotion all about? I could hear you voice from half a mile Madeline." My Aunt pointed her finger at my mother.
"Your niece somehow went of radar for five hours and forgot to tell that she's at Vanessa's through mindlinked at least. She apparently forgot to let us know about her whereabouts." Mom didn't even pause while talking.
"I actually suggested her to carpool with Vanessa since I'll be coming home late from meeting and agreed to pick her up. "Don't patronize your niece I know you're covering her up." My mom is still not done with her rant.
In the middle of her outburst, I was wishing I have the power to silence her since that can be useful most of the time with my Mom especially if she's in her beast mode. I mentally smiled and Ruby joined that train of imagination.
"But sadly we don't." Ruby commented cheekily.
"I am not. As a matter of fact after I finished my meeting I called Vanessa and she informed me that Sophia is already on her way here." Aunt Sylvia winked at me secretly.
"Thank you." I mouthed to my life saver.
"You know how strict I am when it comes to updating her location." Mom reasoned out.
"Sophia is very responsible child she knows what she's doing." Aunt defended me again. She is my life savior every time Mom lectured me.
"I am telling you Sophia this will be the last time or you'll be grounded." My mom threatened me.
"Cut her some slack Madeline you do know that her car is still in repair shop so instead of causing damage to our ears go call the auto shop and demand to have the car be done tomorrow, don't you think?" Aunt suggested with flipped her hair.
"Fine, I'll call them but the next time this happens I will not cut you off from being grounded." Mom looked my way.
"Noted Mom. I'm sorry." I bowed my head with respect.
"Finally! Now it's settled, let's eat I'm starving!" Dad butted in and took Mom's hand with him.
During dinner Aunt discussed the school fair and I informed her about my participation to the event. They gave me some more ideas that I jotted in my mind overall the dinner went well and everyone proceed to their own floors. I head to my bedroom and booted up my laptop to make some additional research about the design for the booths. It was around midnight when I felt my eyes are getting tired. I lay down and my thoughts went back to the mysterious scent that I encountered soon I drifted off to sleep.
