The halls of Samnaeth School were like a battlefield after Adriel's sudden change in behavior. It was like he got bitten by a love bug and turned into a flirty beast overnight. And to top it all off, he started dating girls left and right!
I am Jacques and as Adriel's best friend, I found myself in the middle of all the madness. Everywhere I went, I was surrounded by Yanderes, all trying to get closer to Adriel. It was like being stuck in a romantic version of The Walking Dead, and I was the last survivor.
I tried to warn Adriel about the dangers of dating multiple girls at once, but he just shrugged it off with a confident smirk. "Hey, I can handle it," he said. But I knew better. These girls were not to be messed with.
I could hear the sound of angry footsteps approaching, and I knew that I was in for a rough ride. It was one of the guys from the basketball club, and he was looking around frantically, like a meerkat on steroids.
"Damned Jacques, where's Adriel that one..." he growled, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. I rolled my eyes. Why did I have to be the one to deal with this guy's temper tantrums?
I knew exactly what was going on. His name is Leo, and he had a major crush on Adriel, but since he couldn't get anywhere near him, he took his frustration out on me. It was like being a punching bag for a lovesick basketball player.
But I wasn't about to take his crap lying down. "He's not here, dude," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Maybe try looking somewhere else for once?"
The guy glared at me, his nostrils flaring. "You're lucky Adriel's not here," he sneered. "Otherwise, I'd make sure you regret crossing me."
Adriel's charm was like a magnet, drawing everyone towards him. Everyone except me, that is. His smooth-talking and suave moves just didn't work on me. Thank goodness for small miracles, right?
As I strolled down the hall, I heard the unmistakable sounds of trouble brewing. A group of delinquents had cornered a poor first-year kid, and it was up to me, a second-year student, to save the day.
I approached the group, my heart pounding with fear and determination. "Why don't you leave him alone?" I shouted, hoping to scare them off.
The leader of the delinquents turned to face me, sizing me up with a sneer. I could tell he recognized me as someone from Adriel's inner circle. See, in this school, there's a strict hierarchy. The outcasts are at the bottom, followed by the nerds and then the athletes. Above them are the cheerleaders, and then the delinquents. And at the very top of the food chain is Adriel, the great king of the school. As a member of Adriel's class, I was pretty much untouchable. Or so I thought.
To my surprise, the delinquent didn't back down. "Who do you think you are, trying to boss us around?" he snarled. I gulped, realizing that this might be a tougher fight than I thought. But I wasn't about to back down. Not when someone needed my help.
And so, the battle began. Me, a mere mortal, against a delinquent with a chip on his shoulder. It was a fight for the ages, one that would go down in Samnaeth School history. And as I stood my ground, fists at the ready, I couldn't help but wonder: where the hell was Adriel when I needed him?
I took a deep breath and prepared to use my secret weapon. "If you beat me, Adriel will show up!" I declared, hoping to scare the delinquent into submission.
But he just laughed in my face. "Like I care about that weakling Adriel," he sneered, puffing out his chest in a show of bravado.
I rolled my eyes. This guy was a rookie. He had no idea what he was getting himself into by messing with me. And more importantly, he had no idea who my friends were.
As soon as he uttered those fateful words, I could feel the ground shake beneath my feet. Elizabeth and Elora, two of Adriel's most devoted lovers, appeared out of nowhere, their eyes glowing with bloodlust.
"You dare insult my Darling?" Elizabeth growled, her nails sharpening into claws. "You will pay for your insolence, delinquent!"
The delinquent tried to run, but it was too late. Elizabeth and Elora had already closed in, their fingers digging into his flesh like talons. In a matter of seconds, he was screaming in agony, begging for mercy.
I just stood back and watched, feeling a strange mix of horror and amusement. It was clear that this delinquent had underestimated the power of Adriel's class. And now, he was paying the price. RIP, rookie delinquent.
"Thank you.." The boy stuttered, still shaking with fear. He wasn't used to the kind of chaos that was parred for the course at Samnaeth School.
"I didn't do anything," I shrugged, straightening my clothes that the delinquent had crumpled in his futile attempts to escape Elizabeth and Elora's wrath.
The boy looked up at me with a mixture of fear and desperation in his eyes. "C-could you show me around the school?" he asked his voice barely above a whisper.
I considered for a moment. After all, I didn't have anything better to do. And besides, it was always good to help out newbies.
"Sure," I said, flashing him a smile. "Consider me your personal tour guide to the wild world of Samnaeth School." And with that, I set off down the hallway, the nervous newbie trailing in my wake like a lost puppy.
